  1. I'm not sure how it'd work mechanically. The movepools wouldn't really be too broken, No Guard OHKO Machamp aside (which can be solved by having OHKO movies not affected by No Guard in Sun and Moon), it'd be a pretty big blow to most of the Pokemon to be without their abilities.
  2. I wonder if that means that they'll use the modern EV and IV systems for RBY or if they'll just be sort of reconstructed in Pokemon Bank with the modern systems. I might buy Yellow if they fix the game breaking glitches and the unbalanced mechanics.
  3. Yeah, breaking off with Gen 3 also allowed them to fix the highly broken EV system into something more manageable, and change shinies into something less exploitable.
  4. Yeah definitely a bad idea to dive into anything before gen 3 imo. If you must start in Kanto, play FRLG.
  5. I'd say the current generation. Pokemon X and Pokemon Y are great games for beginners but Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire are also a good jumping on point. The only differences between the games are the Pokemon you can catch in them and (in XY's case very tiny, in ORAS' case much larger but ultimately rather unimportant) story differences.
  6. All those new people coming into the show are what turned me off from watching it. That's why I stopped watching when William Hartnell left. I hope I haven't missed anything important.
  7. In my opinion Chibnall did great on Torchwood, not so much on Who. Gonna wait to see what he offers before judging, of course. I hope Moffat sticks around and writes the odd episode every now and then, I think he writes best when it's an individual episode such as The Girl in the Fireplace or Blink. I also still wish Davies would come back for some episodes, too.
  8. Haha, that was a great chapter! Especially loved this bit: Narrator: Gali quickly backed out of the room and gingerly shut the door. Then she cilantroly shut the door too, just to add some more flavor. Then she cinnamoned the door shut for that extra zing to its taste.
  9. I really like the art style! The first few pages looked great. Can't wait to see the actual product!
  10. There will never be such a thing as disappointing as Phantom Menace, unless Valve outsources Half-Life 3 to EA.
  11. I felt it was pretty meh. Some things I liked (cool monster idea), some things I didn't (found footage urk). I need to rewatch it before I can solidify my thoughts, though.
  12. Pretty funny video. They built Kopaka wrong (his chestplate is upside down).
  13. I was stuck between 4 and 10 but ultimately ruled for 4. I loved the way the Vahi mixed with the hourglass.
  14. New Black Butler anime movie and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable anime adaptation confirmed. I am very pleased!
  15. I'm not too worried about Harness, Kill the Moon is my least favorite episode of Who ever but some of my least favorite episodes are written by writers that write some of my favorite episodes (ex: Gatiss wrote episodes I don't much care for like Victory of the Daleks, Night Terrors and Robot of Sherwood but also wrote The Unquiet Dead, Cold War and The Crimson Horror, some of my favorites).
  16. I got addicted to Shuffle in May then just kinda forgot about it over the summer which broke my addiction. Mega Glalie was awful, and I still haven't beaten Mega Mewtwo Y.
  17. I've mostly been reading the manga of some anime I'd seen recently to compare the original vs. the anime adaptation. Grinded Black Butler from the beginning all the way to the end of the Green Witch arc. Jack the Ripper and Curry Competition were better in the manga, Noah's Ark I liked better as anime (the anime-only scenes I thought were great) and Phantomhive Manor Mystery was pretty much the same on both. Ship Voyage, Public School and Green Witch are not adapted yet so I experienced them for the first time and really enjoyed them, especially Ship Voyage. Akame ga Kill! and Akame ga Kill! Zero, which I enjoyed a lot better as manga. I like Zero a bit more since it feels more akin to what I thought Akame ga Kill would be like when I first picked it. Shimoneta, even though the manga's behind and the LN came first. I enjoyed the anime a lot more, the manga felt sorta like an abridging. Since I'm caught up with those, I'll probably read Gakkou Gurashi next.
  18. I'm loving the set. Love how it has both 11 and 12 and the monsters look really neat. The console is very accurate and the TARDIS exterior is beautiful.
  19. '06 jumps out at me; the most powerful toa on MU go fight six random skakdi and lose. They are then made useless for an entire year because "the meanies took their masks". They didn't even play mentor to the newly-minted Inika, becuase heaven forbid they have the slightest chance of being more relevant than our new heroes (in store buy now). To be fair, the Inika were in a hurry and already proved themselves good enough at fighting, so the Nuva did the smart thing and go back to Metru Nui to recover.
  20. I loved The Witch's Familiar. Capaldi and Bleach's performances were stunning, I never thought Davros would make me cry. On the other side, Gomez and Coleman were stunningly hilarious. I enjoyed the irony of Clara being inside a Dalek again.
