  1. I'm on mobile and can't really quote stuff, but... @T1 Shadow, saying that he was intelligent and could be intelligent again doesn't rule out how unintelligent he became and stayed for most of the story we witnessed. It's like saying professor X in the X-men films didn't count as a paraplegic because he wasn't one at first, and because he hypothetically could have gotten the use of his legs back. Also, in retrospect? I suppose he wasn't as dumb as Krekka was. At least Carapar didn't forget about his own capabilities.
  2. Gravity Hurts, Creeping in My Soul, and Crashed. Move Along was cool too. I haven't really listened to anything from the MNOG because I didn't play it. Same goes for all the games, actually. Any recommended tracks from those?
  3. I found and bought a Pahrak set in 2010, at some low-key toy store whose name I've forgotten.
  4. Granted. When you open the box, you discover that the set has been mispackaged. It's actually a Lego Friends set. >:^) Now, I wish for the sets of every Toa released during the Mahri Nui run of Bionicle.
  5. Ignoring the fact that he could've become smarter again, doesn't that make Carapar (as he was just as he died) more or less one of the most unintelligent characters in the MU? I don't think anyone really proved themselves to be as dumb as he became - after his thousand years of being stared at by Takadox, I mean. He didn't seem all that smart compared to most of the other Barraki when they were fighting the Mahri.
  6. I'd like to introduce you to R2-D2 from Star Wars, a robot known for his distinct personality. Don't forget Threepio! :^)
  7. I don't know, I get the vibe of "Witch-king" off that one. Though I doubt the Nazgul were ever portrayed that way :^P
  8. It was Greg's personal feelings that the fans sort of rolled with. According to the main story, it was sort of a matter that never got resolved due to the way things went. But if you never read Bionicle Adventures, you missed out on half the reason to follow Bionicle. But that's my heavily biased opinion - that's where I started. Yeah, I really loved that series - and like Fisher, I don't really feel that Vakama's visions being the result of a glitch detract from any of his character development. I mean, does the cause of his visions affect how he developed into a leader? Do they make how he changed from a hesitant mask-maker to someone who could face down Makuta Teridax and The Shadowed One at once without wetting his pants totally null? His growth as a character is independent of the cause of his precognitive powers. And yes, Greg said he "personally" would prefer that it was a glitch. In my opinion, that isn't really Greg saying the visions weren't something Mata Nui granted Vakama.
  9. I don't think this ruins it, really. Could you elaborate on that?
  10. About the colour scheme though, how many people are there who dislike it? I'm one of them. Maybe it's because I've never been able to work with the scheme (or find decent examples of it when I decide to google plasma-element people).
  11. Matoran's hearts do /what/ now?

      They glow.

      and stop glowing.

      and don't start glowing again.

And, apparently, circulate lubricant. I did not know that till yesterday.

  12. Hi there! I'm new. Newer than new. Shiny. What was I saying?

You said high chair or something.

  13. Huh, I didn't think of it that way. That's a pretty reasonable way of putting it. About the stone-people-not-going-BOOM-WITH-THE-EARTHQUAKES, maybe it's harder for them to manipulate stone that's that far down. Also, maybe it's because stone is a more precise power than earth? Maybe I read too much into the Greg answer, but he seemed to imply that Earth Toa kind of were more attuned to vibrations, while Stone Toa have more to do with pinpoint control? Maybe Toa of Stone can't really vibrate rock as easily as Toa of Earth make soil move - owing to consistency and the way their powers are designed. ... Am I making sense here?
  14. Um. Do MU inhabitants have blood? Not really. It was confirmed by Greg that the heart-lights pump some sort of lubricant, but that isn't really blood. ... right, thanks. That's just weird. Thanks to this thread, I have visions of zombie-Inika covered in slimy lubricant, chowing down on Voya Nui matoran. Anyone got brain bleach?
  15. I really want to commend you on this whole dictionary - I actually made my account on BZPower partially because I wanted to thank you for making this resource. I am blown away by the whole thing. It helped me name a Toa of mine, and the words you've come up with really sound authentic. :^) I unfortunately have to point out one small error - many sources (BS01 being one of them) say that the meaning of Visorak "poisonous scourge" is attributable to their own language and not Matoran. Wouldn't the etymology listed here therefore be rendered moot?
  16. In the original series, beings with control over the elemental power of earth - like Toa of Earth - could generate seismic shocks or earthquakes. I didn't think much of this until recently, when I stumbled upon a discussion topic on why there is a difference between what Toa of Earth and Stone control. I'm new here, so I'm not too sure on how to quote things, but an excerpt from one of Greg's Q&As was brought up, and it said that Toa of Earth essentially manipulate soil, as opposed to rock, which is what Toa of Stone control. And that's odd. Earthquakes in our world (as far as I recall, and assuming quick googling is accurate) only really form when the Earth's crust moves. And the crust is essentially stone. I know the Mata Nui robot's ecology and geography clearly don't match up to Earth's, but I highly doubt that their version of the crust is made of soil - that would be horrible as a foundation for entire islands. Anyone have input on this?
