See, that's what I thought, but that other person I referred to said it looked red...

I always thought it was red.

But it might depend on how one's monitor is calibrated. It could also be influence from your red avatar that is making me percieve it as red. If I look closer I can kind of see the orange, but yeah... looks red to me.

Hm, to me it looks like an orangey shade of red. But, I mean, I can only see the dress as white and gold, so take my opinion on colors with a grain of salt.

If you'd prefer science, according to various color picker websites I checked, #CC3300 / rgb(204,51,0) is just barely closer to red than it is to orange. By that I mean, just changing it to #CC3400 / rgb(204,52,0) would be technically considered a shade of orange.

Three oranges, three reds... hmm. Totally orangered or redorange or orangeorangered or redredorange or redredorangeorange or orangeorangeredred.

It seems to be both orange or red depending on what I want to see it as but it does seem a little bit more red than orange most of the time.

It looks kinda like burnt orange, and so is simply the color of pure evil.

Looks more red to me. The color in your avatar, by contrast, looks red at the edges but orange in the middle.

Text looks orange and avatar looks red. In my mind, this isn't mutually exclusive to the fact that they are the same color.
