  1. I'd imagine the the Elda was not a very common mask, and Hahli was destined to end up with it so they could find the Mask of Life. But the headaches thing would be quite annoying.Anyway, I imagined that the Kaukau wouldn't be as good for toa other than ones of the water type.
  2. Lewa and Kopaka Mata. Got them both pretty cheap, and only because the Toa Mata were some of my favourite and most nostalgic sets.Straight from the stores though, I'm pretty sure it was the Stars Rahkshi.
  3. They're both pretty good, though sometimes the new hands look to big and bulky, and the Y-joints can be used in a multitude of poses. I find the preset fist of the new hand looks quite strange in certain poses, while the Y-joints look good doing anything (EG: Pointing at something).
  4. I think the 2004 sets set the standard for heights, although I don't imagine the matoran to have the same measurements as the metruans sets, as they were a little oddly shaped.
  5. It's mainly older and more nostalgic sets that I keep intact, otherwise they get harvested for parts.
  6. Gotta go Bohrok for me; their characteristics and involvement in the story was much more in-depth, and I loved the way that we slowly discover more about them and just how important they are. They are also generally really awesome, what with launching facehugger-brains and their ability to turn into balls.
  7. I see them as a mix between MNOG and the Moives (The Legend Reborn style). I see them being a bit more bulkier and solid, and there armor more like exo-skeletons and so you can't see any organic material, as well as keeping the same physical aspects from MNOG.I also like to think the charachters act like the way they do in MNOG as opposed to the movies: In MNOG they were like normal villagers, whilst in the movies they were more like children.
  8. What kanohi do you have? I'm after any 2001 kanohi not pictured here. I have a light grey Mahiki, a tan Huna and a light blue komau. I can also have a Brown Misprint Matatu if you are interested, and once again I would be interested in kanohi. I'd probably go 1 mask for another for the regular kanohi, and as for the misprint I'd most likely swap it for a couple of masks. I live in Australia if that makes any difference.
  9. Didn't he remember things because he was one of the matoran that was lost in the protodermis sea, and Teridax retrieved him?Or is that incorrect? If so, I do like the idea of it being Ahkmou. Whether it makes sense or not.
  10. I don't have any anymore, save for a few Glatorian/HF canisters.I'm keeping these around to do something like this or this, which are both great uses for them IMO.
  11. IC: OrnataIt was Ko-Koro. He was finally here. The icy city had it's own beauty, the beautiful pure whites and the cool, blue shades."I wonder where I should go from here... I heard there was a new school starting up...""Maybe i can get directions somewhere?"Ornata then proceeded to wonder around Ko-Koro, searching for people and interesting places.
  12. When I was just a little kid, I got the mctoran with my happy meals. I collected them all, got hooked into BIONICLE and ended up being a major fan of it.I then got roped into LEGO, then Star Wars.It goes to show that actually GOOD promotional toys are worth having.
  13. M'kay. Well, if this is so, hopefully he sticks around long enough for me to see some of his work.
  14. Not to be disrespectful, but who is Zarayna and why is everyone so excited to see them back?
  15. IC: OrnataAfter a short, nearly sleepless rest, Ornata gathered himself off of the icy rocks and prepared to make way to Ko-Koro. He found the icicles around him fascinating in a most magnificent way, and decided to sketch a few into his journal before he left.Soon after his ice-gazing, he headed out of the cave, into the deep snow. The air was noticably thinner now, granting hem better sight. He couldn't help but notice the perculiar set of tracks in the snow. They most likely belonged to a rahi, one with large paws.RAWR!Ornata jumped and turned around to see a wild Kane-Ra snarling at him. He panicked, and ran backwards into a rock, tripping over. He grabbed one of his bamboo disks, hastily aiming for the rahi's infected kanohi. The shot missed, and bounced off the teritorial beast's face, angering it further. It lunged forward, snapping the dish under its powerful foot, and extended its neck at the Onu-Matoran. Ornata ran to the side, narrowly dodging it.I can't outrun this beast! I surely meet my fate here!Just then, Ornata stumbled backwards, falling into an narrow passage between two large mounds of rock. The Kane-Ra squeezed its head into the crevice, only to become stuck.Ornata ran through the gap, out into the other side of the passage. He hoped that he did not have problems with rahi again. In the distance he could make out what seemed like Ko-Koro. He rushed towards the village, excited about finding somewhere he could stay the night,
  16. IC: OrnataOrnata had begun using his pickaxe to keep him standing as the snow began to fall thicker. He had tried using his lightstone to cut through the thick cold, but to little avail. He travelled in the derection he hoped was Ko-Koro. He didn't bother covering his tracks from rahi in these conditions, as the snow would surely take care of them.He came upon a small ice cave and decided to rest there.I hope I get there soon... he thought to himself.
  17. IC - OrnataA ussal scuttled out of the Onu-Koro to Ko-Wahi highway, a chilly Onu-Matoran sitting atop it. He jumped off the crab and told it to go back to Onu-Koro; he did not want to use such speedy transport again. It was convenient, but it left him feeling sick and cold, though the latter was most likely the environment.Ugh, it's so cold here... at least it's not too bright. After all my time in the caves I worry that I might be a little light sensitive! thought Ornata, searching for a cloak or something of it's kind in his bag. He regretted buying a heatstone, it would have been very valuable right now.He kept a bamboo disk at the ready as he trecked through the snowy drifts; he'd heard that some of the ice rahi were very vicous. Hopefully I run into someone who has some directions, I wouldn't want to get lost out here!
  18. I think some sprite comics are done well and some... not so well. If the comic artist puts enough work into it, it can really turn out well. Besides, I have a soft spot for all things pixel-y.Hand drawn comics are great too, but still do need enough effort to make them good. Just because it's handdrawn doesn't mean you can just make everything move like a basic sprite comic but say it's better, it still needs enough work to make it good.
  19. I too have been pondering this lately, isn't it something to do with protodermis?
  20. I think I'd love too see the other Toa Hagah, Pre-pit Karzahni, Helryx and Lariska. Not to mention any of the important Mata-Nui Matoran that were never made as sets.
  21. Nice shaping with the wings, the transition between the dark red fins and the dark red 2x2 tiles is great, and the stuff on the back looks cool.
  22. That's awesome! The colors are lovely, the ce blue gives a nice energy vibe going on underneath the armor, and the black adds some nice contrast. The face is great and that body looks nice. One thing that gets to me is the metallic silver technic panels on the torso. But I don't think they come in pearl light gray.
  23. So I've got a character now...Do I just start posting?
  24. Name: OrnataSpecies: Onu-MatoranAlignment: NeutralGender: MaleAppearance: A black matoran with a silver-gray Great Miru.Equipment: Carries a pair of bamboo disks, a pickaxe and a lightstone in a small bag.Powers: NoneWeaknesses: Dislikes fast movement, heights and can be do things to carefully at times, making him a little too slow. He isn't as strong as a generic Onu-Matoran either.Personality: Ornata tries to be polite at most times, and has a soft spot for things of beauty and art. He enjoys making things more eye-pleasing, and has a fascination with crystals and other pretty rocks and minerals. He isn’t as strong as most Onu-Matoran, but is fairly smart and good at calculations, as well as being a good shot with a bamboo disk.Biography: Ornata spent most of his time exploring the caves of Onu-Koro and Onu-Wahi, gathering objects he finds interesting and beautiful, as well as recording pretty sights in his journal. Over the course of his underground adventures he has run into many rahi, of which he has generally found a way to avoid. He has since moved out to explore the rest of Mata-Nui, deciding that the other areas of the island could hold as much beauty as the caves surrounding his village.
  25. Ah thanks.I'll probably make my character today, I've been looking forward to the BZPRPG stuff.EDIT: thebeggerpie, I generally consider the matoran before their rebuilding and after the great rescue tohunga.
