    The wiki uses Java, though, which makes Minecraft go INCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDIBLY slow while it's open. BZP does not make Minecraft lag uncontrolably. ;)Hmm, must just be my filter being lousy. I'll definitely need that EMC plugin, then, so I can make the Advanced Filters and use them, and so I can have enough Tainted crystals for use.EDIT: What's the best/easiest thing to mass-produce via transumation tablet to throw into a crucible for vis?

    Does it matter if the condensers are close to the Crucible or far from it, or can I put my condensers on the surface even though my crucible is underground?

    Full setup of zombie spawner + Crucible of Souls + Occultic Enchanter complete--but MATA NUI that thing generates a ton of Taint! I'm gonna need to build Totems of Dawn just to maintain the status quo!If I get that Thaumcraft-EMC plugin, I will ONLY be using it for silverwood (since non-respawning of silverwood is dumb, IMO), the given EMC values for everything else are WAY too cheap currently.

    Hey, quick question, do tainted crystals grow faster in high Aura zones or high Taint zones? Because I need to massfarm them to use with condensers so I have infinite renewable crystals.

    OK, so my mobavator now has a workable setup, the crucible is set up and I have some basic piping going along the access corridor, along with a thaumium-reinforced vis tank to store my vis/taint until I get my new lab set up. How big of a room should I build for this workshop?

    DDude is working on a Tekkit server; someone should go poke him about that. :PAll right. New semester of college starts the day after tomorrow for me, so I'll likely have a week or two of Karzhani before I can get back to Minecraft. In the meantime though, homework:The patch of water? That's the top of my mobavator, I have about 3 more pockets of water to add (I'll have to build it up a bit). That door in the distance, just barely visible near my cursor? That's the back door of my house, connecting directly into my Thaumcraft workspace. The issue: keeping in mind both horizontal AND vertical distance, what's the best way to get Vis from the Crucible of Souls back to my house? (I've decided that building a library down there would be lame, because it would just be lame and boring and lazy.) Do I really need to build a dozen arcane pumps, or is there a trick I can use to make things more efficient? Or should I just get over my irritation with mass mining, suck it up, and mine out an enchanting workspace for myself?Also, for some reason the Thaumcraft zombies have disappeared completely from my map, any idea why/where I can find more?

    >_< Wish I had heard that before I nearly finished building the room. Oh, well, I'll deal with it, and I'll just keep my explosives out of the area.Also, Thaumcraft piping is annoying. Thought I'd finally figured out a way to completely separate the Vis and Taint outputs of my Thaumium Crucible. Nope! Redstone signal turns the valves off. Arghrabeartihle! I'll have to replace a valve with a pipe, then mine the cricible once it's empty and come up with a better setup.On the plus side, I've now researched everything except for one Eldritch recipe, which means I'm (pretty much) FINALLY done with research! Also, I have a bunch of seed crystals for my vis crystal farm, but the crystals I've placed/found grow SOO SLOWLY. Do I need a place with higher Aura, or will I just have to sleep through several Minecraft weeks like I did when setting up my EMC farm?

    Ah, well, I guess it's back to trying to get Brain-In-A-Jars, then.On a semi-related note, I recently re-found a zombie spawner (vanilla zombies, unfortunately :/ ) and have decided to create a Thaumcraft grinder--this will use a normal Coe's Quest-style mobavator setup, but will end in a Crucible of Souls, which will be linked directly to a Thaumic Enchanter (later an occultic enchanter, once I've researched it). If ever I decide to do vanilla-style enchanting, I'll have a sticky piston with a half slab set up just above the crucible to block it off, allowing me to kill the beasties myself. EDIT: I should probably mention, Step 1 involved clearing a 19 x 19 x 12 area around the spawner, so I could be CERTAIN there would be no spaces in which spawner zombies could spawn; I'm glad I did, there were several dark caves below that could have spawned normal zombies, reducing my spawner's efficiency and/or straight up leeched my zombie spawns. Step 2 involves filling said area (minus a rougly 11 x 11 x 6 area directly around the spawner) with solid marble, so that if for some reason I start playing with TNT or nukes or something, the spawner has a decent shot at survival.

    Yeah, but Torturous theories are torturous. I usually try for Hard or better if I can, otherwise I have to spend diamond blocks to make the theory go through. I've completed the Tainted category, though, so maybe I should use some of my Writhing Taint Tendrils to boost research...Also, what to FORTH Boot Disks do? i have about six of them now, and for some reason they don't stack.

    No, I mean I just threw stacks of fragments of lost knowledge and stacks of bookshelves into the Quasetum and got a bunch of duplicate Theories as a result. What can I do with them?

    Ah.I've researched everything Lost except for two or three theories (most likely ones that rely on a Dark Infuser or something), so I'm getting fragments of other types of knowledge. Once I've built up a supply, I'll try some of them out.BTW, what can I do with duplicate Theories, or theories for things I've already researched?

    So, should I go put my first crucible at the base of the natural Silverwood tree I found, then? I've been studiously researching things, but I have yet to get Concentrated Evil--is it a Forbidden theory or something? And what's the best way to start my foray into Forbidden research (I want brains in jars SO bad)?

    Ohh...so I've been working on this aready without even realizing it! :-PI've recently had some unexpected success in Thaumcraft research by putting stacks of bookcases in the Quaesitum overnight while I was sleeping (you know, to boost EMC production rates). Now I'm thinking I need to build my Crucible room NOW rather than after I get my full EMC collection arrays set up. Is there a particular material that would help me keep the Taint confined until I can build a Dark Infuser?

    I've been sleeping everytime I have to go AFK, and running in to go back to sleep whenever I can. I have a LOT of EMC now. Just set up a pedestal with an alchemical chest and a black hole ring--this should get me enough reeds for book research now. ;-)

    I love Somnia. Ten minutes of constant sleep = a full Mk. III Energy Collector. I'll be upgrading my three Mk. IIs VERY soon, then I'll build a Volcanite Amulet, a Harvest Goddess Band, and a Black Hole Band, in that order.

    Aren't Recyclers basically just trash bins? Why not burn your excess items to charge up a Klein Star?EDIT: Also, what should I upgrade to Mk. III first, my Antimatter Relay or one of my Energy Collectors?EDIT 2: Never mind, went with the Relay since it's a slightly better deal. One of the ECs will be next. ;-)

    Stang. Oh, well. :-/ Maybe I'll build a small base out there for thaumaturgy, since the whole area has lots of indicators of high Aura. (I managed to fins some Greatwood Trees, thought they were the second type of Rubber trees before I realized my mistake.Yeah, I'm going to try to macerate it first, though, for double the EMC. :-D First thing I did upon converting my huge mass of bones to bone meal was to make some Dark Matter and convert my Antimatter Relay and one of my Energy Collectors to to Mk. II. Then I popped my Klein Star in the Antimatter Relay and went off in search of pumpkins (which led to my huge ore haul). My Klein Star is now full, and I have a bunch more EMC waiting in the relay.Also, has anyone else noticed the Technic Pack Wiki seems to be rather outdated? I've found it more helpful to search the individual mods' wikis for stuff. :-/

    @ DDude: No idea. I'm not EVEN going to mess with it. :PWent on my first major mining expedition today, with my alchemy bag, highest level divining rod, and destruction catalyst. Just went out hunting for pumpkins, since I'll need the jack-o-lanterns to keep my energy collectors running at night (until I have enough Red Matter to upgrade them).I ended up with an alchemy bag FULL of ores and loot, including 29 diamonds and almost that many blocks of Tungsten Ore. I am SO macerating that ore, I should have enough EMC now for another Klein Star (which is good, because my Klein Star Zwei is totally full, and I need to empty my antimatter relay before I can upgrade it). Think I'll go for a harvest ring now, so I can massfarm sugarcane and cacti for books and waterproofing, respectively, so I can FINALLY get to serious Thaumcraft research and FINALLY get to that geothermal generator I've been wanting to build since day 1.BTW, I've found two Silverwood trees so far...is there any way to reproduce them? I.E. a way to extract saplings from them? I want at least one near my house so that I don't have to worry so much about Taint, but I'd hate to have to tear them down and risk Tainting the forests I found them in...

    In case anyone wants to know: 8 stacks of Bone Meal = 3 Diamonds. I just built a Rotary Macerator to grind my bones at high speed, and I'm regularly taking the bone meal back to my Transmutation Tablet to be turned back into Bones (since 3 stacks of bonemeal = 1 stack of bones, which can be macerated into 5 stacks of bonemeal...etc. etc. etc. ). Once I have 64 stacks of bones, and macerate them into 320 stacks of bonemeal, I'm going to convert the lot into EMC and have 90 Diamonds and 15 stacks of Iron. THEN I should be ready to build some decent Energy Collectors and Antimatter Relays and the like. :-DEDIT: Does anyone know how to fix the problem where Technic keeps resetting the achievements? It's not a huge deal, but it is a little annoying.

    And as an added bonus, it makes it possible to build crystal farms that are in one spot (as opposed to having to mine through the whole map to find more crystals).Do note that you have to mine some crystals in order to get started, but it won't take TOO many. You can also raid dungeon chests and kill wisps to get them.Hey, remember what I said earlier about using huge mushrooms to get infinite EMC? Well, there's an even better way: Macerate bones, transmute bonemeal to new bones, repeat. You can make HUGE profits this way, just be sure not to macerate more than 12 bones at a time unless you have a means of auto-harvesting them. Speaking of which: how would one go about automatically storing items to chests? I can't seem to figure it out.
