  1. Maybe they're finally organic with actual biological functions. xD -NotS I think it's a metaphor. However, at this stage, anything is valid speculation.
  2. You know what, Hope is great, you guys. I'm glad you're looking forward to the new chapter.
  3. Oh my soul, I didn't even have a proper look at those. They look so dull
  4. Franchises do this all the time. There must be 500 different versions of Spider-Man. All the stories are pretty much different, but the characters retain their names and general personalities. True, but they attribute it to parallel universes and don't completely discard the old universes like LEGO did herein. On the other hand, when DC Comics did their "New 52" thing, it was a reboot of the main DC universe and even DC's alternate universes, like Earth-2. It's not unprecedented. But, as many have said, you can always interpret this story as an AU. BIONICLE's main story always left that as a possibility. I figured I'd just do that. Took me a while to properly clear my head. I'm not in my happy place

  6. I do believe you're right on all accounts.
  7. I am the closed-minded percentage > This. So much this.
  8. Actually, my brother was just expressing his disapproval of the hero factory type build a little while ago. At least they have gears right? I also picked up on the gears on their backs, but given that they have sockets joints, I don't see a purpose for it. Maybe I'm wrong. I haven't assembled a set yet I wonder what LEGO would have needed to do for you not to think of them as "uninspired", whatever you actually mean with that. -Gata New franchise; newt characters; new setting; new villain, new building system... think of how unnecessary the Total Recall & Robocop reboots were. These were still somewhat good (I'm not helping my case right now), but they were unnecessary given that the originals were so much better.
  9. After reading the descriptions and looking at how these 'Masters' look like Hero-Factory guys on steroids and have ridiculously uninspired designs, I am ready to say that I am disgusted at the reboot. I haven't been this sad and frustrated in a long time.
  10. LEGO! What have you done to with my childhood?!?!
  11. I think the best way to go about the new story is to make it take place in a parallel universe. I doubt LEGO would do a Disney and declare that the original story never actually happened.
  12. Okoto makes me think Ninjago has gotten to their heads. Either way, an "island" suggests a reboot, which is increasingly nerfing my enthusiams.
  13. It probably just adapted around/beneath the Golden armour and remained dormant under the Golden Armour.
  14. I thought it was an cool moment. They did suffer many years in Rahaga form after all.
  15. I think you're all overcomplicating the subject. This decision IS a sort of go-ahead afterthought, and thus there's not much we can do when it comes to the actual set appearance. It's a misrepresented Noble Hau on a Turaga. Unless the Toa Lhikan set Kanohi was the misrepresented one. Darn it
  16. Teridax and the Makuta have been the villains for a good while, as most of you have said. Thus, seeing a few rogue Makuta could be a possibility but it wouldn't be bad it they returned in some manner, as reprogrammed beings that are set out to do their original tasks before they rebelled. A totally new villain is deserving of an appearance though, to keep things interesting. As Sharnak said, the Barraki or TSO would be a crazy good choice for future antagonists.
  17. Purely symbolic. Like a horse on a Ferrari logo
  18. @ xccj: Right on all accounts. Because I'm a newby in PS I used mostly promo photos for my project. Thanks for the feedback. @ AdaptingChaos: I generally prefer PS yeah Hopefully now that LEGO has had a number of very successful games that are polished and fun, they'll be able to come up with a Bionicle game that is good by AAA standards.
  19. That is some very solid line work! Good stuff man!
  20. Hi guys I recently did a project for school where we had to make the GUI for a game of our choice. I decided to make stills for a fake Bionicle game that took place around the time the Bohrok Swarms began cleansing Mata-Nui. Felt right sharing them with you.
