  1. We just want you to be loved on your birthday. *hugs* You're my new favourite person.
  2. This was a couple of years ago. A store I frequented was closing down, so I went over to get my hands on some goodies. When I was scouring the shelves for something nice, I found two-That's right, two-Power Packs. Bought both of them, opened one and kept the other one in mint.
  3. The main theme from Mask of Light and Legends of Metru Nui, I think, managed to capture that epic feel that goes with Bionicle.
  4. IC: Onu-Koro. Xodar's village. It was strange coming back here as a Toa. He had spent much time in Le-Koro, attempting to get accustomed to his new powers. Now that he had come here, he found it both unfamiliar and relieving. He was unsure if people would recognise the Toa of Earth as the strange Matoran who liked to play music instead of dig. He doubted it. He wandered through the village, gazing on all the sights and hearing the sounds of the Koro. OOC: Toa Xodar open for interaction.
  5. Now you're thinking with pixely portals (Toa Stark is a much better pun, though )
  6. Garan. He proved himself to be a capable leader during Voya Nui. Actually, most of the Voya Nui resistance deserve to become Toa for their courage alone. Except for Velika, for obvious reasons.
  7. As a Transformers fan, I approve of the names. 13-day-late edit: True facts, but please try to comment on the MOCs themselves! -Wind-
  8. Yesterday, I was at my local supermarket, and I found a couple of boxes labeled "Super Robot Lord", which had pictures of Bionicle characters on it. My interest peaked and I bought them because they were cheap and I was overtaken by nostalgia. I opened the boxes to find a knock-off of Ignika Jaller and Trinuma (No, really). They certainly lived up to my expectations as the worst pieces of plastic I had ever picked up. They had been gang-molded in horrible colours that somehow managed to be both neon and pastel. Some of the parts still had slag on them from the molds which were pretty sharp. The Jaller knock-off was blue and yellow, and had the sword fused to its hand and the mask was made of this really weak plastic that looked like it would break if it tapped it. The Trinuma was infinitely worse. It was cast in its regular colours, which they still somehow managed to mess up. His mask had been molded into a single piece, and his legs didn't fit together properly. I would post pictures, but I ended up smashing them with a hammer.
  9. McToran Kongu, with my very first happy meal, conveniently enough.
  10. Chapter 2-Unforeseen The Toa sat in a ring within the great tower, with Toa Sparkledust in the middle. All eyes were on the pink Toa. The Toa’s expressions were varied, ranging from apprehensive to friendly to, in the case of Takanuva, smitten. A few Glatorian were sat among the Toa as well, looking as confused as the Toa were. “So…” Toa Kopaka stood up and approached the Toa. “You say you’re Turaga Nuju’s daughter.” “Yep!” Toa Sparkledust chimed. “From the future.” Kopaka continued, fixing an icy gaze on her. “That’s right!” “Can you tell us about yourself?” Toa Sparkledust’s eyes welled up, as if she were about to cry. “My past is incredibly tragic! My mother was killed in an attack when I was just a baby! My father is all I have left, but he was always busy with his duties as a Turaga and never had much time for me! I grew up never knowing the love of a mother!” At this point, Takanuva stood up and pulled her into his arms. “You’ve got to be kidding.” Kopaka rolled his eyes. “Do you know who your mother was?” “Yes.” Sparkledust sniffed. “She was…” An awkward silence followed. No-one spoke for several seconds until Sparkledust finally blurted out “KIINA!” Kiina looked absolutely shocked. “Does this mean I…and Nuju…YUCK!” she protested. Nuju, on the other hand, didn’t seem to be protesting. “Ahem, let’s get back on track.” Kopaka said, shushing Kiina, who looked more grumpy than usual now. “How did you become a Toa, and what is your element?” Sparkledust looked confused. “Become a Toa? I was born a Toa. Since I was conceived from a Glatorian…” Kiina glowered down at her. “…and a Turaga, I was blessed with the powers of all the elements!” There was silence in the chamber. “HOW DOES THAT WORK?” Nuparu shouted with frustration apparent in his voice. “I don’t know! I just accept it!” Sparkledust said. “Anyway, I was given the Mask of Time when I completed my training as a Toa.” “Along with the Mask of Life?” Vakama spoke up, stepping forward. “Nope. I got given this for being such an exceptional Toa.” Sparkledust said. “I was given it to change the past because I come from a war-torn future!” All the Toa, Glatorian and Turaga in the room stared apprehensively. “How can that be?” Ackar stood up. “We live in a time of peace. Our greatest enemies have been vanquished.” “Not all of them.” Sparkledust said warningly. “Makuta Teridax still lives!” “Okay, you’re lying.” Tahu finally stood up. “Teridax died in the reformation! We all saw it happen! He lies under Aqua Magna!” “That doesn’t mean he’s dead!” Sparkledust protested. “In my future, he’s come back and taken over Spherus Magna! He killed my mother and almost killed me.” Kiina looked almost beside herself with rage by now. “I wish I was dead.” She muttered. “Speaking of her parentage, I have not been completely honest with you, my brothers.” Nuju stepped forward, gazing back at the hundred pairs of eyes. “I am not the Nuju you believe I am. I am…ACKAR!” “WHAT?!” Ackar stood up and pointed at the frail Turaga. “No, you’re not! I’ve never been you in my life!” “I’m a future you.” Nuju explained. “I came back to prepare the past for my daughter’s arrival.” “I have the power of fire.” Ackar said bluntly. “The journey through time changed me drastically.” Nuju hung his head. “I became a Ko-Matoran on Metru Nui.” “So…Ackar and I…” Kiina blushed heavily. Though it wasn’t apparent on his face, Ackar had done the same. “That makes your statement about how you acquired your powers irrelevant, seeing as you were apparently conceived by two Glatorian.” Kopaka gazed at her intently. “No it doesn’t.” The Toa grinned cheerfully, gazing right into Kopaka’s eyes. For a moment, every Toa, Turaga and Glatorian in the chamber clutched at their heads. They felt a momentary spot of pressure inside their heads for a second. “What am I saying? You’re absolutely right.” Kopaka said as the pressure faded. “Well, then, Toa…I’m not sure how to say your name, welcome to our time.” The others offered their own greetings. Toa Sparkledust smiled and stood up, talking with several Toa. --- They all filed out of the chamber until only a handful of Toa and Glatorian remained. Kiina, Ackar, Nuparu, Onua, Tarix, Kongu, Raanu and Vakama convened once they were sure everyone had left. “Something about our new friend is suspicious.” Onua broke the silence. “You’re telling me!” Kiina said, her anger apparent. “How do two Glatorian create a Toa?” “I do not know.” Vakama kept his level head. “Yet I suspect we shall find out. We must keep an eye on her.” “I’ll do that.” Nuparu volunteered. His Mask of Stealth suited the task well. “She won’t even know I’m there.” “Let’s hope so.” Ackar nodded. “Apparently, she’s my daughter. Is that even a thing?” “It is not possible.” Vakama said. “That is what concerns me. Be vigilant, gathered friends. We must know more of this Toa before we can fully trust her.” “Agreed.” Raanu nodded and left the chamber, the Toa and Glatorian following suit. Vakama walked over to a small shelf, where the dormant Mask of Life lay. He gazed up at the mask, seeing his own distorted reflection in the polished surface. “Great Spirit…” he said, almost wistfully. “Help us. Please. Guide us in this strange hour.” “Turaga!” came an out-of-breath voice from behind him. Vakama turned to see Kopeke, the Chronicler, leaning in the arch, apparently exhausted. “Chronicler.” Vakama put on a friendly smile and slowly walked over to the Ko-Matoran. “Why the rush?” “Raanu told me to come and find you.” Kopeke panted. “It’s the new Toa. She and Takanuva are kissing.” Vakama almost dropped his badge of office, he was so surprised. “Take me to them.” He said, gathering himself together. “Yes, Turaga.” The Chronicler showed him out of the chamber and down the stairs, into the Valley. It was difficult to miss the two Toa embracing and kissing. “Mata Nui.” Vakama’s eyes widened. “They certainly seem friendly for a couple of Toa who just met, don’t they?” Raanu appeared beside the Turaga. Vakama could only nod as he witnessed the two Toa kissing passionately. He wondered what had brought on this sudden action in the Toa of Light. It didn’t seem like the Takanuva he knew. Eventually, after what seemed like minutes, they stopped kissing. Sparkledust opened her eyes. For less than a split second, they flashed from her usual bright golden yellow to a bright angry red. This was only for a microscopic amount of time, and they returned to their regular colour.

OOC: Name: Bridge CatharFaction: AssemblyClass: EngineerSkills: He is competent in a support role, constructing turrets to push Stromlings back and tending to his teammates.Biography: Bridge was recruited into the Nexus Force in the Spring of 2012, choosing to specialise as an engineer. His climb up the ranks has been slow at best, due to a lack of confidence in his own abilities. He was stuck in Rank 1 for a very long time. A rather fortunate incident involving a monkey, a pair of Stromlings and a cake having been set on fire gave him the necessary confidence boost, and he shot up the ranks, having only recently attained Rank 3 at the age of 19. He's a very...strange individual, as if he sees the world through a different lens. He tends to prioritise things differently to others. IC: Bridge's new gear felt pretty good on him. It felt nice to see the world through the eyes of a Rank 3 Engineer. It was a rank that he earned, and he was proud of himself for that, if nothing else. All he had to do now was sit and wait until an adventuring opportunity presented itself. The Nimbus Station was actually pretty peaceful. Members of the Nexus Force went about their daily business, or else took in the scenery of the station. Here, it seemed nothing could go wrong. He didn't want to repeat the incident that made him rise in rank. That poor cake had been ruined.
  12. Name: Solensus Species: Po-Matoran Description: Solensus is on the taller side for a Matoran. He is a dark, mud brown colour, with a lighter, sandy brown for accents in places like his hands, feet and mask. He almost always carries around a set of carving tools, should inspiration take him at a moment's notice. Gender: Male Kanohi: Powerless Kanohi Huna Powers: Nothing to see here. He's a basic Po-Matoran. He does have considerable skill as a carver, though. He prides himself on his ability to take a lump of rock and make it into a work of art. Weaknesses: As a Matoran, he doesn't have any special powers to defend himself with. Combine that with a lack of combat experience, and you have yourself a fairly easy target. Alignment: Lawful Neutral History: Solensus wasn't always the way he was. His beginnings were as a humble apprentice carver. He was eager to learn and to impress the Matoran who taught him. When he finally completed his first masterpiece, he was applauded for his efforts. Some say his issues began here, as afterwards he kept on carving and asking people to praise them. When he got criticism instead of praise, he smashed the carvings. He later realised the error of his ways and how bad it was making him look, so he stopped doing that. Personality and Traits: Solensus has a problem of hubris. He has quite an inflated ego, and it shows. He often walks with a swagger, and a constant arrogant smirk on his face. His attitude has won him few friends. He is, at times, capable of acts of kindness and selflessness, but for the most part, he only does things he knows will benefit him in both the short and long term. Though many dispute his attitude, few can dispute his actual skill with carving. He is a genuinely good carver, able to make respectable pieces of art "in his sleep", according to him. It almost makes his attitude bearable. Name: Xodar Species: Toa of Earth Description: Xodar is a bit on the bulky side for an average Toa. His body, which is coloured mostly black, holds pieces of golden-yellow armour in place. His mask is the same yellow colour. His eyes are a deep green. Gender: Male Kanohi: Great Kanohi Kakama Powers: As a Toa of Earth, Xodar has power over the element of... ...ice. No, not really. He has power over the element of Earth, which he can use to his advantage. He is blessed with incredible physical strength and the ability to see in the dark. Handy for when one needs to traverse the deep tunnels of their Wahi. Toa Tool: Ground Spikes-a tool very similar to the Crystal Spikes. It is held the same way and has many of the same functions. It can be used as a shield as well. Weaknesses: He cannot see very well in brightly lit places. His elemental weakness is ice. Alignment: Lawful Good History: As a Matoran, Xodar stood out as something of an oddity among his peers. He did not enjoy the life of digging and tunneling that other Onu-Matoran enjoyed. Instead, he found himself attracted to the life of a musician. He spent much time among Le-Matoran, learning how to play all the different instruments from them. Destiny, it seemed, had different plans for the Matoran. Whilst travelling through a vast tunnel, Xodar discovered his way blocked, due to a cave-in. He was able to shift most of the debris blocking his path, and accidentally unearthed a Toa Stone, which changed him into a Toa of Earth. Personality and Traits: Xodar is usually a very calm and easygoing individual, rarely showing aggression , a very impressive feat for a Toa. Strangely for a former Onu-Matoran, his passion is music. He is able and willing to fight in order to defend that which he should protect-namely, the Matoran. He has fair combat skills, though he prefers armed over unarmed. His mastery over his elemental power is decent as well.
  13. I found one in the trash by my local toy store. Needless to say, it has found a new home.
  14. MNOLG, Heroes, and Web of Shadows.
  15. I agree. It makes a great palantir.
  16. It would be rude to not say Matoran/Toa/Turaga. While I do like them a lot, my favourite species has to be the Kraata. They are, quite possibly, the epitome of evil parasitic creatures. They're created from the essence of a Makuta, they can infect masks and control Rahkshi! And that's cool!
  17. [primary color]= Yellow [secondary color] = Gray [mask] = Kakama [mask color] = Yellow [eye color] = Blue [body type] = Inika [cape, bat wings, or feather wings] None, thanks [weapon] = Nuju's crystal spikes Might I add, sirs, that you are awesome.
