  1. That could be a strong possibility. It has been over 15 years.
  2. My answer would likely be the same as it was in the first Bionicle set topic as that was basically how I started. My best guess would be that my start was first with a set not of Bionicle though I don't actually remember what set it was, either Robo-riders or Slizors as I don't remember back then. I just know it was a white bike like technic build that could fire these disks type wheels with monsters printed on them. I think I got several of the sets but don't know what I've done with them. They had this cool effect on the canisters where if you threw them in the freezer a code would be revealed. Anyway I liked them and when Bionicle came out it seemed like the next logical step. With the releases of K'nex type sets and with Lego having Technic I jumped on the ban wagon. I don't remember if Onua Mata was my first official set or if it was the McToran Huki. Either way it started there. With my brother following in my footsteps as little brothers often do, we stated collecting the Toa and separating the sets evenly. Onua being my first Toa and official set and him being black I collected the Earth pieces as he was my Favorite Toa. For my brother I think it was Tahu, though he collected both Kopaka and Pohatu as well. Leaving me with Lewa and Gali respectively. Anyway we both had the McToran Huki and over time we collected other characters including several of the Turaga. From the collection that I seen we have The Turaga of Earth Water and Stone. For me my collection extended to the Nui Rama set and the Earth Bohrok, where my brother got the Exo-Toa. We've collected a few random masks over the years but soon after than the drive of Bionicle faded. True I still had my Toa and played with them, but as for collecting I only managed a few more sets of my own and my bother basically stopped all together. We both played the MNOG and I could have sworn I owned a copy of it on a disk for offline play but somebody on here told me that wasn't possible. So who knows. Anyway Bionicle kind of fell off my radar as I only barely followed it after they stopped releasing movies. and was not much of a fan of the later sets in favor of other franchises that sparked my interests. I only recently got back into Bionicle as a whole and I'm not even sure what caused me to. Maybe hearing that it was coming back or maybe I just wanted to join an RP since my old Transformers one had closed. so I started searching online and managed to find this place. I have nearly all the winter wave missing only Kopaka that I hope to pick up tomorrow/later today. Anything else you'd like to know? Feel free to ask...
  3. I am sorry but somebody has to now. "Dance for us". With them long legs you should be able to bust out some funky moves. Like Renn said in the old Footloose movie. "Everyone can dance" It is just about expression... So Express... Also I really like this MOC and the shapes work really well together from the Silver Rode to the shoulder pads. The transition of CCBS has a nice flow and doesn't appear over complicated. Also that pose... what could he possibly be thinking leaning against your wall like that? Could he be playing it cool like something was not his fault? Maybe a hot female Toa is walking by and he is putting off a "I could care less" vibe as seen I old 80's movies.
  4. == Le-Wahi - Le-Koro Village - Central Square == == Interacting with the attacked party == OOC: Po-Matoran Doseki IC: While Doseki completely agreed with his fellow Po-Matoran up until the point he tried to question the Ko-Toa's credentials. It was best not to agitate the Toa who would trap you in permafrost for now and until the Great Spirit Mata Nui's return. "I will have to agree with my Cohort here. If at the very least you allow someone of proper training to maintain a perimeter around your place so that this Toa does not escape and plague anyone else. I have traveled here from Ta-Wahi and I have to tell you this jungle is no place for an injured party. Even a Toa would be picked off easily by the wild Rahi down there." Doseki emphasized his last point by looking over the edge. Yeah that was a long way down. His mind also flashed to his own Rahi Scorpio; who was still missing and down there somewhere fending for himself.
  5. Maybe but I could not say since I don't know the story behind them. Villains are villains for a reason and redemption is not in their cards. It would be like somebody following a certain creed and then just abandoning it and everything they stand for. It would be like me saying I am American born and raised and then all of a sudden because of something somebody said I change my view and say I am actually Japanese... I believe the term is turncoat. For good or bad. Greg is basically saying it is not for somebody to go against their nature. A villain is such for whatever reason because at its core it is in their nature. The Skakdi are aggressive by nature so when then meet with a passive civilization they are seen as villains. Redemption for a Villain is a falsehood derived from their personal needs and true redemption does not exist because even if they try the evil or villainous thoughts will remain unless some form of Bionicle lobotomy takes place. A Skakdi no matter how hard they will try and how good they may seem can and will revert back to a more aggressive(Villain) response eventually. Think of it like Snakes as pets. Yes that 40 foot Python may seem gentle and you may never have a problem with it. However just as likely the other guy with a 45 foot Python ends up becoming an appetizer. It is in the snake's nature to make a meal of animals smaller and even some larger than it. This is true of any Predator species. That Lion or Tiger may choke down the veggie salad you are force feeding it but big kitty there wants meat and sooner or later it is going to get it. Even if that meat is you...
  6. Is this suppose to be a simulator game like you'd like to make an actual Bionicle game based off the Monster Hunter franchise? Or is it more of an RPG idea for the forum for members to play?
  7. Ok so I am workin on my profile to post and I thought I would skim through the Lore post to see what it held for backstory data. Well I started clicking on the links that correspond to the creatures and I have to ask... What the Slagging Pit is going on here. What planet is this game on because these look way alien... Anyway are pets allowed? Prowl wants him a mutt or something to travel along with him. Is that a thing in Elder Scrolls? I mean I know there was a Murloc looking thing in the Special Edition of the Online version. But otherwise?
  8. You could also try photobucket.com. I have an account over there and some of my pictures are saved there. Have to be careful about what file extension you use though as some are not allowed on here for some off reason.
  9. Yeah I recognized the design when I first seen it. I think I even suggested it in the "Describe the avatar topic". I loved spore myself and had made many a Kirby over there. was quite cool. Also make some humanoid Dinosaurs and other assorted sea life. My favorite being either my Slithhzerikai or Hammerhead sharks. Sadly I lost the code for my account so cannot re-download it to my new computer. So have not been able to play it... The closest thing I've seen that looks similar to it is a thing from some weird NSFW game that my classmate was googling in class once and I went "man that reminds me of fisher's profile pic". Also, my profile pic is a picture of Tyler St. Francis drawn in paint. never gets old My avatar is a SPLENDID NAKED OFFICER which I can relate to on many levels -Tyler Ok that is weird but I have to ask... would that make him the teacher from Kill La Kill? Because that was what I first thought of after reading that.
  10. well once you are "over the Hill" it all goes "Down Hill" from there. So maybe they are wanting to wrap things up or perhaps we are at the turning point where either Ninjago will keep going or simply end.
  11. Probably because there must have been a green ninja to go along with the other elemental masters. Though directly calling them ninja would be false since only the ninja are actually ninja. He may have simply been an old green elemental master of old. Related to Lloyd is a strong possibility with the relation of the other masters to their descendants as described by Garmadon. Though with them being brothers I suppose either Wu or Garmadon's offspring could have been the green ninja. Wait.. Wait... Wait... All this talk about Lloyd Garmadon and Wu being connected to Morro we are forgetting one very important thing. In order to have offspring you need two parents; a male and female. Each parent has their own lineage that leads back to the beginning of Ninjago. We seem to be forgetting Lloyd's mother. Maybe his elemental power comes from her lineage and not Garmadon's. So maybe Morro is somebody from her past instead. Remember Lloyd's Mother was trained in Spinjutsu as well as seen in the stone army arch...
  12. Oh so maybe they are going the way of Tai lung in King Fu Panda. Disgruntle former student comes back to seek revenge for his teacher putting false hopes in his head about becoming something he never could. So instead he takes it upon himself to usurp the mantel of the Green Ninja. It's possible. Note that Morro's outfit looks like a tattered, green version of the 2011 Ninja costumes. That would tie in with him having been a student of Sensei Wu. Well it look as though all the pieces may be coming together. So what other secrets are these two Spinjitsu Masters hiding from their students? Could Wu have actually known Kai's Parents? What of the real Master of Ice of Old. Was Zane's Father really an elemental master? Then there is Jay. Where in his lineage does the lightning Power derive itself? Wu has some explaining to do me thinks. Wu knowing Kai's parents is no mystery. We've known that Wu and Kai's father were close friends since the theme first started—that's the reason why the map to the locations of the golden weapons was hidden in the sign to Kai's family's blacksmith shop. We have? Who's "We" because Prowl seems to have missed that little tidbit. Though it has been years since I've seen the first few episodes of Ninjago and the movie itself where Wu meets up with Kai and trains him to be a ninja. Come to think of it I don't think I ever have seen it and am only remembering based on the time travel episode. I cannot recall any scene where the Ninja meet up with their dragons who were guarding their elemental weapons. None of it is coming to mind....
  13. So you like different just not too different. So where is the balance? Color, general shape? You like Morrow because it is different than the western or British bestial dragons of the Ninja but not Wu's because it is a more oriental dragon... Well I guess based on my prior post I may be your opposite as Wu's distinction of being different breed of Dragon is actually why I like it.
  14. == Le-Wahi - Le-Koro Village - Central Square == == Interacting with the attacked party == OOC: Po-Matoran Doseki IC: "Fair enough." Doseki said replying to his fellow Po-Matoran. He then turned his attention to the Toa of Ice who was currently the only one who knew where the offending Toa was currently held up. "So, do you mind escorting us and some of the Gukko force to your place so that we can apprehend the suspect so that he may receive proper medical care and answer for his action once he has become able." Doseki was going to have to retrieve his things from Talu's Hut as he remembered leaving his pack next to the hammock that was going to be his bed.
  15. Weird I've never been redirected. I do see ad banners at the top of the page though. Could that be because I don't use the main page to get here? For example I see a Maytag one right now. Sometimes I see stuff that has to do with my search history. Like if an Ebay one pops up in shows stuff I may have searched for such as Chima sets. So if I may try clearing out your browser history and cookies. Just incase you picked up a bad one on some random site. Running a malware scan or alike wouldn't hurt...
  16. Well exactly... I think... So who is really in need of redemption as asked by the opening poster? First we have to establish was is defined as being a villain. Basically somebody who opposes our way and does something to harm that. Back then the art of sacrificing wasn't villainous however in today's society it would most definitely be. What with the "Do not commit murder" Commandment passed down from Moses to the death penalty we can used today as it is a capital crime. But someone who accidently kills are they villains? What about somebody who never kills at all but steals and takes from others? Are the cigarette companies villains? What about Mr South America and his illegal drug runs? Why is he the bad guy but Mr Marlboro isn't? Once you figure out who the villain really is you have to ask if they can be really redeemed. Is there actual redemption? I mean some don't even think they are doing wrong so see no reason for so called redemption. Others do and just don't care. These type of villains again I believe is what Greg was referring. Perhaps if you were redeemable then you were never really a villain in the true sense to begin with...
  17. I wouldn't think so since the Term Makuta was changed from that of a name to that of a species prior I would think to him making that rule. Basically anything prior to him making that rule for himself was fair game to be Retconned, however became locked once the rule came out. If that made any sense at all.
  18. I don't know what that is, but I don't see why not. Is it a username for some site? Keep the password and any personal information out of it though.
  19. I am for doing something to that extent. Though I have to ask if you really know what you may be asking of the community? Are you wanting us to just continue a fanon story or are you asking for the option for the fans to decide what officially becomes Gen1 canon? Because if it is the prior then that could get a lot of hate mail type of responses from people who want Gen1 to remain in the hands of Greg and Lego as a whole. Me personally I'd love for somebody to continue Gen1 but I don't see where that would be any different than anyone doing their fan media anyway. Most stuff is either their headcanon concept of what happened, or continuations of what became of them after... Unless your a pre-historiest who likes to lead up to the Gen1 story instead.
  20. I would not be surprised to see something like that at some point. But remember, there are only 13 sets so far, with five more due in summer. That's barely enough to fill one of DK's fancy hardbound volumes. If we get a character encyclopedia, it might not be for several years—keep in mind that even Ninjago didn't get one until its second year, and as a high-profile System theme it introduced far more characters per year than Bionicle could. It would be nice if they did though. Give some more insight to the Protectors other than with the Lego Mag inserts we've seen. Also more data on the Skull Spiders and their leader in general. If there is something for them since they are basically swarm villains even more so than the Rahi and Bohrok of Gen1.
  21. ooc: Good note, I'll remember that for next time. == Le-Wahi - Le-Koro Village - Central Square == == Interacting with the attacked party == OOC: Po-Matoran Doseki IC: Doseki offered his free hand once more to introduce himself. "I am sorry I guess you had not heard me the first time. No worries what with the commotion that was going on. I am Doseki of the Po-Koro guard. It is good to see a fellow Po-Matoran in these parts. It has been quite some time since I have been home. How is our home land been?" Doseki didn't really know if Beosach had been to Po-Koro or even Po-Wahi in general. Still it does not hurt to ask. "I seen how well you handled yourself, have you had military combat training?"
  22. ooc: wow I feel stiffed. I think my last post was ignored by everyone but Tea-Rex. Sorry about that man, Doseki is a guard and loud commotions are bound to attract his attention. == Le-Wahi - Le-Koro Village - Central Square == == Interacting with the attacked party == OOC: Po-Matoran Doseki IC: Doseki remained quiet listening to the other Po-Matoran until fireballs started coming from a lift. He had to use his Kolhii stick to block and deflect some of them. Looking over the edge of the platform to see the water below and what looked to be a Po-Toa making a slow escape. He turned back to the small group and was about to ask again what was going on when a Toa of Ice started ranting about the same character being wrongfully assaulted by the other Po-Matoran. "So there is a misguided Toa of Fire masquerading as a Toa of Stone?" Doseki did not like this very much at all. "As a guard of Po-Koro I recommend this threat be quickly secured regardless of where he is. Both for his safety as well as the public at large. I did not see the initial interaction so I don't know who started it," Doseki used his Kolhii stick to tap out a small fire that was trying to grow at his feet. "But I did see the aftermath of his escape and the amount of destruction for such a peaceful village is unwarranted.". ____________________________________________ == Le-Koro Village - Near the Gukko Force Rookery == == Frozen in a Crystal Trap == OOC: Nui-Jaga Scorpio IC: Scorpio was still trapped there with his butt and tail flailing in the air though some of the Ice managed to melt giving him a bit more freedom from his severally restricted predicament. His breathing had become labored as he was not designed to remain in such a position for an extended period of time and if the rest of the ice did not melt soon his health was going to go south quickly.
  23. I suppose I wouldn't either if only for the fact it would give the LoSS more screen time...
  24. So I got a second character for the RP along with the new armor I asked about several pages back. This one will be piloted by myself and Liuth's new character. Character Profile Name: Glitch Species: Onu-Matoran Gender: Male Powers/Gear: Glitch is an Onu-Matoran and as such possesses the Earth element's exceptional night vision as well as a higher strength constitution allowing him to move some of his equipment easier than other Matoran classes. Due to his night vision Glitch's eyes are extremely sensitive to light and so he wears specialized lenses embedded in his mask that flip down during times of heavy light be it from the home star or artificial illumination. Strapped over his shoulder is a disk launcher and around his waist is a tool belt that holsters an assorted collection of tools of the trade as it were. Glitch used these tools to repair his Armor as well as other's gear. Glitch's EDD is located on this belt as well. Appearance: Glitch is a rebuilt Matoran that wears a Gold and black Great Konohi Kakama and dresses in Purple armor with Purple hands and Black feet. He carries a disk launcher over his shoulder and a tool belt around his waist for the tinkering he does around the shop. Personality: Glitch is a mechanic, though most would not call him a good one. That doesn't make him a bad one either. He just loves tinkering with whatever he was suppose to fix and tries to make it better. Glitch has been known to talk in reverse making it hard to understand him at times and this can frustrate both him an whomever he is talking to. Bio: Armor: Sentinel Armor Profile Armor Name: Sentinel Category: Heavy Armor Appearance: (image links to larger file) The Sentinel is a Heavy Armor worthy of the name. Build with thick armor incasing both the large treads and Turret platform. The Sentinel is dressed in Brown colors and has a rotating turret platform that can rotate horizontally 360 degrees in either direction quite effectively allowing it to counter assaults from any direction with relative ease. On the front of the Armor is a row of crushing spikes used for bashing targets. The front of the Armor is designed to disperse enemy fire reducing frontal damage to near null. However the rear of the Sentinel does not have this feature nor do the sides. Relying on sheer armor thickness for survival. This thick armor covers most of the treads with the front axle wheel bearing being the only section not covered and exposed to possible damage. The Turret platform is where the crew is stationed and is left open from the rear for unknown reasons. The platform has a trap door of sorts up front where the gunner and loader are located allowing access to the main turret and elemental cannons. Above them is where the Main pilot and Navigator are stationed leaving them partially exposed to rear fire. The windows are comprised of a blast proof alloy and incased in mesh to further protect the glass from shattering and injuring the crew. There is a modest antenna array located on top of the platform allowing for long distance radio transmissions. Crew: 4 Pilot/Owner: Glitch Co-Pilot/Navigator: Kavapi Gunner: open Loader: open Loadout: The main battery is an electro magnetic coil gun with two Elemental cannons fixed to the side of the barrel. In front of the armor between the treads is a row of jagged spikes that angle forward and down and are used to mow down both enemy Matoran in their smaller Armors as well as structural barriers. Basically anything unfortunate to get hit is fair game. Kanohi: Kakama "Burst of Speed"
  25. Ok... I think I will have to agree with the first 2 posters as the trans red shell pieces you used was the first thing my eyes caught and not really in a good way. Though removing them may make Tahu look like he needs a Nui-Burger bad. Maybe if they were placed a bit lower or higher to even out the shape? It looks as though you were trying to mix Tahu Okoto in there with the added gold pieces yet there was no actual gold on Tahu Mata. Other than his mask that is. Tahu Mata's colors were Red and Orange. The build otherwise looks really good and I am loving the holster on his back. Very nice addition there in case he needs both of his hands free. I don't think the Mata sets had actual places to store their weapons but I think I remember Lewa and even Tahu in the animations storing them on their backs. So this is a nice homage to that aspect. Love the use of the Original Hau instead of the Gen2 version.
