  1. This is great.Your colors are wonderful to behold in a bzp comic, and I applaud your efforts.clapclapclapclapclapThe sense of humor is quite fun, and your pacing is spot on, especially the actual panel sizes and shapes. I enjoy the character designs, and the mask is to die for; I love stylized masks. I really like the different styles of drawings that have progressed through, it really makes it organic and interesting. Also, the shading in the Apology was spot-on.
  2. Well if you do System themes it could be rather fun. Such as replacing the Adventurers, Fright-Knights, Blacktron, Time-Cruisers, Rock Raiders, and so on with Bionicle or Hero Factory characters. It's close to the movie theme (or whatever other similar thing was had) though. There's such a small group now (hooray, close-knit family) that I don't see the requirements even having to be too strict, I mean, what, we're talking 25-ish entrees at max anyway or something? A contest might rouse previously silent members but I can't see us all getting too out of hand.
  3. Ehh, since it's been mentioned from the dawn of time on, we could just get it out of our systems.. I'm not partial to it, but this is still better than a mandatory fusion. I don't hate hero factory, but it's nowhere near as fun to draw as Bionicle stuff, mainly because there's no real established personalities, so what's the point of personifying their appearance? etc etc. But they can! There's a lot of room to wiggle, since a battle could potentially revolve around 2-3 characters, or a massive wave of minions, or an army vs a small group, or.. or.. *breathe* ...there's no real limit.By the way, where have you been, I missed you. :<
  4. Ugh, how many times do I have to tell you.. you keep getting ridiculously better each time. This is so wonderful. He's so mysterious, and definitely nostalgic- I looked at the picture before reading the bit about the Charred Forest and Bam! It was like looking at Templar's stuff all over again. The designs of the armor are to die for, especially the Toa's. The far left arm and leg are just.. eargh. You've reduced me to primal grunts. I'm liking his kind of sassy pose, but that knee...You know I have a weakness for brushed metal *blushes*The story is great here (though the 'witness' Matoran's hand is a bit melodramatic) and the colors are stylistically perfect. It's atmospheric and ethereal (also because the Charred Forest was perfect) and I can just picture it the perfect place for murder. My only gripes: (and by god they are minor) Your hands always get a tiny bit too big as they reach the fingers, when most hands are generically squarish and only expand when the fingers are completely splayed with the thumb. This is nitpicky. Also the thumb of the Guard is very teeny and pointy. More nitpicking. The top of his staff could be cleaned up a bit, I can still see the dark gray outline, and also, one side has a base for the horn and the other does not, though I love that it is 3-toned. Once again, this is so picky and obviously deters nothing from the piece. The last thing is that the background is kind of weird, because you have three different thresholds of blurs going on. Your cloud brush and highlights should be the most drastically blurred, and then the trees a little less: as it is, it looks a bit like a .bmp you copied from Google and pasted in the background (though that can be construed as a compliment)But whatever. Don't pay those things too much attention, I probably didn't lavish enough praise on this (you) enough. Would love to see more color schemes done monochromatically for each character. Or at least somewhat based on one.The only thing I have left so say is this, I found no reason to use this emoticon but I shall regardless:
  5. I knew that pose looked familiar.linked insteadAs cool as it is, yours is quite stiff. For launching in the air, only to twist severely, the back is completely straight, and the neck is turned a perfect 90 degrees. The colors are a bit odd, especially the different shades of gray, as well as red and green bits [unless it was just supposed to be for the arrow, and in that case I can understand] when one color might look better. Also, the bent leg is twisted in a funny direction, and the wings are a bit messy compared to the rest. But, the style of armor is always enjoyable, and I can see a lot of mechanical patterns I used to do all the time as well
  6. Believe me, I tried a lot of different looks, but this was the best in my eyes. I toyed with differentiating brightness in spots, but the 'flat' look turned out to be the best with the spider-web-like form I wanted to do the electricity in. I probably had too much fun drawing the lines anyway... Could you voice why? Just curious. What are these heathen words
  7. Want to point out three things, the urge is irresistible. Please consolidate- you only need one topic, not threefive, (I count things) as they're all pretty similar and collection topics have much more perks as well as ease of viewing all in one place.Opposed to one of the other pictures, the foreshortening on this hand holding the burning spiral is executed decently, although it looks like the last two are sawed of cylinders while the middle and index are rounded. You could probably eliminate part of the upper circle at the ends, just suggest the curve instead of rendering it explicitly.Lastly, full on eye-scars are so cliche that they negatively impact an image.
  8. Oh hi.. I do not remember, is this your real account or dupe? Cannot recall the name, but I liked that one better. c:These pictures do not need to be so big. Yeah, I am ecstatic for you that you are drawing gigantically, but please, crop them when you are done. We do not need ten inches of white surrounded each of them in 2550 x 3300 pixels. Honey, 1000 is enough in any direction. Especially two in image tags. Slowed down my computer. Your figures suffer from Distended Torso Syndrome. It would be fine if it were occasional, done on all the lanky, thin characters, for instance, but this is a chronic issue that not even a stocky hunchback can escape from, such as Onua. I recommend you work on proportions the most, and then light sources. The sketchiness is fine for a doodle and working things out, but then the coloring itself could stand to be a bit more refined to balance it out and keep it from looking sloppy. If you want to branch out into interesting (and different) poses, get a magazine and look at people playing Lacrosse. They are always in motion and have the added bonus of musculature working for balance, as opposed to super-hero poses and whatnot. (Just don't only look on Google, most of those poses are similar and immediately identifiable as that sport.)Well, you got a post out of me.Oh, and I like Lewa's shoulders. You are welcome.
  9. Rats, man, I forgot how much I loved your Surel (right?) picture. The cloak being the best part, of course. You should put up your Vorox as well. I love your wire-musculature. I think that's why all of this stuff works so well.I love the first one, the outlines go well with the drastic tonal work and shadows. Perhaps each highlight's glow is a bit much, but I've never been scuba-diving, so you're a better bet than me in regards to accuracy. ;)Also love the coloring on the red guy, is it still Bionicle related?Oh look, you got me to post.
  10. Oh thanks guys I do not understand this at all. Thanks for actual constructive criticism, you wrote it well. Alas, nothing in these pieces will change, because one, I'm done with these as they were for a project in past tense, and two, I am not doing very much Bionicle art anymore at all. But yes, all my robots are drowned in what used to be heart lights, and eventually became large, utilitarian gimmicks. That is not to say it happened by accident. How would you draw lightning? I do not mind it being stylistic of the piece. Each picture has some quality reminiscent of a cartoon, I am surprised you did not notice the suit in the third.
  11. onetwoand three I have moved on to other things do not expect much elseThese are what, almost a year old or am I forgettingOh Cinnamon you were my only perfect piece

we live in a politically incorrect world where bigotry is the only accepted form of opinions. Thank God it's slowly changing. Maybe when we're on our deathbed we'll be able to say: At least we saw some progress, slow as it was.

  13. Correct, it never ceases to amaze me that some people think that everyone must live their lives exactly as they do, and that some of them even create measures to prevent individuality and what they deem unwholesome 'lifestyles.'

  14. Yes, and that is a perfectly acceptable way to "end" anything.....

  15. Declare your opinion as law and lock a blog entry? Not reasonable at all.

No. Preforming eye surgery is an extremely difficult, delicate, and tricky task. To do it on yourself is even harder. (Eye surgery is NOT just changing the shape/angle of eyes. Take it from someone who has had it done.) Even current laser eye surgery carries numerous risks, and that is with highly scientific and calculated equipment. Most eye doctors will just use contacts or glasses to correct vision. Do you really think Harry would cut open a flap in his eye, remove delicate tissue in the perfect measurement and shape and close it again successfully on his first try? The kid couldn't even produce a good summoning charm for a long time, do you really think he could do something that difficult and drastic? No. How many times have I said this....

Different wizards specialize in different sorts of magic. Pretty much like talents and their jobs usually correspond to what they are best at. (usually) The only type of magic Harry is really good at is anything related to defense against the Dark Arts, such as offensive and defensive spells, and so he became a Dark Wizard hunter, not an optometrist. Broom makers focus on making brooms, not eye-related magic. The only person I can possibly speculate being able to work eye magic would be Madam Pomfrey, Hogwart's nurse. Seeing as she's had him in the hospital ward almost every year he was at school and never fixed his glasses, I don't think she can, because no one probably even thinks about it. And for goodness sakes, people today wear glasses all the time. We have eye-doctors, why do you think a great number of people still wear glasses?

..Did you even read a thing I said? Magic is not a simple thing, period. It can take years to master particular spells, they vary greatly in difficulty. Considering eyes are so complex, magic dealing with them is completely insane. Eye magic would be even harder to master than little spells, and considering Harry fails at charms and healing spells, I doubt he would be able to do it even after practicing 80+ years: that is to say, if it can even be done (which we do not know for sure.) Flying on a broom is a skill like riding a bike: the magic is put into the broom by the manufacturers, the riders don't use any magic to actually use it.

Also know that Harry couldn't do magic outside of school classrooms legally until he was 17, and by then he had much more pressing matters to deal with. (Although... considering how many times he lost his glasses...) Harry has always sucked at healing spells, so why would he take the time to learn a difficult spell(s) most likely limited to Healers and specialists. Eye magic would most likely be very precise and specific, not too many wizards' style of magic is like that anyway. Just think-- if anything went wrong (and spells do a lot if the wizard is not good enough in many ways) they would be blind for life. Do you think anyone is going to take that chance? He would have to get a very proficient wizard at any rate, and the only one he knew (besides Arthur Weasley of course) was Dumbledore; Dumbledore had more important things to attend to anyway.
  20. And a little birdie told me you were back by now. (actually it was you)

  21. I was under the impression that black holes were "likely" to exist in the way scientists think they are, not proven exact. But besides that, since humans cannot perceive any dimensions above the 2nd, how could this Hamilton character render anything in the 4th? Just curious about science facts.
