  1. Good to see a new chapter! My favorite is the Axonn and Brutaka one, I could really see something like that happening between those two. Also, the creepypasta one had me in stitches, especially the zamor and the skull spider jokes.
  2. Fullmetal Bonkle: Brotherhood (of Makuta) Don't forget its movies: The Conqueror of Mangaia and The Sacred Star of Red.
  3. Elemental powers are alchemy confirmed, Toa Kaita are chimeras confirmed, the EP entity is Father confirmed.
  4. I think it'd be for the best to do it the way Gundam does by having a core universe telling a good, mature story (the original Mobile Suit Gundam for example) and side universes that can appeal to younger or niche audiences (like Gundam Build Fighters). Both can sell toys and aim at different audiences. Of course, Bionicle doesn't have anywhere near the level of cultural impact that Gundam has so it's more risky to set up a duality with a (mostly) non-established franchise but being in the age of reboots and alternate continuities, I think it wouldn't be as confusing as if it was attempted long ago. Of course, that's not to say that the core universe can't appeal to both. I think that 04 was a sweet spot between a slightly darker and more complex story yet still being relatively straightforward enough in its plot to not be confusing.
  5. I was playing with Lewa Mata the other day and asked myself what's up with his left hand. Then I remembered Tahu and Pohatu also had them. So what are they? A two-fingered hand? claw? I think they used them as fingers in Bionicle: The Game but it's been a while since I played it and can't remember.
  6. I strongly support the idea of anti-heroes, though not the idea of including humans. I also would like more obscure elements (not necessarily the secondary G1 elements) rather than the original ones.
  7. I understood that since Bionicle is Biological Chronicle, that means that said chronicle is the story of the inhabitants of the Matoran Universe and the quest to awaken the Great Spirit Robot, with the allegory of the inhabitants being cells in an organism. This is supported by the fact that the MU movies end on this note while TLR didn't. The allegory doesn't quite work for G2 since it was never made clear whether it was even a biological chronicle, thus I find the ending of JtO with Ekimu declaring it the legend of the Bionicle to be a bit clunky and just there for nostalgia. Of course, it could just be a happy coincidence that the MU movies ended on that note
  8. As far as I remember, Karzahni can't be revived because he died outside of the Matoran Universe.
  9. they live in the snowy, cold, upper reaches of one of the islands believe it or not, it DOES snow in hawaii in higher volcanic altitudes. I see. Thanks for telling me! So they're likely gonna be available there and in other places they'll be normal.
  10. I'm stoked if they're changing the formula (assuming that the 4 islands substitute gyms). The Alolan Pokemon I'm more lukewarm towards. Some make sense, like Exeggutor being a palm tree and I can see lots of potential for other grass and flying types but ice Vulpix/Ninetails and Sandslash/shrew make no sense to me. If I'm missing something, please enlighten me.
  11. I think it's more likely that it sends a message to Lego that there is a lack of interest but if they pinpoint the problem as something else *koffkoff marketing koffkoff* then it might get brought back.
  12. Definitely pull a JoJo and and distill elements of the previous parts with a more mature narrative. Mature not really meaning darker, moreso meaning with better established and more nuanced characterization.
  13. Imagine if they mentioned the cancellation in the video and still accidentally posted before schedule.
  14. I'm still most happy about that one promo animation for JtO with really good CGI for the Toa. Made me feel as if it were a Bionicle anime by ufotable.
  15. I want: >Galidor reboot >Slizers reboot with Hiker Mike as the MC >JoJo constraction figures with black spots to serve as censorship for the gore >any school life anime constraction figures (w/ detailed pantsu print plox) >Berserk constraction figures based on the 2016 anime >Good Guy with MoUP
  16. Doesn't matter, G2's world-building was nonexistent enough that it might as well have been a continuation if it weren't for altered "backstories" to the Toa and the setting.
  17. I think a big problem was that the media surrounding the reboot was lackluster after the initial hype with the golden masks. After that, there was only a single mobile game that didn't offer much in terms of interest in the story or the world. There were no comics in Lego Magazine to get kids interested, and then there was a miniseries exclusive to Netflix. There were designer videos but I don't think those are particularly appealing to kids who don't know about the line. A single licensed game, no matter how bad, would've drawn some attention. A single 4-episode miniseries aired on a channel like Cartoon Network would've drawn some attention. Of course, I have no knowledge of the business but this is just my two cents.
  18. If only there was a Steam for LEGO where they put sets on gigantic discounts. I know! [ ] But still, it saddens me to think that Lego of all companies might be involved in evil stuff. To my knowledge, none of those other companies have had ties with the illuminati. For all we know, Disney might even /be/ to illuminati, seeing how there isn't solid evidence of it in other companies. Actually, I hear TLG are the ones who founded the Illuminati. They received a message from Makuta who offered to help them in exchange for founding the Brotherhood of Makuta, known to commoners as the Illuminati. How else do you think LEGO got enough mana to be able to cast Unlimited Brick Works? Plastic ain't cheap or infinite... at least, not for them.
  19. My favorite last season was JoJo Part 4, followed closely by Re:Zero and Luluco. This season I only picked up 8 series and none of the ones that have premiered have wowed me, except for Food Wars S2 which started off as good as S1 but suffered a bit from a slightly rushed first episode. The less said of the new Berserk, the better.
  20. Not nearly as enjoyable as Lego Universe. Still, feel sorry for those who liked it and invested in it.
  21. I got Pohatu and Lewa yesterday. I really like Pohatu's spear/flail and Lewa's flipping swords. The builds were a lot of fun and I still love how the arms attach. I'm not too keen on Lewa's knees but they're not as bad as I thought.
  22. Bionicle came at a point in my childhood where I thought stories were supposed to be formulaic. Then I find out about this toyline with such an expansive story and rich lore. (this was in 2009) As I've grown, I see that it's not as well written as I originally thought but I still appreciate the amount of detail put in a storyline meant to promote toys. While I enjoy Ninjago and G2's story, G1's story, flawed though it may be, still holds a big impression over me and I still love combing through BS01 and finding out little details I never knew.
  23. A bit disappointed that pieces from the Star Wars ultrabuilds aren't here yet but I'm very happy about the gearbox.
