    YES! THAUMCRAFT 3 RELEASED TODAY!!! ...ahem. Sorry. Just a little excited. :blush: I'll probably give it a week or two for all the major bugs to be ironed out before I give it a go. Also, seeing as I almost never use RedPower and EE is kind of no fun, I think I'll be giving FtB a try. Yes, Forestry may try to kill my rig, but it just looks so fun!

    Tekkit is actually roughly equal to vanilla Minecraft for me, it's Technic that lags badly. Is FTB worse than Technic, or is it between Technic and Tekkit?

    Has anyone tried the "Feed the Beast" modification pack? Coestar came back from his long, long absence and is playing it co-op with Avidya, and I was thinking about giving it a try (since Technic fries my framerate and Tekkit just moves too slow for me, plus neither of them are 1.4-compatible while I believe FTB is).

    Is Wobbuffet worth training in Emerald? If so, what Nature should I breed for? (Yes, I know Natures/EVs are pointless in-game, I'm practicing so that whenever I finally get a game for a current system I'll know what to expect when building a team.)

    Still, if the tunnels are long enough, won't that make it easier? Surely having (temporary) cover and a way to keep it (mostly) confined within the range of your arrows would be helpful in killing it, right?

    Honestly, my biggest problem is that Technic has too much stuff to do/build/use, it gets overwhelming. So, one tends to EMC up and endgame one or two of the elements, and then get bored and/or overwhelmed. Tekkit is interminably slow progression-wise, but at least I'm still making plans for the future.That and Thaumcraft is just a tiny bit invasive compared to the rest of the Technic modifications, even though it still is my favorite part of Technic.Actually, speaking of Tekkit: I've got a turtle, but mining with it is still pretty labor-intensive even with Divining Rod support; I need better ways to deal with extra blocks. To that end, I plan on making a Tunnel Bore from Railcraft, hooking it up to a bunch of Chest Carts and an Anchor Cart, and then setting it loose for a few hours while I go build a house or a castle or something; when it runs out of juice, I'll dump the contents into my Energy Condenser and finally get some worthwhile EMC progress. Is this a good way to go, or am I going to be forced to use Buildcraft and IndustrialCraft for things besides basic machines and armors?(Actually, on that subject, is there anything actually fun I can do with those two modifications? The only real endgame content I ever hear about is Nano/Quantum Armor and nuclear reactors, and frankly the latter sounds pointless since there's no real endgame machines to build. This is a problem I had in Technic as well, which is why I ended up focusing on EE and Thaumcraft at the expense of BC/IC progression. At least this time I'm exploring Railcraft some more...)

    Ugh, May's Starmie. If I recall correctly, I just went and caught a Meowth, then spammed Pay Day in wild battles until I could afford enough potions to PP-stall the monster....you know, I find myself PP-stalling Gym Leaders more often than I care to admit, despite training my team for the next Gym before I'm even finished with the one I'm at. I should really figure out where I'm going wrong and remedy that. :embarased:

    My personal theory is that Jebs plans to add a "boss" version of every mob, and that the team doesn't want people to accidentally place heads down on the "build structure" for said mob before said mob is implemented. I mean, imagine how things might have gone if Wither skulls were in-game and people had accidentally built Withers, and then next update their decorative statues suddenly exploded into a murderous monster...

    BLAST IT! I TOLD Tekkit not to update! World is ruined. EDIT: Managed to restore from impromptu backup, but inventory was lost, so I splurged in NEI a little.

    I just figured it out. Game Freak is trying to start rumors about Gen III remakes. Hopefully this time it'll be true.

    Superflat survival is actually rather viable, given the new superflat options (i.e. trees, ores, etc.). Might give it a shot sometime.I recently got back to my Tekkit world...man, everything is slow. I haven't even gotten a basic flower set up, despite working on it for several hours straight. It looks like I'll have to set up some automatic tree farms and delve into IC/BuildCraft to autocraft slabs so I can exploit the slabs-stone EMC thing.

    Well, with everyone talking about B2/W2, I've been enticed into playing Emerald again. At the moment, I've got a Quiet Cacnea (which, naturally, I'll evolve into Cacturne), which I plan to max HP and Special Attack EVs and add the last EVs to Attack (I'm running Pin Missile/Needle Arm/Faint Attack/Spikes, remember since this is Gen III, Special Attack is more important, whereas if I were doing this with a more modern game I'd be maxing Attack). Slowly but surely I'm building up those Sp. Attack EVs on Route 113, and once I'm done there I'll start slaughtering Whismur in the cave on Route 106.This Cacturne will stay with me through to the Final Four and the Frontier; here's my planned team (forgive any level-related inaccuracies, I'm too lazy to look it up right now):Blaziken Lvl. ~60 @ (Can't remember the nature, but he's got a neutral one and I can't breed for a new one until after F4), random EVs (again, can't breed, so can't EV-train)-Peck-Sky Uppercut-Slash-Blaze KickCacturne Lvl. ~60 @ Quiet Nature, 252 HP/252 Sp. Atk/8 Attack-Pin Missile-Needle Arm-Faint Attack-SpikesLombre Lvl. ~60 @ Nature-Mega Drain-Leech Seed-???-???Glalie Lvl. ~60 @ Nature-???-???-???-???My last two members are big unknowns; Starmie's been recommended, but I'm tempted to go with Sharpedo because I have a huge weakness for Dark-types. (Not as in "my team is weak to Dark-types", I mean I really, really like Dark-types. ) I'll be using my other two starters while I train everything else, here's their planned movesets. Also, try logging on directly through the minecraft website (not the wiki or the forums), there should be a password reset option there.

    Err--for various reasons having to do with past BZP server history, I think TNT should be disabled on the server. Is there a plugin that "fixes" TNT the way Creepers are "fixed" to damage entities but not blocks?
