IC, Aurax: Po-Koro Aurax quickly turned back and held his katana out in front of him in a fighting stance. "Well, that's one way to garner attention!" he said to Lekua and Sigrus. He paused and held his ground momentarily as he observed a pair of Sentinels arrive and begin doing their peacekeeping duties. "That buys us some time, then, at least!" Aurax called back, lowering his katana as he did so. His guard was not lowered, however. The Dashi turned back to the Suva. He finished his approach and began to examine the ancient stone closely. He ran his fingers over it, examining every groove and crevice in the weathered shrine. What exactly was he looking for? Answers? Some direction? Aurax himself didn't know at that point, but he continued scrutinizing the Suva nonetheless. OOC: @Harvali @ARROW404 @Mel @Lady Takanuva @Tarn @BULiK @~Xemnas~ @BBBBalta @Umbraline Yumiwa @Rahisaurus

IC, Aurax: Po-Koro Aurax picked up the pace at Timak's warning. "As soon as you see something that stands out," the Dashi said with hurried breath. As they approached the Suva, Aurax had to fight the urge to stop running to marvel at the new construction overlaying the shrine. Having spent most of his life in the village of Stone, Aurax had always appreciated stonework and carving. He glanced over the figures carved into the pillars, noting that, while some events he was familiar with were depicted, there were others that he was unfamiliar with. Probably what had happened in his absence. Well, it's no Hafu original, but... he almost said aloud. Nodding in appreciation to Sigrus, Aurax then turned to Nichou. "Right, if it's too new, it probably won't hold any secrets despite being a great work," he agreed. "Sigrus, Lekua, I'd like you two to come with me to take a look at the Suva." He pulled his katana out of its scabbard, the translucent blue crystal making an almost melodical noise as it was drawn. "The rest of you, keep your eyes and ears peeled. Be ready for anything." He began to turn toward the Suva, but then turned back. "Oh, also," he added, "if anything happens to me, I'd like the rest of you to keep journeying together. I regret the way Stannis's Companions broke up, so it'd be nice if you could all stay as a group... even if I die again." With that said, Aurax turned and began to step toward the Po-Koro Suva, unsure of what, if anything, he would find. IC, Atamai: Ko-Koro Atamai shivered and pulled his cloak tighter around himself. He wasn't sure if it was because of the cold, or because of the whole ordeal he and the other two Matoran had just been through. It was probably both. "...a little bit," he said quietly. "Not quite to the point of wanting to lose a part of myself, but yes, I have considered taking breaks. Part of the reason why I joined you and Kreigero, I think. Now if your question would be about taking a break from things that would put my life in danger..." OOC: @BULiK @Tarn

IC, Aurax: Po-Koro Aurax's eyes remained locked with Kanohi's. He could tell that, however it was that Kanohi believed, or knew, something was coming for him, it was a real fear. He nodded. "Okay," he said. "I believe you. But I still don't think hiding is the best answer. I appreciate the concern, I really do, but the last time I tried to help a friend hide from Makuta's servants..." his voice trailed off as he looked over to Nichou and Lekua. "...it didn't go well. I don't want to repeat that and be on the receiving end of whatever horrible second death may await me. "However," he continued, "I don't think it's a coincidence that Kanohi relays this information to us as we plan on heading over to the Suva. Maybe something, or someone, doesn't want us to go there, which would mean that we're pulling the right thread. New plan- we head for the Suva right now." He glanced around. "Be on your guard and keep your eyes up. We don't know exactly what the threat looks like. Timak," he said to the Toa of Sonics. "Keep your ears open, we'll need your sharp hearing. Let us know if something sounds amiss." He turned to Ranok. "Ranok, if something does go down, we'll definitely need your lungs to alert the Sentinels." He shifted his sheathed katana to make sure it was within reach. "And everyone, be ready to draw your weapons at a moment's notice." He began to lead his friends towards the Suva, at a more urgent pace now. OOC: @Harvali @ARROW404 @Mel @Lady Takanuva @Tarn @BULiK @~Xemnas~ @BBBBalta @Umbraline Yumiwa @Rahisaurus

IC, Aurax: Iron Canyon The Glatorian nodded grimly and grunted. "Good," he said. "I hope to not be a tribe of one after we investigate, assuming I survive this trip at all. Which seems increasingly less likely by the moment." OOC:@Burnmad @oncertainty @Toru Nui @Nato G @a goose

IC, Aurax: Po-Koro Aurax's heart skipped a beat. He thought back to his first (and hopefully only) death. He didn't want to experience that again. And yet... "If there truly is something coming for me, then hiding won't do any good." He turned back to Kanohi. "How do you know something's coming for me?" he asked. IC, Aurax: Po-Koro Aurax frowned in concern. Kanohi's frantic clicking could tell him that something was wrong, but what exactly it was, he wasn't sure. "What is it, Kanohi?" he asked. He gestured to Kanohi's tablet. "Something wrong?" OOC: @Harvali @ARROW404 @Mel @Lady Takanuva @Tarn @BULiK @~Xemnas~ @BBBBalta @Umbraline Yumiwa @Rahisaurus

IC, Aurax: Iron Canyon Aurax sat with Xyde on the third watch. He was silent, unhappy at the whole situation. Unhappy with what had befallen his home village, the likelihood that he would die, all of it. "You're a medic, right?" he asked, finally breaking the silence. "Would you be able to assess any people or bodes we come across?" OOC:@Burnmad @oncertainty @Toru Nui @Nato G @a goose

IC, Aurax: Po-Koro Aurax raised an eyebrow at Ranok, questioning what the bard had told Timak and Kanohi. Upon receiving the same information, Aurax nodded and led the group over to the tram station. There was indeed a map there, just as Ranok had said. "Let's see..." he murmured as he scanned over the map. Using familiar landmarks like the Suva and the Vuata Maca tree, he was able to pinpoint where his house was. Or where it was supposed to be, anyway. One particular labeled location on the map stood out to him: Office of Stannis Maru. Aurax chuckled. The thought of Stannis of all people having an office was funny to him. From what he remembered, Stannis was not the type of person who was content to sit around in an office. But it probably be a good idea to talk to him, let him know I'm back, the Dasaka thought to himself. After I check on my house. "Alright, I think I know where to go," Aurax said. "We can go check out the Suva after we get to my place." OOC: @Harvali @ARROW404 @Mel @Lady Takanuva @Tarn @BULiK @~Xemnas~ @BBBBalta @Umbraline Yumiwa @Rahisaurus Finally got around to a post.

IC, Aurax: Po-Koro It was morning when Aurax and his friends finally reached Po-Koro. They had walked all the previous day and camped out in the desert when it got dark. But now, Aurax was home. A smile grew on his face as they neared the entrance to the village. As they got closer, though, his smile faded to bewilderment. "...huh," was all he could manage to utter after stepping through the gate. The village of Stone had vastly changed since Aurax had last been there. He could hardly recognize it. He couldn't recognize it at all, in fact. There were unfamiliar buildings everywhere, people were running around, there were strange... contraptions, moving on rails, and the crowds would part for them. The Dashi could spy a large wall further ahead. He knew, based on how different Ga-Koro was, he shouldn't have been surprised at how much his home village had changed. And yet, he still was. "I'll, uh, try to get us to my old house," he said as he began to lead the others through the throngs of people. Some of them gave him odd glances. "I mean, if it's still there..." IC, Aurax: Iron Canyon “Sun’s getting high. Keep an eye out for a cave or nook.” Aurax's face remained expressionless at Tueris's remark, but make no mistake, he was on edge. He was used to going through Iron Canyon, but not so much with other people. He glanced around, making sure to spot anything that the group could hole up in, no pun intended. The sooner they could find shelter, the better; they were less vulnerable if they weren't out in broad daylight.

IC, Aurax: Po-Wahi "I've never seen one. A Suva. I heard that Toa use it to store artefacts of power." Aurax nodded. "Yes and no," he said to Timak, "the First Toa had used them to store the Kanohi that they had collected around the island. As far as I'm aware, they aren't used for much anymore, they're mostly symbolic in function now." "How much further? My feet ache." The Dashi laughed. "Afraid it's gonna take a while to get there," he chuckled. "Might get there by tomorrow if we get lucky. We'll probably have to make camp out here in the desert when it gets dark." IC, Aurax: Po-Wahi The Dashi's eyebrows furrowed as he became lost both in thought and in memories, memories of his time with Stannis and the others, visiting the Kini-Nui and the temples of the Principles. Just like old times, but without direction... Public... mundane... Suddenly a thought occurred to him, one with such clarity that it almost made him feel like he was regaining his memories all over again. "If you want public," he said, looking at Nichou, "we should take a look at the Suvas! There's one in every village, two in every Wahi, but ever since the First Toa lost to Makuta, they've sat in the middle of each Koro. Even before the Wanderer's Company was formed people would pass by them like they would a rock in the middle of the road." Direction! IC, Aurax: Precipere, Lift The Glatorian wordlessly stepped onto the lift with Tueris and the rest of the group. He avoided making eye contact with anyone, instead choosing to stare blankly off into space. He was not looking forward to the journey to come.
