    We're only halfway through the series here in fair Blighty, but Rumpelstiltskin is easily the best character as Rumpel or Mr. Gold

      Robert Carlyle is absolutely amazing in that part. He balances humanity, freakishness, and comedy perfectly.

      I'm the same with the halfway-through-the-series thing, but Rumpeltstiltskin is the best character by far.

      But then, I always prefer villains to heroes. XP
