It's been over a month since I started working at McDonalds, and it's been going well. I seem to be doing better than some of the kids that work there. I've also been living with a friend, and I'm really excited to move into my own apartment. It'll be fantastic to finally have a space for my cat, and to once again have my own room. I just had to build something with that pretty transparent Mask of Fire. In my head this is just "trans-fluorescent-orange lava Toa," but officially he's a Tahu remake. Well, not quite. I'm moving in about 36 hours. Going back to Alabama! Neither Florida nor Alabama have really felt like the right place for me, but I am excited to move back to my hometown. A wonderful friend is giving me a place to stay while I get settled...It's gonna be sweet.
I have to have blood drawn every month to get it tested, and I learned three months ago (the first time that I had it drawn) that I'm totally prone to passing out. Tomorrow I have to give blood for the third time, and I'm dreading it. Here's what happened when I passed out: -was blind for 3+ minutes -the nurse kept putting ammonia in my face and it took a few seconds for me to smell it -couldn't talk -my hearing got...weird It was an interesting experience...but I hope it doesn't happen agai
I was at Walmart today and the Minecraft sets caught my eye. If they had Snow Hideout I probably would have caved in and bought it...fortunately they didn't, but they did have a bunch of $5 Mixels, so I decided to finally buy one. Mixels are pretty great. It was a tough choice between this guy and the purple wizard, in the end I made a snap decision and went with Glomp. I like his mustache.
Long story short, I had to leave most of my possessions with my brother when I flew down to FL. So for the past ~6 months, I haven't even had my own computer! Well a couple of days ago he said he would go ahead and ship one of my PCs to me, so in a couple of weeks I'll finally be able to produce music again. Today I passed out with my arm tucked beneath my pillow. A couple hours later, I awoke in that same position, and my right arm was dead. From the elbow down, it just felt like rubber. Couldn't move it at all, and it was completely numb. It was really weird to lift my arm up, and watch my hand just flop down like a piece of meat. After a couple minutes, it went back to normal, so I guess there's no lasting damage. Side note: the second Harry Potter movie had a fairly accurate portrayal of this.

When I was a kid, my family travelled a lot. I actually spent very little time in the States from '04 till '09, so I missed out on a lot of Bionicle - but I never forgot about it, and I missed it the entire time I was out of the country. The figure itself doesn't use any creative techniques or anything, I just wanted to share the shield design. Building this made me wish we got mask packs. I get why they're not a thing, but it sucks being forced to work gold into so many MOCs just so I can use different masks.
