  1. I actually approve of the Jedi's a little more. They have to deal with human factors and a wide variety of political enforcement and war... and despite all that still be peaceable and neutral.

I think the Toa have it too easy to stay just, and the Jedi have to work harder at it. So overall, Jedi have a better code of honor.

  2. so

    in other words

dress based on what other people think.

I'm sorry, you must have not have read my comment. Let me say again. :)

Really, as long as you're comfortable with what you wear, who cares how it affects anyone else? I mean, it's all about you. =D

  3. slippery slope or not, it's kind of a valid point/question, given that Grant pretty much blatantly said that you should base how you dress around what people will think.

No. You need to be considerate if your clothing does offend other people. >=(

If I wore whatever I wanted, and someone was offended or uncomfortable with my clothes and how I looked, that means I should expect them to completely change their ways and fit with how "I" think I should be portrayed?

That's what's basically been said in the above comments?

Yeah. Let me forget about the other guy, cause what I wear is completely comfortable to me, and he needs to change his ways because I'm right and who cares if they get the wrong idea because I believe it portrays me fine.

  4. No it's inconsiderate of you to expect everyone to dress to meet your expectations. For instance, if you're worried that a woman dressing revealingly is going to affect you poorly, that is not her fault, it is yours. It is up to you to react to others, it is not up to them to tailor their outfit choices to meet your standards.

I'm just saying, would it be so horrible to be considerate about how your clothing effects others? Just as much as you're supposed to be reasonable as to what someone likes to wear? =/

I do know Taka a little and she's totally awesome. :B I'm not like dissing her or anything, I'm just saying I disagree that you wear what you want, when you want.

Also, as far as immodest clothing... I'm sorry but people just can't wear what they want. =/ Having girls wear tight and revealing clothing, is uncomfortable and shows they have no self respect. It also draws in the wrong attention, which doesn't reveal anything about their inner person (or...maybe it DOES which is worse) Same with guys who wear shorts that go past their underwear.

Yeah, shaming others for their choice of clothing or expressions of who they are isn't okay on BZPower. Tight or revealing clothing might be uncomfortable to you, but to those wearing it, it might be the freest and most comfortable outfit. And to say that it shows no self-respect? Extremely condescending, rude, and disrespectful of you, and I think it says more about you than about these women you are condemning in one fell-swoop. I know many girls who wear tight or slightly revealing clothing because they are proud of themselves and their body. You don't get to define that for them.

Our first rule here on BZPower is respect- you are not showing it, and I will not have this in the blogs.

But I feel like I am showing respect. >=/ What you wear does define what other people think of you, and you allow that without a care of how it effects them, just so you're "comfortable"? Isn't that somewhat inconsiderate on that person's part?

I'm not being rude or anything and certainly didn't mean to throw anybody off if I worded that incorrectly. But I mean come on... there are certain things you just shouldn't wear and it isn't necessary. Clothing isn't an only means of expressing who you are.
