No, no, the Festivus story is still stick in the legendary pre-production nightmare. It'll be Festivus in March at the earliest, folks. Sigh.

I'm here about something that's ahead of schedule, actually. You see, last year, around this time, I did this thing based on the Japanese Girls' Festival. That'd be Zinia and Samantha there. The dolls are based on various BBC people. Yeah, okay, I know Tok was long gone from BBC by that time. I needed a third person for that spot.

So, here we are this year. Photo-Paint still isn't anywhere near this computer, yet I still really wanted to do something. So I kinda looked in Paint's direction...

And here we are so far. I'm currently debating whether or not I should have those middle three be holding stuff like in last year's. I've got the time to fix 'em up, certainly, but still... hn. Switched Makaru in for Tok this year.

    Now to keep on working...

A little poem thing about various puffin-Vahki, you see. To keep sharp and all that.

A is for Amy, her voice a great drawl,
B is for Beatrice, her tattoos and all.
C is for Coraline, more curious than wise,
D is for Desdemona, the throne in her eyes.
E is for Eleanora, a great drain on mood,
F is for Freya, the source of the feud.
G is for Guinevere, her pathways askew,
H is for Hecate, whose mercies are few.
I is for Imogen, destructor of polls,
J is for Juliana, far too fond of souls.
K is for Karenina, quickly lead astray,
L is for Ligiea, who pulls folks away.
M is for Melissa, a boss to many,
N is for Nigella, queen of the sav'ry.
O is for Ophelia, maddened by love,
P is for Philomela, sonics of a dove.
Q is for Quyen, her wings great and broad,
R is for Rhiannon, her magic mere fraud.
S is for Sara, whose mind's flown the coop,
T is for Tabitha, true witch of the group.
U is for Umeko, too sweet for the fight,
V is for Victoria, amateur of flight.
W is for Wendy, the Vahki of style,
X is for Xixitho, with weapons stockpile.
Y is for Yaelia, keeper of the Hoto,
And Z is for Zinia, who drank too much Proto.

Just something I've been working on these past few... couple of weeks. I actually did one as the intro for a larger, Vahki-based story a couple of years ago, but that kinda went nowhere. A chunk of the names are the same, and the last two lines are identical to the original. That had to be the same.

I think I'm having one of those days.

You know, those days where you wouldn't be caught dead in public with your minions? When disownage is the most attractive option? Those days where you just want to grab a big mug of hot chocolate, curl up on the sofa with the List of Heredity, and take the red DQing Sharpie to a couple names?

No? That's fine. It's okie. It's not exactly something I'd wish on people.

In any case, that's the sort of day I'm having. This is what I get for building up hope for the infamous Piyufi minions. Just when I thought there'd be dignity at last...

Sigh. I guess Schizo can be Empress if it ever comes down to that. He'd prolly look better in the dress and tiara.

If you'll look to your right, you'll see a shiny new content block. You get three guesses as to which one it is.

I've had the idea for a while now, but it took the suggestion of such by one BCii to get me seriously thinking about it. Now, here it is. Some of the stuff's super-old, and some hasn't even been posted ever. Not only has it all been gathered up, but it's also in an assumedly continuous order. Hurrah.

    So?
  5. Tufi Piyufi
    Well, she ain't.

An overview of things, because I have a million-plus-one different things I need to catch up on. I swear, I turn my back for a second, and...

First, the contest. The first thing to suffer the blow of surprise home renovations. I have been told what happened, though. I'm disappointed, folks. I can't really bring myself to say a whole lot more. Just know that there are a lot of you I am disappointed in.

Next, promotions. Namely, my getting a whole new minion. I've got some real hopes for this one. This could finally be the turning point that brings dignity to the Piyufi complement of minions. One would think that clean-nosed Shan would be that last hook in sanity, but no, he ain't. That boy wants the tiara bad. I can sense it.

Also, the Festivus story. Didn't get to do one bit on it, I'm afraid. The script is almost done, but I've got building and all that other stuff to deal with, never mind the current inability to load pictures onto the computer or edit them... It may be a 'Festivus in February' affair. Still, I'm gonna get this one out...

    Finally, Mike. So bloody sad.

Time to get back into the dance.

So I was going through my stuff in one big blitz of speed-get-stuff-out-of-room-ing last night, and I saw some things in there.

For one thing, while dealing with my closet? Skirts. Also, dresses. Yes, in that very closet. And on the desk? Jewellery box. With things like bracelets and necklaces in it. Some of these had flowers and stuff on them. Let's not even get into the Clikits I found scattered across the room. And then the nail polish... I've been thinking about it all day, but only now have I been able to put words to it.

Folks, I'm not half the man you thought I was.

Your understanding during this time would be appreciated.

As noted in the previous entry, I've been a BBC moderator for three years as of today. I've seen a lot of MOCs in that time. It'd be madness to try and work out how many (though it would be a fun rainy-day project). I've seen a lot of not-so-fantastic MOCs, but I haven't turned to the System-side philosophy that 'nothing good can come of Bionicle parts' in the least. I've seen an incredible number of generic humanoids-with-weapons of every quality, but I haven't given up on the imagination of the general building populace yet. Generally, I have remained as optimistic as I was three years ago.

But, oh, there is one chord that drives me insane every time it's hit. Contest #30? Oh, oh, oh. And it hasn't healed since. It's only grown worse. Thus, the following plea:

Please, please, please, use anything but Nuva shoulder armour for the breasts of female MOCs.

This is not because they are shaped incorrectly. Indeed, if positioned at the right angle, and placed on a MOC of appropriate scale, they are possibly the best option in such a scenario.

    However.

    This hasn't happened yet.

Instead, there's MOCs with Toa torsos (and the more custom torsos as well) of all makes with 'em mounted on there, in all sorts of ways. You've got 'em mounted like a big silver watermelon. You've got 'em with the flat tops pointing out and forward, which actually bears an ironic resemblance to male pecs. You've got 'em stuck on there like a Toa Nuva stood in front of her and folded their shoulders in to their chest by ninety degrees. Sometimes, in this last case, they may be tilted a bit.

    None of these work. None.

All you get is a MOC who looks like she's patronized the fine med grads down in Beverly Hills on one (or more) occasions. They (or in the case of the watermelon, it) just sticks out like a pirate at a ninja convention. Unfortunately, this tends to prompt some rather inappropriate comments from the folks replying to the topic. Fortunately, neither I or the rest of the BBC staff are willing to put up with this. So, that's one thing we can directly deal with.

(And I will freely admit that I have done this for some of my MOCs in the distant past; however, you couldn't pay me enough to do it on a non-joke MOC in the past two years or so. I learned. It's possible.)

However, there still remains the issue of the shoulder armour. That isn't so easy. I can't exactly make it a rule: yeah, there might be a thing or two wrong with that. I can't go to each of your houses and pry the pieces away from you before you make such a placement. Really, the most I can do is ask you to seek out other options, and frankly, that's the only route I'd take, even if the others were open. This has to be a voluntary thing: you have to be willing to find other, better options.

You don't have to have each and every point of the curve defined. You don't need to differentiate between left and right. Just build something that fits the MOC. In so many cases, that isn't Nuva armour. That isn't a mask for each one. It's something else. It's something smaller. I don't know about individual areas, but the D-cup isn't the average size.

Please, please, please give this a shot.

I await the events of a week from now. Oh yes.

On another note, people who prebuild MOCs for the contests before they even get the theme are in for quite the shocker this time around. You're not gonna be able to just slap a relevant name on it this time, folks. Oh no.

Are these two things related? Maybe. Maybe not. I just needed to blog.
  9. Tufi Piyufi
Well, it does. Twenty more days, give or take. This year, we're gonna do it right: we're gonna get an actual pole and everything.

Oh, don't tell me you thought I was kidding all this time... Why would I jest about something like this?

Anyhow, I have this idea for this semi-massive Festivus picture story. I missed out on executing it last year, and I'm not keen on missing the boat this year. It's got a PTA in it and everything. They are psycho. Phone calls are made.

If only my adapter/charger wasn't missing and the card reader was hooked back up and Photo-Paint was stuck on this machine. Sigh.
  10. Tufi Piyufi
It is fast. It is sleek. It sounds like the wind and nothing rougher. It is barren of all those weird programs my brother downloads, sticks on the C: drive (despite dad's pleas 1) not to go downloading random stuff like that and 2) to not stick stuff on C: anyway), and never uses after the first week. It is pure.

In the traditional Piyufi naming system, it is Transframe. It is the successor of Ultraframe, which in turn was used right up to last night.

    It is beautiful.

Also, we stopped right before the 'move all your files onto the new machine' phase, so I'm missing access to all my files, my bookmarks, and I'm using that new Internet Explorer. Regarding the last item on the list, it's not so bad, but I kinda prefer the feel of Firefox: things seem a bit too compact in IE for comfort. I'll ask dad to get Firefox back up later, though: 's'no rush.

Computer-wise, I'm currently living out of a box. But oh, what a box.

Finally, to answer what is prolly the obvious question: no, it doesn't, but we're waiting for the card that allows that feature to come down in price.

So, I have this blog. I also haven't posted anything in this blog for a while. I also also have this MOC. I am not especially attached to making a topic for it just to send my post count up a tiny bit. As well, the text and meaning behind the MOC would be more at home in a blog entry than in a topic. Therefore, the solution is to post an entry about it.

    Rectification

As we all know, Bionicle is a subset of the general Lego realm. It also isn't an especially loved one (outside of the whole Bionicle fandom, of course). It's been a little over five years now, and yet it's still scoffed at and reviled by the 'System-side' of things. People still cringe when they see so much as a hip joint and limb in a System set. They cry out 'contamination!' and other such things. They mock Bionicle's 'incompatibility' with System, and yet, when Bionicle does pop up in a System set... it's the end of the world.

I find this attitude extremely tiring, for lack of a better word. That's what makes the inevitability all the sweeter. You see, you guys are growing up. Some of you are in your late teens. Some of you are already past that 18-year mark. This last group of you are, by definition, AFOLs. Yet, you like Bionicle. You're not adverse to it. You may even build with it. You prove that the Bionicle-loving AFOL is not an oxymoron.

Thus, the vignette. On the table is the MOC Washimilna (found elsewhere in my gallery, and painfully overdue for a rebuild) and a few of the Fun With Toa figures. Go ahead and guess who. On the floor are a couple of people. One has just mocked the presence of Bionicle at a convention. The other one isn't too amused by this. The other one also has a glaive. It started off as a relatively simple annoyed-Tufi vignette, but now I guess you could see the two people as representative of the two generations, if you were so inclined.

If there was ever a contest theme I'd revisit (though I prefer new ideas), it'd be Fusion Freebuild. That'd be a good one to combine with the off-BZP concept of #38. Alas, we've still got a fair bit of time before we should be considering that one. Still...

A MOC with a message. Enjoy.

Now I know what I'm doing with this thing! It's so obvious now! I'll post whatever I feel like at that moment! Hah! No pigenholing here! Not for puffins! Exclamation marks! Exclamation marks!

    ... yep, totally going crazy.

An insanity which definitely isn't being helped by this little dilemma... Pure black dragon wings. The one colour I could ever ask them to be in, except maybe black/light blue. Oh, that'd be nice, too... Anyways. Big Batmobile with black dragon wings. Big, expensive Batmobile with black dragon wings. Something in the realm of $109.99 Canadian. Just for those wings? Oh, I don't think so. Maybe not even for the other 1000+ pieces.

But they're right up there with the black Huna and the teal Kakama in terms of pure must-have awesome, and somehow, I came into one of the former after many years... Well, I suppose I'll just have to weasel in to somebody's Bricklink order. Yes... and then life will be swell.
  13. Tufi Piyufi
First of all, if you post spoilers for book #13 of A Series of Unfortunate Events, you will face full modly wrath. Seriously. Not even in tags; you know people can't resist temptation. Every single part of that book is something that one should be first exposed to as they read it. I'd have killed if anyone told me any of the big things that went on.

So, that said, I'd just like to announce this:

    I so called Beatrice's history.

For years, at that. Since the Unauthorized Autobiography first came out, though it was lacking a great deal of support at that time, I'll admit. But now... oh yeah.

If you've read it, you should know what I mean. If you haven't read it, go and read it. I'm not gonna tell you anything. I just needed to get this out there.

    But oh, I called it.
  14. Tufi Piyufi
I ran into someone who I know on the bus today. Well, that isn't exactly right. To be exact, someone who I apparently know recognized me and struck up a conversation. I then proceeded to feel absolutely awful in the back of my head whilst continuing a conversation up front. Eventually, I got off the bus, and all was well.

This isn't the first time this has happened, either. I have been stopped by people who knew me in kindergarten - kindergarten - and recognized me. I then manage to keep from totally embarassing myself long enough for them to eventually head off to their business elsewhere. The remaining time is spent trying to figure out who remembers people from kindergarten.

But my same inability to recall this earliest of years also keeps me from initiating these conversations. As such, the freak-memoried participant goes first. Greetings are exchanged, "I remember you from ___" is uttered. "Oh, really?" "Yeah! So..." And then, the dialogue following that 'so...' is my saving grace. I can then haul discussion off to a completely unrelated subject (hurrah school), I can bluff my way through a memory the other recalled, or once in a blue moon will I actually remember some bit of what they're talking about. Sometimes, such as today, I can go without even mentioning their name. All of this is seamless. As far as I can tell, they suspect nothing.

I realize that these same skills could also land me a gig as one of those John Edward-type 'psychics.' Oh yes. The cold read is not that much of a stretch from what I do now. I can milk the most useful information out of people without them ever knowing. At the very least, I could totally clean up at parties. I wonder if I could even add seances to my repertoire...

This will have to go under 'careers-plan-B', I suppose.
  15. Tufi Piyufi
    Exhibit six.

Once again, see entry title. Schizo seems to have no right/his-left shoulder. That's not the same brush I stumbled across so very long ago for grass. It's generally... I dunno. And I know I'll never get around to posting a topic for this. So, here.

Also made a wallpaper out of it, mostly because I've been staring at the same awful image for at least over a year. If you really want to see it, exhibit seven. Quite happy with the sky gradient, though. At least I have that.

So, there you go. Cripes do I need something decent to write about.
  16. Tufi Piyufi
Imagine, if you will, a really big city. That'd be the island system of BZ-Metru. Now imagine a city within that city. Well, a few cities, anyways. In this instance, we're talking about one of the bigger ones. It's big, it's old, and it's beautiful. And I'm not biased, I swear. It's the BBC Empire. And it's mine.

Alright, technically it isn't just mine, but still.

Those that I do share it with, well... There's a few things I could say about 'em. Love 'em all, though. Don't get me wrong. I'd be hard-pressed to come up with a bunch of people I'd rather have with me. And, though in some cases I'm reluctant to admit it, I owe 'em all in one way or another. Then again, the reverse holds true.

Then there are those who sometimes make me wonder as to why I keep them alive, and by 'those', I mean Kex. Personally, he's been trouble since day one. Add that to the fact his 'day one' is earlier than just about all the others, and you've got a fantastic way to sell more migraine meds.

Oh, that's a bit too cruel. He's improved vastly since the days when it was Tok and Redeemer he served alongside. I'm inclined to peg it on the tiara. Ever since I gave him a tiara crafted from nothing less than the infamous Clikits, I've seen progress. Heck, he's even stayed on the List of Heredity for a couple weeks at a time. Remarkable, I must say.

Of course, he never gets to be at the front of the line. That's where Shannara comes in. Well, he doesn't get to be first, either, but he does go one spot in front of wherever his fellow prince is. A very effective strategy; keeps things interesting. Seeing them fight for a position neither will ever have... it passes the time when the contests hit the slow stretch.

Shan's never been nearly as much trouble. He always shows the proper respect, does what's asked of him, has never made a try at the title of Empress of BBC... Which, of course, is why I'm wary of that boy. There's no way he can work with the whole lot of us and not have the same traits (evil, twisted, desire to be Empress). With the rest, it's all obvious to varying degrees. I can tell with some certainty what they're up to. Shan. however... There's no telling with that guy.

Mark my words, it will be his hand I see holding the dagger that does me in one of these days.

And these are just the FAs. I squak, they fall in line behind me. It's mostly just a matter of how hard I have to squak. Sometimes the squaking involves glaive-swinging. Regardless, they eventually make a line like good little minions. Disregarding what I just said in the paragraphs above, they're the harmless ones, at least in relation to the rest of us. No, the ones who could either possibly take me if I'm feeling really sick that day or could devastate me within the span of a cough... those are the dangerous ones.

In terms of the sick-day one... Schizo. Ah, Schizo. His insanity is well-known and well-documented. He rules over Comedies. In terms of the Empire, though, he holds the rank of Viceroy. Except for his Katia personality. She's technically a Princess (and the only one in the Empire), but I've never had the heart to tell the 'default' Schizo about this. As far as he knows, I talked him into wearing the Clikits Immunity Necklace for nostalgic reasons. All those times, yes. I get very nostalgic.

Does he wanna be Empress, too? Not so sure. Katia prolly does, since she's the only one who could technically inherit the title, but Schizo seems to have different plans. I have heard murmurings of 'pirate' and 'king'. I may have heard them spoken together, as if one thing. Even with these rumours of such drastic changes to the Empire (namely, the fact it wouldn't technically be an Empire anymore), he's still at the head of the line. My reasoning lies in the paragraphs above.

And as for the utter devastation... That'd be Ninjo. The only one who outranks me, and the only one I can't strike back against. It is purely disheartening when one's scimitar bounces off harmlessly without leaving so much as a bent fibre, and the recoil-spun fall to the ground is punctuation to the issue. Don't worry, though. He knew I was gonna do it. It's totally cool.

In the scheme of things, he's Emperor, but I'll have you know right now there's nothing to read into that. During times when staffing systems are being changed around and you have a chance to set up a proper Empire with titles and everything, you don't give the second-best title to an FA who just got transferred to BBC. You give it to the guy you've been slogging through the place with for years prior. Also the guy with the powers to just take it anyway. With any luck, they're the same person.

As for any interest he may have in being Empress... Prolly not. I say 'prolly' as I have a reason, however slight, to question this... but that's for another day.

And myself... I'm the Empress. That's all I need to say, really.

So that's the BBC Empire for you. I won't tell you we're a beacon of sanity and normalcy. I can't lie to that pretty little face. I will, however, say that things look better on paper and worse on monitor, so you shouldn't be kept up at night by what I've just told you. We're fine, really. We could be somewhere more damaging to the mind, such as Comedies.

    Oh wait.

Now, if you don't mind, there are stories about this mad crew I need to get off my chest once and for all.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thought I'd forgotten, possibly? No, I assure you, the project is alive and well. I've been working on this in bits and pieces over the past week or so, actually. Never had the time to bash it all out in one go. Here it is now, though.

    Well?
  17. Tufi Piyufi
    Exhibit five.

Based on the first story in the whole project thing (yes, that's done and yes, I'm working on the second one). Once/if you've read the story, you'll see what's up with this picture. Also why I left it kinda sketchy. Hey, it was a rough day.

Speaking of which, I should really wrap up that second story soon. Then I'll have to decide if I'm still going to wait for a minimum of three finished stories (not counting intro seen earlier in this blog) before posting the topic in Comedies, or if I can wing it with two. Hn. I'd really like to take that step soon...

    Hn.
  18. Tufi Piyufi
The location of a related picture. Oh, Photo-Paint.

Yes, yes, I'm alive, huzzah. Haven't had much to blog about lately, is all. But now I have the above to show you. Oh yes. Working on the people portion as we speak. That should be fun. Also conversion of the picture into a desktop. Cripes do I need a new desktop.

Oh, and also finished one of them stories for the comedy portion. Hurrah. Now to start on some more. Not posting that thing until I get at least three done, you see. Two to go...
  19. Tufi Piyufi
The computer I'm currently using is making some rather strange sounds. Not exactly healthy sounds, either. I'm hearing some raspiness and some fast-paced waspish humming and this thing is about two feet away from both torso and head. Monitor is aimed directly at my face, and I have my doubts about that component as well. Should either part blow, it's goodbye Jennifer. It'd freak out some Grade Eights, though, so it wouldn't be entirely pointless.

They marched us to the 'mainland' earlier this week for some assembly. We don't have such things down here. They have 'em up there. I haven't been to one in years. In any case, off I go to sit on a rather uncomfy wooden board. For an hour. An hour of 'you're Grade Twelves now, if you go to anything that doesn't have 'university' somewhere in the name you're scum and a failure (mostly implied, based on certain comments made), and Porfolio is dead but do it anyway because you're insane like that'. And a rather ironic choice of song in the band's mini-performance.

I've listened to 'One', right. Grade Seven, project on Broadway musicals, done simply because I could. I've read about it. I'll tell you something: that is not a song with which you promote individuality and a strong group identity all at once. That is a song sung by people who have worked their feet off (and worse) in audition and rehearsal and all that, only to wind up simply glorifying the lead actress and playing background to her in the musical the characters were auditioning for. It's actually a rather depressing song, if you listen to the lyrics. The performance itself was fine (just instrumentals), but when he tried to tack that on at the end... horrific.

And yeah, being made to try and recall assemblies I've never been to was awkward, too.

It was worth it when he made the most unfortunate comment ever, though. His intentions were all well and good: no tolerance for drugs, alcohol, all that stuff. Simply no fault to be found there. Delivery, however...

Oh, how lucky he was that we were no longer Grade Eights.
  20. Tufi Piyufi
So three years ago today, I became a moderator. Standard blue-type, nothing too fancy yet. I go in Sets; considering the catalogue wounds were still fresh, a given. Movies and Books; hey, Mask of Light just came out, the place needed all the help it could get. BBC... I'd actually been poked towards asking for BBC, and since I didn't know what in blue blazes I wanted in terms of forums, I figured 'what the heck.'

Over time, I picked up Artwork and G&T, got assigned to Artwork II through that bit of forum mitosis, temped in S&T (yes, you heard me... hey, an assignment's an assignment), finally got into GD (once a GD Junkie, always a GD Junkie), dropped G&T, lost M&B somewhere along the way, and I've even had my name on the contest voting forum a few times. And then, a good while later, I got guest keys to all the forums anyway.

But BBC has always been the unchaging, permanent fixture of my lineup. Not that I mind, as I have kinda grown to absolutely love it to bits. Yeah... you might've been able to tell that already.

I mostly remember it was today since it was a very good week in general: school was back in, the 'What Will You Make?' tour was in town, I met up with the local club at said tour, impressed them with my ability to touch Bionicle pieces and not recieve unholy burns (this was a few years ago, you must remember)... It was a very good week.

So, in short, wow. Three years. Wow.

Coronation Street. Yes, I watch it. Before making a snarky comment on that, I remind you who has the Global powers here.

But oh cripes. Mike. It's absolutely heartrending watching his current story... We just got up to the point where he's sitting outside the restaurant. It's such a scary thing in real life, and even seeing a dramatisation of it...

At least we got some good Battersby time out of that episode, too.

And, um, yeah, please be with the not-discussing of specific plot bits. Canada's almost ten months behind (currently on Christmastime 2005 episodes), so I'm not too keen on getting spoilers splashed up in here, and I dunno if there's anyone who's even further behind us (I think I've heard something, though), so it'd be best for all if we avoided the spoilers. Note the vagueness in the above portion of the entry. Nothing more specific than that, please.

So yeah, Tufi watches Coronation Street. Got something to make of that?

What a fantastic concept indeed. And they're all mine, too. Get yer hands away from my ninja puffins.

And here's some now. Well, just three ninja puffin doodles, really. There's also a guy with a hat, a ninja puffin sword, random shark-thing, and a bit of Orthano going 'huh'. Still, there are ninja puffins in there, and that is what is important.

    That is all.

    (man, Othie looks baffled)

A brief one, too, since the longer I go on, the more likely it is I'll spoil something.

So I saw 'Snakes on a Plane' yesterday. It's a fantastic movie, provided that you're old enough (no encouragement to fly in the face of the ratings system here... sorry, folks). Don't go in expecting high cinema, and you're gold.

Anyhow. So I'd heard some things about how it was filmed here in Vancouver. Okie. Lots of things are filmed here. Lots of funky things. Wouldn't be too surprising. Thing is, though, I hadn't heard a thing from anyone around here about working on or knowing anybody who worked on it. That's a bit weirder. You'd think someone I/my mother knows would be willing to mention their experiences on 'this new movie with Samuel L. Jackson'.

Then we saw the movie. I'll tell you right now, in a lot of the non-plane scenes, it's pretty darn obvious this was filmed in Vancouver. Sure, there aren't any of the immediately-betraying skyline shots, but the scenery... And I swear I've been in that neighborhood before. Or, if not that exact place, then a few others like it.

Yep. Totally filmed here. No wonder it's such a pure grade of awesome.

So I guess the point of this entry is 'yay Vancouver'. So... yay Vancouver.

Because I could, changed enouigh to enough.

Exhibit four: random tablettings. Mostly formal wear-type things, some architecture. Also a random ninja puffin, for the heck of it. Haven't drawn a ninja puffin in a long time. Now I have, so it's all swell.

So yeah. Clearly this isn't the normal day-to-day wear. I can't imagine any of the stuff up there being suitable for work in the field. Still, sometimes the situation arises where you gotta look nice, and then it's time to somehow get the princes into their suits (back/front shown, for clarity). Threats of princesses tend to work well.

Also random building. Mostly for heck of it, I'll admit. Then again, can it really hurt to toss something like that in there? Oh, and it's not (part of) the palace. Oh no. I still need to tackle that thing once and for all.

And yes, ninja puffin. Why not?

The scanner lives, the card reader lives, the tablet lives. It is a glorious occasion.

And, to celebrate, I bring you pictures. You know, to prove I'm not all talk and no action about this. Which has happened far too many times in the past, I will readily admit. But not this time. Oh no. I have you guys to hold me to things.

Exhibit one: some manner of preliminary map. For starters, I wouldn't hold me to anything but the most basic outline of the palace, and maybe not even that. No clue what I was doing there. I know there's a big open garden-type place fenced in by those walls you see there, though. The rectangular-looking part. That much is for certain. Also, minifig feet/legs. Those aren't actually there. And the road to the pollish area should prolly be southward. Otherwise, I present The General Idea.

And exhibit two, for the heck of it: in relation to the rest of the Creative Outlet. Come to think of it, I should prolly figure out where all the other forum-type places are. I can't imagine all the action staying in BBC. Oh no. Those other people are plenty crazy too.

So? Convinced I'm not just bluffing yet?
