  1. I think the second Chima season looks even better then the first. With tons of new weapons, vehicles, and characters, it looks like it will be the best season yet! If anyone in interested, you can find all the chima episodes, up to episode 25 on YT. But the are all in Korean, so you will need subtitles to really be able to understand them.
  2. I'd say I'm a huge chima fan, I have 2 sets(don't have enough money for more at the moment), I want to make a Chima Shadowwind costume, and have almost hit the level cap in the Chima MMO Oh, and my big summer project is going to do making a real life speedor, just PM if you need anything
  3. Blender is your best bet, and your kit would be really useful. Also you have to buy Maya, and it is really only for animation stuff. I have a copy of it, and I almost never use it.
  4. Good job man, that looks awesome! And the pakari for a chest plate was a great idea
  5. Ok, there is another guy having the same issue. I'll see if that fixes it for him too, and then we have the source of the bug.
  6. Yes, but I found the problem. Unity did not make my proper graphics card kick in as it's supposed to, it was still running on the integrated one. After I switched it over the textures appeared correctly. The intro screen still seems to repeat at times, though, and sometimes when I spawn on the beach I get a water texture flowing before my eyes until I restart. So it was your issue then? Not the games fault, is that correct? Ok, I'll have to see what me and BF can come up with.
  7. Happy birthday p.s: It's mine tomorrow
  8. No problem. It was quick to download and I got plenty of harddrive space. Sadly the black color persists on Matoran, but a few other minor issues - such as being able to look everywhere when talking to people - seems to have disappeared. Another issue, though: I spontaneously died when I tried to talk to Ahkmou in Po-Koro. I have no idea what happened. But yeah, apart from some bugs and stuff at this early stage, I believe the game will turn out very well in the end. I'm kinda BF's assistant , Are you on Windows 8.1? I keep meaning to help BF with the mouse pointer stuff, thanks for reminding me

  10. Yeah I think I will wait on the reddit guy but I think he saw my initial offer of £300 as a low ball XD Try going for something like £1000, that bigger number sounds more enticing
  11. How much did you pay for yours, if you don't mind me asking?
  12. has he already made an agreement with you? Not quite, but we're working on it. - ahh, nevermind, looks like £10000 is going to be my goal after all >.< That's a lot of money , $18,572CAD for those of you in canada
  13. ok
  14. I'm not in there? Or was I one of the ones that was dropped?
  15. That still sounds kinda high, if I was buying one, I wouldn't go for more than $1500 EDIT: I don't really have any experience buying masks, so don't take my answer as really experienced
  16. What time is this in (UTC-8:00)?
  17. How much would shipping to Canada cost?
  18. If I was doing this, I would either use Unity(unity3d.com) which does 3d and 2d games. Or I would use the LWJGL library for Java. Blender can be a good tool for making games, but it can also be somewhat simple and frustrating, Blender is written in the Python programing language, which is really easy to learn if you look in the right places. Also flash is becoming really outdated, most people use Unity or CryEngine nowadays, so I wouldn't recommend using flash. GameMaker can be a good tool to use, but I found it to be quite simple, and it's feature set to be a bit limited, unless you buy the full version. Personally I prefer Unity over Gamemaker if I'm creating a game. Python, or Java would be your best bet if you wanted to program a game from scratch, I haven't learned Ruby yet, so no comment there. Also on a side note, Unity will allow you to develop for almost any platform, without having to rewrite your code. You just select which OS to compile your game/app for, and Unity will do the rest. I don't know if this is what you want to program up a game. Katuko's suggestions ring more true to me as better. If you want to know webcode to put your game in a browser, www.w3schools.com is your friend. But I've done HTML, CSS, and JS, and none of them seem ideal to program up a game. I've also never used Java for game design either - and I would advise against it personally, as Java is cantankerous to work with. If you really need to learn hard Java, C++, C#, etc, you need to take a programming class, and most aren't geared toward game design. Go with what Kat says - he's a game developer himself, and knows what he's doing. W3schools is a great source for web based development, but I think you would be better off making a standalone desktop app. Java can be easy to learn, if you start looking in the right places. I am already an expert at gamemaker studio. Should I try blender or unity? will that be suficent to make a LOMN Clone? I would recommend using Unity, as it will give you the biggest feature set, and will support almost any programs you use to make your assets. Unity will be more the sufficient to make an LOMN clone. I would recommend using Blender to make your 3d models, and Gimp to make any textures, also the Mono Develop program that is installed with Unity to do scripting. -ldd2000 p.s: I'm working on a tutorial set for game creation using Unity, Blender, and Gimp, if you would be interested in buying it when i'm done, shoot me a pm
