  1. It's a little hard to tell if this the real deal from the quality of the pic, as a bit of silver spray paint could get pretty much the same affect. But the fact that the owner is thinking of selling it kind of makes me assume that it is real, as selling a fake platinum Avohkii and getting away with it sounds like a challenge. So I guess congrats to Chase for owning this. I must say I'm pretty jealous, although I prefer the gold Hau myself.
  2. Not completely correct-- the prototype Avohkii (I have one) are not in fact 297 Warm Gold (the color used in Brutaka). 297 Warm Gold was not introduced until 2006 (with some appearances in late production runs of 2005 sets). The prototype Avohkii are in fact 189 Reddish Gold, a color used between 2003 and 2006. Knights' Kingdom fans will recognize this as the slightly more copperish gold color from several sets of that theme in 2004 and 2005. BIONICLE fans will be more likely to recognize it as the color of Nuhvok-Kal's Krana-Kal.In this picture I'd imagine it's either Photoshop or custom-molded parts. Generally you can't melt down LEGO pieces and expect to re-mold them in the same quality as official parts, but perhaps this type of plastic is more forgiving, at least visually, than ABS or polycarbonate. From what I recall the Pearl Gold/Warm Gold Avohkii was a prototype for the Stars Takanuva, and I have seen and heard of other Avohkiis in this color.
  3. That's fine. I'll grab those masks them. I'll PM you my details.
  4. I somewhat wish that INVINCIBILITY ROBOT was a proper set, even though it's incredibly corny. Has some nice parts in it.Anyway, over time I've had 3 bootleg sightings. I've seen 4 bootleg Rahaga, although they didn't have the Vader heads. I've also seen one of the Bohrok-Kal Kaitas as a bootleg, and I think it was one of the Star Soldier sets.I also once bought a bootleg Knights Kindom figure. The torso came unasembled and you had to put all the cogs and gears in yourself. It didn't work. :PMind you it came with some pretty cool Chrome Silver swords.
  5. I like it! I'm loving the random spikes of ice and his asymmetric armor. It really emphasizes him being old and weathered and of the ice. The staff is nice too.I will have to agree with Chro though, he could use a bit more of a hunch.
  6. When I first saw this topic, I thought you meant that it literally equaled "?", and that the Rahkshi logo formed the curvy line and the Bohrok logo was the dot on the bottom.:PI like the 3rd and 3rd last one, and I think a cross between the two would be cool, where the Rahkshi Kraata-logo is wrapping around the whole Bohrok logo. Of course you would have to move the Kraata around and stretch it out a bit.
  7. I remember what first got me into Bionicle: getting Jala at McDonalds. After that I kept going in to get the other Matoran. That was fun. Also getting my first proper Bionicle, Pohatu. I struggled building him though so my Dad would help me. I also remember getting the mask packs and being really excited to find a Trans-Neon Orange Kaukau. I thought it was so cool and showed it off to my friends.I also remember begging to get all the bigger sets like Nui-Jaga and the Exo-Toa, but my parents wouldn't get them for me.Those were the good times.
  8. The Toa Mata canisters were pretty cool, as they could be used as a Suva as well as Toa Canisters. The Bohrok canister were very cool too, in the way that you could display your Bohrok in themAs for least favourite, probably the Hordika/Visorak. I thought they were a little boring, and they didn't have any story significance. At least the Toa Metru lids could become the Matoran ball things.
  9. MoL: - More Rahkshi - Make the Rahkshi actually look like Rahkshi - Make the Matoran act more like they did in MNOG. They were too childish IMO. - Get rid of Takua's ugly Pakari. Gosh did that look bad. - Change Tahu's voice actor. And Lewa's. Tahu was way to gruff and deep, and Lewa was a bit too high and exaggerated.LoMN: - Maybe changed the Vahki designs. They looked a little to abstract from the originals. - I dunno, probably not much else. I actually though LoMN was pretty good, given it was a childrens movie.WoS: - I don't really know. WoS was alright too. TLR: - Fix the ending. Or make a better one. It really irked me how they kind of just left off, even though Mata Nui barely got anywhere nearer to completing his goal, besides from finding the prototype robot.Other than that, I'd probably get whoever made TLR to do the first three movies. They had much better visuals and portrayed characters a lot better IMO.
  10. Hey, I was just thinking to myself earlier, how are different types of Bohrok created? From my understanding, a select few Av-Matoran were destined to transform into Bohrok, but there are six different types of Bohrok (not including the Kal, given that they were created through protodermis transformations), and only one type of Matoran. So how were different types of Bohrok made? Was it completely dictated by the Krana that were put in the Bohrok? Was it just chosen at random? Or something else?We know that Av-Matoran would take on the forms of different Matoran types (Or at least the ones we saw in 2008), so I came up with the theory that the Bohrok type an Av-Matoran made was dictated by what type of Matoran they appeared as. For example, if Tanma became a Bohrok, he would become a Lehvak, and if Photok became one he would be a Pahrak. If there already is an explanation for this, I am unaware of this.So go ahead and discuss.
  11. Nope, I wish. I need to get a hold of some of those Bionicle books.TPBM Has some Slizers/Throwbots.
  12. The transformers are aligning into a combiner model? Kinda like how stars form a constellation I guess.
  13. 1. Australia.2. English (As in English English not American English).3. Thankfully, yes. I can't imagine what life would be like if I couldn't.4. Nope. And back in the days of Bionicle, you could generally only find the current wave in stores. 5. It used to be just a bit after the US, but now we are pretty much on par with them.6. I buy sets in shops, mainly because it doesn't cost shipping, and I don't have to wait for it. Unfortunately us Aussies don't have a Lego store so we have to order exclusives online.7. I would like to see a Lego store or something like it that sells exclusive sets, other than that not really. 9. Skipping a number in a list is a common method of irritating or teasing people in that they probably hadn't realized a number was skipped until they are told. Or just because you can.10. Well most of the internet is for wasting time, isn't it? And I remember you from the old forums more or less, but not specifically.
  14. Okay, that sounds good. I can finally sleep at night, knowing how Ta-Koro and Ta-Wahi were formed. :PInteresting topic though. I don't really know much about geology but this still makes sense. Thanks for clearing up some of those points.
  15. Yup, that makes sense. All though I do recall that the cable cart goes across an open lava river to Ko-Wahi. Is that an opening in the tube or just run-off from the main river? Or just artistic license from the game developers?
  16. Probably "The Bionicle Music" from the power pack, as well as MNOG (Lewa VS Onua). However I am a fan of cryoshell, and I did enjoy "Creeping in my Soul".
  17. I have all these notes and concepts for a story that takes place after the inhabitants of the MU and Bara Magna merge together, but I've never written anything about it.
  18. Why can't I hold all these bohroks?

  19. Carapar's chest armor. Really gappy and over-sized. It would have been a bit better if it didn't have a large hole on top, and while you can use them in other ways I often find they are too big and you need to just stuff things down it to make it look better.Other than that most pieces are pretty useful, though some of them only for people who are really creative.
  20. I think if BZPower was a country, I'd be like Takua, wondering around throughout all the different areas and not really having a paticular home.I think I'd probably hail from S&T though, even though I'm not there all the time. So I guess the ever-wise Bonesiii would be my Turuga?
  21. M'kay. And the Dark Gray Hau would be perfect for this.
  22. Pretty awesome. I especially love that robot arm at the end.
  23. Congrats GaliGee! I'm yet to read your stories, but I'm now intrigued!
