Set Review: 75112 General Grievous
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Set looks awesome. That is a really creative use of CCBS and I do like the way it turns out. And the colours... Never thought I'd see tan again. -NotS -
A Great Way to Lose Your Studs
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Haha oh man. That's something out a horror story. I weep for all the lost studs. Great moc and concept but I would never condone such a horrendous act upon my stud launchers. -NotS -
Ha! That G1 reference. xD It's so obscure and I love it! Episode was pretty cool, had some good moments of comedy and even a throwback with Pohatu's hate for scorpions. Again, it's really fast but pacing didn't feel too much an issue here. The Skull Scorpio's got plenty of screentime and feel like a real menace. -NotS

Well, I don't mind a good clip-show. Execution-wise, this was really well done. Hit all the right notes, had all the right jokes and was suitably epic. Only problem is... this is a 90 second episode in a show that already relies heavily on "previously" segments. It felt like a waste of time, especially after seeing today's finale. Very disappointed with this detour, but I guess that pic of Makuta softens the blow a bit. -NotS

The Toa Mata Band Reunites
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Ha, awesome! I remember watching these vids a while back. A cool concept, and I'm happy to see its still going. Also, I always thought it was cool that the guy did his research in finding out about the name "Toa Mata" since that was retroactively added back into the series partway through. -NotS -
Set Review: 75109 Obi-Wan Kenobi
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Interesting way to utilize the cape. A cool set for sure. Not much to complain about - it's standard, but in all the right ways. The humanoid heads still creep me out though. -NotS -
LEGO Dimensions Asks "Who's Got Talent"?
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Massive voice cast - the game looks absolutely crazy. Read the reviews and I was so stoked to go out and buy this... but then I forgot it was an action-figure based video game. Don't have the money or commitment for this type of thing right now. -NotS -
Set Review: 75107 Jango Fett
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Looks like a fun build (especially that jetpack) but the overall execution seems sloppy. They definitely could have used better suiting armour - this just looks way too bulky in all the wrong places. Thanks for the review! -NotS -
Set Review: 75110 Luke Skywalker
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Looks fairly standard, but the armoured build is definitely well-done and a standard I think all constraction sets should follow. (also saw these at TRU a couple weeks ago, surprised they had a Luke-Vader dual pack! Been a while since I've seen one of those). -NotS -
Second Bionicle Book Up for Pre-Order
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Seems like it'll be a separate entry from the animation story arc. Definitely intriguing! Will pick up... Helps that there is an ebook version as well. -NotS -
OFFICIAL Bionicle 2015 Topic
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Makaru's topic in Bionicle Discussion
I hope you guys are ready for me because I'm going to be posting a TON today. Anyway, 2015 was pretty cool, animations were good albeit rushed. News of the new show is getting me so stoked though. BTW, picked up Skull Scorpio like 2 weeks ago and love it. The build was so technical and fun, and the feature works perfectly. Awesome set. EDIT: It's weird to see the mouths move for the maskless Toa in today's episode. -NotS -
OFFICIAL Bionicle 2015 Topic
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Makaru's topic in Bionicle Discussion
I gotta say, the animations took a turn for the worse in episode 11, but then reversed and skyrocketed into amazing for episode 12. The newest episode WAS FANTASTIC, and I am super hyped for the next (if we are following the pattern, there should be one tomorrow). Went to the LEGO Store today and saw the Summer sets for the first time. Was impressed with Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder's box! It's sized suitably for the contents of the set. No more Maxilos and Spinax-level oversized boxes. Makes me happy. Alas, spent a lot of money today on a new phone so I just bought Skull Basher. Great set; the build was entertaining and his action feature is original, works well, and is all around well designed. Can't wait to get some more summer baddies! -NotS -
"Island of the Lost Masks": Official Discussion Topic
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to GSR's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Oh man, so awesome that a new book is out. Didn't realize it was that time of the summer already. I'd love to get a digital edition, but I can't seem to find it on any retailer website in Canada... :/ Anyone else having the same problem? -NotS- 53 replies

That is an AWESOME misprint. It's a great mesh of colours. That should have been an official Kraata... -NotS

Woah, looks so smooth! Unfortunately, while I love 60 fps in my video games, it looks a teeny bit too unnatural for film. Like it's sped up without really being sped up. Probably just used to 24 fps but dang this looks strange! Really cool work though! -NotS

Probably the entire 2001 collection. I want those Tohunga. I want those Turaga. Dear god, I want those Rahi. NO. I WANT ALL OF THE MASKS. -NotS

Movie Style Matoran
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Toa Turing's topic in Bionicle-Based Creations
Very nice! I would have used a smaller mask than the Volitak cause it looks huge on that body, but it's a solid design that I honestly never would have thought of implementing. All things considered, it's probably the closest to a movie-style Matoran one could get. Excellent job! -NotS -

Are the Inika Actually Zombies?
Nidhiki of the Shadows replied to Arzaki's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
...Woah. Never thought of that. I mean, that's cool and all, but considering the events of 07 with Matoro sacrificing himself (I guess he did once in 06 too), it would be a redundant plot point. Dead person dies... um okay -NotS
