Stephanie Meyer: Inventor Of Werewolves Apparently

It's worth mentioning beforehand that The Wolfman is from Universal Pictures, the same place that made the first werewolf movie.

To whom this may concern:

This movie was a complete waste and I feel that it offends ALL Twilight Fans around the world, that including myself. For one, it was a COMPLETE remaking of the Wolf Pack from the Twilight Saga: New Moon. It gives the werewolves a bad name and makes them look like some deformed mutation of a rabid dog. I actually started to like werewolves after seeing Jacob Black and all his awesomeness on the big screen at the movies. That was until I saw your ###### remake of what you call to be a "were wolf". I don't see how you live with yourself for making it the way you did. If I made this movie, I would be ashamed to even admit that I owned it. How can a werewolf be killed with a silver bullet? Better yet, have you saw the transformation of the man that is "supposed" to be the wolf? He sits in some chair and his entire body turns in to some mutated freak. If you would watch the transformation of Jacob Black, (Taylor Lautner) he doesn't come close to looking as fake, cheap and or mutated as the wolf man. You tell me, who looks to be the better werewolf. Your stupid Wolf Movie didn't even make the top Movie for the charts; Valentines Day WITH TAYLOR Lautner! Get that this is MY oppinion and I felt I wanted to express it because I saw that your email was on your site. I wanted to let you know this is what i thought of the wolf man that sucks.

FREAKIN LAUTNER DID!

The Poser of who could never be even if they tried : " Aka : Rabid poser Werewolf "The Wolf Man"

OR My favorite: Taylor Daniel Lautner aka Jacob Black

I lol'd.

Not because of how cheap-looking the werewolves look in Twilight, but because of how fake that actor's body looks =P

Wolfman has better werewolves than Twilight. Twilight has destroyed the images of werewolves and vampires in the minds of this generation.

I'm a Twilight fan, and this chica is clearly a poser. First of all, every Taycob fangirl knows that New Moon poster is photo-shopped - not his real body. And, Jacob isn't even a real werewolf. It is declared in Breaking Dawn that the wolf pack are in fact merely shape shifters (its genetic in their tribe) and the animal form they take just happens to be wolves. So, she wins extra d*****s points for not even fully comprehending a series she so vehemently loves. *shakes head*

not even defended by her own kind, lul

This guy obviously doesn't know that it's a remake of the 1941 film. ><

Also: There have been a looot of werewolves in TV in recent years. He must've seen a non-Twilight one at some point!

There's no way that was a real Twilight fan.

No one can be that stupid. And If someone is, then I Really don't want to see what'll happen with a zombie in Twilight.

How can someone be so Ignorant?

Twilight is a curse. We must kill it with fire.

The only thing I respect about that movie is that the guy who plays Jacob had to put on 30 pounds of muscle.

That's a respectable fact indeed.

Btw. In my opinion, the best werewolf story is still a Mickey-Mouse comic from Disney I read years ago. And while it was just for kids it was more accurate then any other story I know so far.

eh, jacob can be called a werewolf, as there are 3 types, lhycans, magicians, and wolfmans. WOLFMAN ALL THE WAY!

wait, i got something funny: I ACTUALLY LIKED VAMPIRES BEFORE THIS MOVIE CAME OUT! TWILIGHT IS A DISGRACE TO BLADE AND I HOPE BLADE COMES AND KILL THAT STUPID EDWARD THAT STOLE MY BLOODY NAME!!!!!

XD, that was win to read, huh? (what i said)

Hey, uh, you DO know that the first guy is actually from a remake, so he's pretty faithful to one of the first mainstream werewolves, The 1941 Wolfman.

Besides, fanservice (sometimes) does not mean it's good, just that theres some compensation going on. Like, forexample, for lack of *insert criticism here*.

OH, and the only CGI in the 2010 Wolfman movie was in the werewolf transformations. The actual werewolves were played by actors covered in yak hair, and the special effects were from someone who I daresay is an expert in werewolf make-up, having worked on several other movies including An American Werewolf in London.

I beat you to the punch, Xae.

@RCF: Werewolves, unlike vampires, were rarely associated with romance. There have been movies, TV shows, and books, in which there has been romance surrounding werewolves, but the focus of the mythos has never really been on romance. With werewolves of any kind, it doesn't matter which you would rather date, it's which one you need to protect yourself from. (Normally all of them.)

Not sure whether I should laugh or cry.

I should point out, however that stupidity is part of all fanbases and walks of life. This paticular series however, seems to attract more than most.

Now who looks more appealing to you? The first discusting dude or Taylor Lautner aka Jacob Black.?.... It's a no brainer..... Taylor Lautner looks a heck of a lot better!

The concept of a werewolf isn't supposed to be about appearance though. A werewolf is supposed to be scary. It's supposed to be frightening. It's not supposed to be attractive, it's supposed to be repulsive, both for shock value since it's a concept with roots in folklore meant to induce fright and terror, and arguably for some sort of vague moral about the evils within that one must control. Or something like that, again, that's really for interpretation so I'm not looking to argue it.

And on top of that, frankly, the more traditional werewolf I think is more interesting. Jakie is Microsoft Incredible Hulk: Wolf edition. I haven't seen The Wolfman, but assuming it follows the traditional connotations of lycanthropy it likely does since people've been saying it's a good remake, in addition to the mental fight between the protagonist's human and wolf halves, there's a look at how society treats a pariah, albeit a dangerous one, the moral conflict of those who knew him before he became a werewolf, amongst other things.

honestly? the top one, given its faithfulness to the concept of lycanthropy.

besides, Jacob's not even a real werewolf, just a shapeshifter who happens to take the form of a wolf.

I think that's hardly the point.

The point is, which is more accurate to the common understanding of Werewolf?

And of course the first one is much more werewolfish.

Even when that Twilight guy transforms he looks more like a... whatchacallit... those guys who turn into straight up wolves/dogs. Like Sirius (sp?) in Harry Potter. :P
