Given the upcoming announcement... what bonkles should I draw? Not sure if I'm adventurous enough to try the new ones, or if I should just whip up some nostalgic goodness.

We don't take kindly to you Canadanadinadians around here... Well okay. :b Hello once more!

DBZ? I see summer Waldo, Princess Mononoke, and I don't even know.
-
Just a note: you wrote 'Nuhrii' next to 'Toa Iruini'... I assume you probably meant Norik.

I've got one for you - PMing.

Well well well. Happy birthday to me, indeed.

I just completed a purchase, so all I have left of those is the golden Hau, which would be $3. (I've updated the list above - added a few, removed a few). International shipping is approx $5.

Seems a bit steep, especially as the masks I inquired about came with mass produced sets and sell for much cheaper on Bricklink. Thanks anyways. The value is in getting them all at once, without minimum buys or multiple shipping costs. If you find one place on Bricklink with every mask you're looking for at a cheaper total cost, I'll match its price and not charge handling/shipping (if you're in the US).

I would very gladly buy the Chrome Hau from you, if you're selling.

Is there something wrong with birckshelf and majhost?
Kayru replied to man774's topic in Completely Off Topic
I hear Brickshelf has this problem frequently but I don't use Brickshelf. I use Majhost, and haven't noticed any decent amount of downtime til now. Flickr's UI bugs the everloving out of me, and Imgur even more so... To put it shortly, I like Majhost for its simplicity. They store your images, in folders and subfolders, with a few tags, and that's it. -
Congrats! Being in EMT is amazing, I have a few close friends who have taken that route. Glad to hear you're doing something you have a deep-seated passion for. ^^

'A day or two' ..this downtime is killing me. I was gonna just be a bit late in posting stuff about BF VA, but now I'm going to be really late (if I end up posting at all D: )... -
This makes a lot of sense, oddly. It does... and that's exactly what I'm working on for BCon...

I always get that with radio announcers. They sound so awesome, and then you see them and they don't look cool at all. XD

They're probably worried given the whole upcoming-family thing. As long as it's a stable job, though, don't take their concern too hard (I'm in a similar place right now, and I know better than to listen to my parents' recommendations to live at home til I'm old and rich, haha).

How much for a single set of Turaga? I'm also interested in which, if any, have instructions.
-
$2 apiece for masks in the original Toa colors, $3 apiece for the rest.

It's funny that all 3 of us seem to disagree. I'd interpret it as Cassius stating that it wasn't fate that made them lesser than Caesar, but their self-image. He says in the very line before that we sometimes control our fate... so he's saying that it isn't their fate (which like the stars are unreachable and uncontrollable in their eyes), but the thought within themselves (exact quote: "in ourselves") that they consider themselves to be underlings, that betrays them. Van Houten's interpretation isn't that far off, actually... he's saying this is one of those cases in which the stars are the problem - it's not them holding themselves back, but it is their stars (their unchangeable fate, cancer) that causes their tragedy. Also, BioGio, that statement isn't particularly wrong.

A solid foam would actually probably be best. You can just use an Xacto knife (sword of exact zero!) to whittle down the shape and details, and then paint (you may want to cover the surface first with plaster of paris or something similar first, but it won't be a disaster if you don't). You don't have to buy separate sheets, either. You can get big thick blocks - they're usually green and in the flower section, to put in the base of pots for fake flowers.

It was a great pleasure to lose again at CAH to the lot of you. XD

Well, I wish I could have been around for more of it, but it was great to meet you and everyone else. ^^ I'll be sure to be more present the next time I make it over to that side of the country.

I got selected for four as well, but bowed out of two (I don't want to take up all the games, haha). Still an alternate for two others.

On the subject of targeted ads (and how it relates to me)
Kayru commented on Swert's blog entry in blogs_blog_703
I like targeted ads. I get to see ads for awesome webcomics and such, rather than "hot xxx singles" and the like.
