Rumpofsteelskin
You can find lots of old set, but there's no telling if they're withered. Still good for parts, and that's pretty much the only way to get old masks. What have you guys gotten from there?

BBBBalta
I personally have never bought any LEGO stuff off Ebay, but there are sometimes good deals there. Bricklink is much more useful when buying LEGO stuff; it's easy to find exactly what you're looking for. Sometimes stuff on Bricklink can be a bit pricey, though; if you're looking for something that's expensive on Bricklink there's a chance it'll be cheaper on Ebay. <Reverb>
I've gotten a few assorted older sets from EBay. I only bought from sellers with high rep, less of a chance for scams, etc. Only thing I can say is research the seller, see how much rep they have, check their previous sells. Just A Dot
I'm gonna estimate that about 120 of my sets are from eBay, and that's no exaggeration. I only bought about 30 new.

Master Inika
I get BIONICLE stuff on eBay all the time. You can sometimes get things for cheap on there, sometimes you have to dish out a bit. It varies. The main thing in deciding a product's quality is to read the description and look carefully at the pictures. Quote "You are an absolute in these uncertain times. TechnicRage
Bricklink FTW. It has very cheap and quality BIONICLE parts. It's too bad I learned that too late.
