  1. Let's just say I had never played UT before this so I very much mismanaged at the start. If I had known I would have gotten a free Steve Young card I would not have picked Cam, because Young is just as mobile and much more accurate. Similarly I wasted hours getting blown out online (I'm lucky to be 9-13) before realizing solo challenges are a much better way to get money. Being a Panthers fan, however, Cam was my natural choice to start with and it gave the benefit of Panthers unis. Right now I'm starting Cam for Solo Challenges and Steve Young for online matches, but I could really have used a Larry Fitzgerald or Adrian Peterson to begin with.
  2. So I've been getting into Ultimate Team lately, mainly due to Connected Career becoming impossible due to not being able to restructure contracts (seriously EA, what the heck were you thinking?). Anyway, I just completed the NFC South Solo Challenge, and my reward was Ronnie Lott (96 overall) - in case you don't know, one of the toughest players in NFL history and one of the best to boot. I've been working on my offense more than anything but with Ronnie Lott at SS I shifted a rookie version of (the late) Pat Tillman (79 overall) to FS, with a decent cornerback tandem of Leon Hall (89 overall) and Stanford Rout (84 overall). My biggest hole is at linebacker - I don't have a single guy with a rating of over 66. On the offensive side I have Steve Young and Cam Newton at QB, DeAngelo Williams at RB, and Jason Witten at TE - aside from that, it's a pretty meh group. Right now I'm at an 80 overall If anyone wants to play against my team just shoot me a message. -TN05

    SimCity

I prefer 3000 myself - the only SimCity games I have are that and a DS version, which is an (expectedly) inferior version using the 3000 graphics for the most part.
  4. So I watched the documentary today, and it was very impressive. It was extremely impartial, which makes it quite different than some of the more politically charged accounts, and Tom Hanks did a very good job narrating the whole thing. It was also very accurate to period, which led to the usual issues one might have with a period drama - mainly, the usage of what is now a racial slur. However that is obviously something that any accurate reproduction would take. If you want a good look at what happened before, during, and after the assassination, I'd highly recommend Killing Lincoln. -TN05
  5. Thanks for the responses so far - this will be much more entertaining if the cast is entirely BZP user characters, so I hope more people will be interested. If either of you are interested, I can start a group PM and give an outline of my idea as to how this will work.

    Wii-U

I'm very interested in the Wii U, particularly from the very impressive demonstration at Wal-Mart and the three different controller options (Wii U controller, Pro, and Wiimote)... But I'll probably get a 3DS first, simply because there are more quality titles coming out (namely, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team) in addition to already established ones like Super Mario 3D Land and New Super Mario Bros 2. -TN05
  7. I'm considering making a comics version of Surivor set with BZPower members. Yes, I know the idea is not original but nobody has done it in a long while and I think it would be fun to do. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in being a player on it (I'd be looking for around 14-18 members to participate, split into either two or three tribes depending on size), and what gameplay elements people would be interested in seeing from such a series. EDIT: I will send a PM to all interested users with requested information. Expect a request for a spritesheet as well as some character information to help create more compelling storylines, challenge results, and alliances. I'll need a decent number of interested players first, so I don't have to resort to filler characters or use my own. -TN05
  8. According to LEGO this is not the case. https://community.lego.com/t5/NINJAGO/Important-Ninjago-Announcement/m-p/4461464#U4461464
  9. The key thing here is to find legal ways to get over the fact that LEGO doesn't have a patent since theirs expired in 1989. The point of a patent is to protect inventors from having their designs stolen off after inventing something - essentially, it creates a government-approved monopoly for the duration of the patent. So when the tube-and-stud pattern expired, rip-offs could be made. LEGO tried to get a trademark in the EU in 1999, but it was overturned in 2010. These types of rulings have also happened in other places, like Canada. Now, it is possible to transfer trademarks - such as when LEGO has purchased the rights to make LEGO sets for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc. But this assumes companies like Mega Bloks have trademarks, that they would be willing to sell them, and that LEGO would want to buy them. It isn't ideal at all. I think that LEGO could have a case to sue companies that produce similarly-named sets as their current designs, but aside from that there isn't that much else that can be done, to my knowledge, to reinstate the tube-and-stud patent as a trademark, aside from a reform of patent/trademark law. -TN05
  10. For me, it was the Battle of Metru Nui playset. It took be hours to build and it went for naught when I realized I had built a basically immovable set in the living room floor, not my room. >_< -TN05
  11. How about the Mask of Lag, which randomly stops time to confuse the opponent? -TN05
  12. I've made quite a few. The first I made was the Kanohi Vahkama, the Mask of Time and Speed, which is worn by my character's Toa form. Basically, it is a fusion of the Vahi and Kakama that allows the user to use both abilities at once. The Vahi half is very difficult to control, like the original Vahi, so my character rarely uses it except in dire circumstances. I've also created quite a few EM masks: Mask of Acid StrengthAllows the user to adjust the strength of acids or acidic substances. Kanohi Uah, the Mask of Ambush ProtectionProtects the user from sneak attacks and ambushes, but is useless against attacks the wearer is aware of. If the user is ambushed or sneak attacked, the mask delivers a counterattack at about twice the power of the strike, making it a complement of the Kanohi Hau. The mask is always on at a low level. Kanohi Bartow, the Mask of Subliminal RetentionAllows the user to see parts of the past of a living being by looking at them, and can also temporarily grant the user an ability - such as martial arts or marksmanship - after watching an example of it. However, the mask always works passively and cannot be forced, and as such is very unreliable in a combat situation. Also the amount of information the user receives varies is also unreliable. The Noble version only allows the user to see the pasts of beings. Works kind of like the Intersect in Chuck.Kanohi Laungh, the Mask of LogicSometimes called the Mask of Strategy. Lets the user think more clearly and concisely, and better know the steps in reasoning. This allows the user to form strategies, a common use for the mask, as well as solve puzzles and riddles. The mask is often referred to as the Mask of Strategy on Barrawahi, as it is popular for use by generals. It is distinct from the Mask of Understanding, as that one provides a more intuitive understanding without clear knowledge of the steps involved. This one provides all the steps and thus is slower but the steps often have other importance, especially in tactical situations. Mask of AfterlifeWhile worn, it takes energy from the user and stores it, and upon death, it uses this energy to allow the user to continue life in spirit form. In this spirit form, the user is able to communicate to living beings, as well as to appear in a ghost-like form. The user cannot use any powers they had, or physically interact with the world, but they are capable of all things the Iden allows, except possessing robots. The time the user is able to spend in spirit form is roughly double the amount of time they wore the mask; when they surpass that point in spirit form, their spirit fades away and dies. The mask is not viewed as taboo/evil by Toa and other 'good' beings, and is primarily used by HoF on Warzone to have temporarily unkillable spies and generals.Mask of Environmental AbsorptionAutomatically absorbs small amounts of energy from nearby plant life, which can increase strength as well as decrease hunger/fatigue. Although the mask does not absorb enough energy to actually kill plants, it is still controversial. Kanohi Triniken, the Mask of Matter/Energy ConversionAllows the user to change matter into a energy “ghost” that they have no control over (unless it is energy of their own element) and back. Most people call it the Mask of Object Ghosting. Mask of UndetectionPrevents the user from being detected by any artificial means. This prevents the user from being able to be detected by an Elda, Arthron, Mask of Sonar or any other Kanohi, as well as by any mechanical object or use, such as Sonar or Radar. However, they are still perfectly detectable by smell/energy signature, sight, and thermal detection, provided they are not using a machine or Kanohi to do so.The Great version can stay on for 30 minutes at a time; the Noble version for 5 minutes; both versions have a 30-second 'recharge' period afterwards. Mask of Pain ResistanceGreatly increases the user's threshold for pain. Does not actually make wounds less deadly, but it does allow the user to shrug off attacks that might otherwise leave him in horrible pain. The Great version allows resistance to both physical and mental pain; the Noble allows resistance against physical pain only.Mask of DiscomfortAllows the user to induce uncomfortable feelings resembling nausea, sickness and/or vertigo in beings he/she touches. The mask does not actually induce sickness, but creates the illusion of nausea, sickness, or vertigo in beings the user is in physical contact with. The sensation ends almost immediately after the user breaks contact with the target. The Noble version gives a much weaker sensation in beings than the Great version. Considered immoral. Mask of Elemental AccessAllows the user to access more of their pre-existing elemental energy reserves than they normally are able to, as well as have greater and more precise control over pre-existing elemental samples. The mask does not grant the user special abilities that the user does not already possess, and does not increase the user's elemental energy reserves or the recharge period if they run out of elemental energy. The Great version of the mask allows the user to create and control their element with the approximate power of a Toa Nuva, and the Noble version allows the user to create and control their element with the approximate power of a standard Toa. The mask is always on at a low level. -TN05
  13. It really is a shame they took that down right when people were getting into it. Then they tease us by giving us LRC, an inferior sequel, and taking that down after it was only online a year or so. -TN05
  14. @Lyichir - I really doubt Drome Racers is online in any form because it was a MMOLG of sorts.@Gatanui - I really hope LEGO brings it back - they tried a similar concept with the LEGO Racer challenge so the concpet must be like by them. And I had completely forgotten about Dreamz and Belts - those were tricky, but very fun. I wasted so much time on those back in the day.-TN05
  15. Are you sure? Drome Racing Challenge doesn't seem to be on there. -TN05
  16. So basically this topic to say the online LEGO games you miss the most. For me, it would probably be the Drome Racing game - if a genie gave me three wishes, one of them would be to permanently bring the game back. It was truly amazing while it lasted, and it was a load of fun to play. LEGO Racing Challenge was an OK successor, but it just wasn't the same in terms of quality and fun. -TN05
  17. I guarantee you it saves it if you have cookies on - my game is still on there and I haven't played it in months. -TN05
  18. The MNOLG II bridge glitch. I have never finished the game because that stupid glitch makes me not want to play the game and risk having it happen again. >_< -TN05
  19. That is a great game, I always liked how puzzle-based it was. There are ways to play it on your computer; I played it about half a year ago, cleared the whole thing. Unfortunately, I cannot link to any website that has it but I can say there are downloadable or web copies of the game on the internet if you search. Good luck in finding it. -TN05
  20. Bionicle Heroes DS is the only version worth playing more than once IMO. -TN05
  21. I'd say the depressing aspects of Vakama's story and the Bohrok revelation are pretty high. -TN05
  22. They wouldn't be gladly accepted, they were murderers and thieves that have been working against them for a long time. Just coming together to face a common, all powerful threat is a loose alliance that was most likely broken after Teridax died. The Toa/Matoran/Good guys made an alliance with the Skakdi and Dark Hunters in the Kingdom Universe, where the Hunters functioned as law enforcement. That's an extraordinary case, but it has happened in other universes. -TN05
  23. Happy new year! -TN05
