  1. Hey guys, sorry for not being active here. I've been a bit busy with hotel stuff and whatnot. Anyways, here's a (not so great, unfortunately) picture of Tahu, as well as my other BIONICLE sets. Though the picture doesn't do it much justice, there are signs of obvious burns on Tahu's blade. In fact, when I saw it in person (my phone was dead, so I couldn't take pictures), the left blade was completely melted off. In addition, lots of the armor was melted into place, such as the new CCBS/Bionicle shell piece and the chest plate. Tahu was notably right in the vicinity of the fire, so it's understandable that he suffered the most damage. I unfortunately cannot take any more pictures, because my room is currently off-limits due to an investigation of the fire. Of note is that Lewa's axe blade was also slightly melted, though I have a replacement for that, fortunately. All the others notably suffer from soot accumulation (like Lewa's lower arm green size 4 armor shell), but other than that there is nothing visibly wrong with them. As for the smoke itself harming us, my mother was in my room and spend around 5 minutes in there putting out the fire. She managed to successfully, and after a hospital trip, we both ended up okay. Nobody was hurt, thankfully. I'll try to get more pictures when/if possible. -Moku PS: The reason I mentioned Tahu in the first place was because I found it sorta ironic. Notably because he's the master of fire, yet he was damaged the most during the fire. A bit of a coincidence that I found funny. I do appreciate the concern though guys, and I'll try to keep you guys updated. PPS: I did get a replacement Tahu, thankfully, as the first one was too damaged to recover, what with the melted parts and such.
  2. Oh my, this is quite a find! I really wish I could buy at least one of these. Sadly I've more pressing issues than BIONICLE parts (as much as I love BIONICLE).
  3. Hey guys, I've unfortunately had a house fire on Monday due to an electric blanket that burned a large part of my room, including clothing, carpet, and ironically my Tahu, Master of Fire set. Thankfully it did not cause much more damage than that, and I'm VERY fortunate that this wasn't any worse than damage to my room. However, I am also somewhat concerned about smoke damage, specifically on my BIONICLE parts. Obviously there is soot present on most of them (most notably Kopaka), which I can probably clean, but I've heard that plastic has a tendency to become brittle or weak after exposure to heat. I did recover a MOC that I made a few days before the fire, and other than an evident smokey-odor, I've not noticed any delicacies. I'm just wondering, have any of you ever experienced something like this? And if so, have your BIONICLE or LEGO sets become brittle or anything of the such as a result? I really don't feel like losing a great collection of BIONICLE sets I've accumulated because of smoke damage from a house fire... EDIT: I've recently taken my custom MOC I recovered, and the odor has faded away quite significantly. It's still there, but it's quite faint compared to a few days ago. So I'm assuming that, as long as my BIONICLE sets didn't suffer smoke damage (meaning the plastic didn't expand due to the heat and absorb soot), I'll be able to keep my sets, which is good.
  4. Ah, I get it now. See, I knew there was some reason it lacked half a body, hahah. Anyways, really nice job on the character itself!
  5. I actually disagree; I believe that the whole mangled look to it works in its favor. Plus, I could still tell that it was a Rahkshi (well, mostly the head, but I could see other elements that pointed it out as well). However, I'd have to ask why doesn't he have a left arm and leg? Probably story-related, but still, the absence is a bit mind-boggling to someone who's not played the Corpus Rahkshi RPG.
  6. Often times when I MOC I either have a vivid idea of what I want to make in my head or I just spontaneously build whatever comes to mind. Mostly the latter, though quite recently I've built towards the former.
  7. Bear in mind that he's only credit with one episode ("Camping"). He may be a first time director for an animated feature... but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I wish him good luck on the project! Ah. See, I'm not too familiar with the show, so I guess I was a bit misinformed. Meh, whatever, hopefully it'll be good regardless.
  8. Well, this puts my fears of a drastically weaker LEGO Movie 2 to rest. I've watched a bit of Parks and Recreation before, and I found it quite hilarious. Hopefully that humor translates well for The LEGO Movie 2. Plus, Lord and Miller are still writing it, and they've always done great work with their movies and shows, so I believe I can safely assume that The LEGO Movie 2 won't disappoint.
  9. OOC: My deepest apologies for falling so behind- I hope I'm not horribly late IC: Banar Banar jumped at the opportunity, saying, "Oh yeah... the cave. I forgot about that. Well, I'm all rested up; let's get to it!" He grabbed his spear, ready to go.
  10. They're actually supposed to be silver, according to the creator. LDD just has a funny way of rendering it, making it look silver. Silver size 5 shells do exist, so building it in real life is not hard.
  11. Well, I never did care for the ninja turtles, but seeing Megabloks getting another brand sucks, seeing how abysmally they've treated the Spongebob license...
  12. I actually did post about this in the set sightings thread. I only saw Onua on clearance though (at my local Target in MN). In fact, I don't think I saw Gali at all... Man, I've no idea what's going on here. Hopefully their absences aren't permanent.
  13. If you remember, brown and black were the two least popular in being sold. Maybe Target is remembering the Stars? Yeah, you've got a point there. Still, though, so soon?
  14. Well, that didn't take long... I was at Target today, and what did I see? Onua, Master of Earth, on clearance for $13.98!!! WHAT? I was shocked. I didn't pick one up, unfortunately, because I already have Onua. But still, Target putting Onua on clearance? He was the only 2015 one on clearance, though. Everyone else was the same price. EDIT: Interestingly, Target's official website still has Onua at $19.99. Not quite sure what the people at my local Target were thinking...
  15. I think my favorite part of skull warrior is that he's got two kinds of weapons: the bow, and the spear/staff/polearm. makes him great for army-building, since you can have skull archers and skull warriors, o even just one guy who is proficient in two weapons! O: I didn't notice the spear/polearm until you pointed it out! Very interesting choice for two weapons! Guess Skull Warrior does fit after all, hahah
  16. Well, at least we know the prices for them all, though I'm sure everyone guessed them. Anyways, onto the sets. Skull Warrior: A bit of a misleading title, considering he looks to be more of an archer, but I guess "Skull Archer" doesn't really fit here. Anyways, he really does capture an archer vibe well, and it's great to see a transparent light blue shooter! EDIT: Rahkshi Lalonde pointed out the spear/polearm that I missed! Guess Skull Warrior does fit here, hahah Skull Slicer: To be honest, I knew a lot of people would criticize him for having the regular Skull Spider mask, but to be honest, it seems like that was the best move for LEGO money-wise. Besides, it doesn't look half-bad, and the 4 arms concept with all of them being gear-controllable is very interesting! Skull Basher: Quite the bulky set we've got here (for Skeletal standards). Great to see some more purple in Gen2! Seeing as purple was severely lacking in Gen1... The lack of gears in favor of a button (? Not sure if that's really confirmed) will hopefully set this guy apart from all the others. Skull Scorpio: Well, this is the least favorite of everyone it seems. Lack of leg-poseability is unfortunate, but I still intend on getting this guy (as well as everyone else). Besides, I previously thought LoSS wouldn't be too great for similar reasons, but I really do enjoy his function. Here's hoping that Skull Scorpio's function is just as fun if not better (not gonna say "funner", because that doesn't sound right...). Mask Maker & Skull Grinder: YES!! Finally, the Mask of Creation in set form! And Ekimu too! His presence is odd, seeing as he was said to be in an "endless sleep", but I'm sure that'll be established in the story. And I'm SO glad they chose to incorporate a shooter into the hammer (as odd as that is), and I'm even gladder that they chose to make that transparent light blue shooter piece, especially in this set. Of course, I'm not gonna forget the (brutal death metal name-esque, in my opinion ) Skull Grinder, who looks to be the most substantial of the Skull villains and will probably be a formidable foe for Ekimu as he seeks to reclaim his mask. Overall, I'm lovin' this wave, even if it is only 5 sets (D:).
  17. IC: Nekka As Nekka began to both wake up and get up, she initially jumped a bit, seeing as she was somewhere that was unfamiliar. Unbeknownst to her, she had gone to Ashala's and slept. She was way too tired to have noticed that, however. As she went towards the lower level, she saw that Ashala was already up. "Hello, sorry if I was asleep for too long."
  18. Yeah, I really do look forward to the Wall-E especially as it was made by someone who worked on the movie itself (which explains the dead-on accuracies). And I also am not terribly excited for the Doctor Who set, but then again I'm not really a fan of the show, so I'd have no idea what it's about.
  19. IC: Banar Banar was sitting on his bed, simply fidgeting around with some stones he had found when he heard a knocking on his door. He got up and opened the door to see Johk. "Oh, hey Johk, how are you?"
  20. Well, I've got a new MOC made for Savok. Very derivative of the original LDD MOC, but with adjustments (due to a lack of parts) as well as a change in Kanohi to Solek's mask, which is now going to be my headcanon great mask of sensory aptitude.

  21. Congratulations on getting onto the front page AGAIN! I really love how ambitious your projects are; keep it up!
  22. IC: Banar Banar woke up the next morning to see Gerox and Johk offering him part of the reward from turning in the rogue Skakdi. He simply thanked them as he claimed his reward of 500 widgets. As they left, Banar sat back down on his bed. Though Banar had won his first battle, it wasn't a landslide victory, as Banar was quite injured. He simply needed to rest, as unfortunate as it was. As cocky as he could be, he knew that he couldn't do much in terms of practicing his powers with his current physical condition. Banar curled on his bed (which was still too small for him) and began to fall asleep.
  23. IC: Banar As Banar walked towards his hut, his eyes began to gaze at the sky, then to the ground as he reflected on today's events. When he walked inside, he told Johk and Gerox, "I'm going to go to sleep for now; I've had one karz of a day." Banar then curled in his bed, which was meant for a matoran and was much too big for a toa, and began to fall asleep.
  24. IC: Nekka "Okay, thank yo-..." was all that Nekka could say as she walked towards the bed before she collapsed on it, falling asleep instantly.
