  1. A Choose Your Own Adventure with choices that remain in effect and what not?

I have actually been working on/involved in many such projects where we all use this relatively simple program. You write the scenes and everything but then the choices made will be reflected in your stats and later on in the story.

PM me for more details, I do feel like this is pretty much what you're hoping to make. It'll also make it a lot easier as you now have a nice structure for your approach.

  2. I'm not mentioned John?

    Disappointment.

    Anyhow joining the Ambage:

About the points thing, only like a couple people actually care, the rest of us are too lazy or just to bored to actually try and tally/get points.

However the coolest thing about the Ambage is definitely the community, the Skype group there is one of the coolest I know, and trust me I'm on like 8 Skype Groups filled with dozens of members. Those guys are perhaps some of my best friends now and I never would've met them if not for the Ambage. The community there is just a lot of fun and I'm sure you'll have a blast there.

Now as for being active, well take it from me one of the least active in terms of the writing portion, all you'll need to really spare is like 15 minutes a month and you should be good. In fact it doesn't even have to be during the weekend when Writeoffs normally are, lots of people post late entries for Writeoffs, we're all pretty lax over in the Ambage.

Finally as for improvement in writing, let me put it this way, the Writeoffs helped me speed up my writing to the point where I managed to write a story in 45 minutes right before the deadline of this contest in my area.

I came in 1st Place, won 100 bucks, and beat out all the other entrants, most of whom where Seniors and Juniors. I'm a Freshman.

So yeah, the Ambage does help a ton and above all it's just fun place to be. Give it a shot, if you like it great, if not well you can always drop out. Haha, just kidding, one does not simply leave the Ambage.

  3. So I guess Leo is going to be the leader? o-o

I'll make him a Toa of Fire (duh), but should it be a mask or strength or speed?

There's no leader, in fact the Zodiacs most likely won't even form into groups larger than a few of them. They are meant to be characters inspired by certain Zodiacs who are just sort of roaming Mata-Nui.

    Almost an experiment of sorts.

  4. So, discussion:

I'm personally betting on the submarine not indicating Mata Nui just advancing technologically. The teaser has to give us clues about next year, and more technology seems unlikely, what with the reasons for the reboot in the first place and all.

Plus Nuju has confirmed that next year will be more tribal, thus more technology is pretty much negated. Now the only real question is why is there a submarine. I still feel this means a new a culture will be arriving on the island.

Or the Matoran will be traveling to another island as well, where things are very tribal.

  5. What animation style are you using(This goes beyond just Anime or Western)?

This question hasn't been satisfactorily answered so I'll try and elaborate. In western animation you have the styles of Avatar, Archer, and Family Guy. All are very different, yet are all western. In Anime the styles can vary drastically, from Fairy Tail to Darker Than Black to Gundam 00. What style of animation are you guys using.

GH is saying it's going to be similar to MNOG animation, so is that the style you're using? With all the characters appearing relatively more static and robotic. Or are we going to go with the more BZPRPG organic route?

As for plot, I think you guys are jumping ahead. Don't decide the first plot arc on coolness or importance, pick something easy to adapt as a starting point. Heavy on dialogue, I would avoid complex fight scenes due the difficult of animating them for a first timer.

Obviously GH's characters will be the easiest for him, but after that what? Speaking as a Podcast Member, the best scenes I can think off of the top of my head are Joske stuff, Certain Mark Bearers(Sorry but Dorian isn't here, the fight scenes are far to complex.), Bad Company's early portion of the heist.
