  1. Approved Always a bit wary of ones that are straight-backed and supposedly humanoid. You realise Rahkshi don't look like that because of bad posture, thats just how they are, right? Just to check, emanating pure anger like that still just has the same effects as a normal level 2 powers, yes? Slight contradiction in your profile, it says he hates everyone and everything...except clearly not because he's trying to earn Teridax's favour. Clearly doesn't hate his dad too much
  2. IC: [Turbo Vixen - Bionifight Exterior] "Well that might be an idea," Turbo looked as though she were considering the idea. But then, with her face concealed behind her visor it was a little hard to tell. "of course, we have no idea where the prisoners are really being held. So maybe you should go 'investigate' that out for us first? Call it an entry exam. You find the prisoners, we take you in and we all go rescue them together." IC: [Olari - Muaka's Den] She frowned as the wall merely cracked instead of being utterly broken to pieces. It was tougher than she thought it would be given there was no internal support for it. Some sort of very dense stone perhaps, that was stronger than normal. Or maybe latent elemental energies holding it together... "Sounds crude, but my suggestion would be "hit it harder". Not sure what we're dealing with so a proper visual might help," she suggested to Zakaro IC: [Venga - Hallways] The corridors of Bionifight always had echoed most marvellously, and that hadn't changed even with it crashed and grounded. Word of Miril's quest (or not quest, expedition as she would have it) bounced around them to reach Venga's ears. He started to gravitate towards the sounds, eager to get more volunteers for his own adventure, or to volunteer for someone else's if thats the way they wanted it
  3. IC: Palma looked around in alarm at Rain's sudden call, taking her attention from the patched up Flabbergaster. "What? What is it?" IC: The words of Xara, Jayar and Fang were right. The pair of Makuta continued right on their path with pausing or circling or anything that might have indicated they were paying undue attention to the ground beneath them. They flew right on by, not slowing or turning aside. Good news for the band of escapees...but two Makuta heading for Corpus Rahkshi with a very definite purpose boded all manner of ill...
  4. IC: [Turbo Vixen - Bionifight Exterior] "Try looking at it from our point of view. We're surrounded by enemies and then all of a sudden you come out the blue, swearing you have no idea whats going on and then asking if you can be let in, just like that. Looks way suspicious. Like super-super-suspicious." A disk materialised in her one true arm. She started throwing it in the air and catching it while talking. "And yes, I did say prisoners." IC: [Olari - The Spine] The rumbling of shifting earth alerted Olari to something behind her. She spun round, a pole already sliding out the pack...but dropped back into place when she saw it was Zakaro. She probably should have seen that coming really, the Onu-Toa had a habit of stepping in. The first time they'd met he'd pulled her away from the Bohrok creature. For someone who had apparently spent all his life down a mine he embodied all the more admirable traits of a Toa. "Well you might as well go and bust us a way in," she said, "Not like I could have done it quietly either." IC: [Venga - Engineering] "I like the sound of that! We shall go hunting, find all those willing to join our worthy venture." He started stalking off towards other regions of the facility. "What do you think, training sector first? Lots of people with pent up aggression ready to do something with it." IC: [Hollis - Sota Games] With no immediate threats in sight, Hollis began meandering on over towards Xara and the Macchas. If he was going to ask people to form up onto groups then he might as well be around to offer what advice and tips they needed before bowing out o the tournament
  5. Venga and Venix were going to head out on a quest, we should all join forces
  6. IC: [Olari - The Spine] "It was my suggestion to enter the prison, and I am one of the more mobile people here. I shall go," Olari announced, "Besides, I was given charge over creating and directing this team and a good leader should not ask their troops to do anything they would not be willing to do themselves." Currents of magnetic energy carried her aloft, and she started floating through the air towards the Muaka's Den. While previously she had simply scanned right through the walls, now she was using her Akaku to look into them; searching for any structural rebar or pinnings, or even just ore content within the building's stonework that she could use. Whatever kind of entrance she made, it wasn't going to be subtle... OOC: You know, that impenetrable forcefield thing that stops people getting out of the Muaka's Den..is that going to stop people getting in as well? IC: [Hollis - Sota Coliseum] Well his blinding of the Skakdi didn't seem to have had much effect...but on the other hand he and the Fa-Toa were now talking rather than trying to break bones, so here was that. The Rahkshi was having success gathering others as well. Hollis smiled to himself, it was good to see saner heads prevailing IC: [Venga - Engineering] A snap of Venga's metal fingers broke the silence between him and Venix. "I have it! One of the gems! There must be one that could let us communicate cross-dimensionally! I say we assemble our own squad and go look for one or two, what do you say?"
  7. IC: Palma tutted as Flabbergaster laid his charge down on a bed, and went over to tending to the wounds of her newest patients. With her skill and power it wouldn't take her long to fix the three of them up. IC: The scene the escaping Rahkshi band found themselves in was indeed a picture ripped straight from a storybook. In one of Nynrah's evergreen forests, the rich scent of pine permeated the air punctuated only by the individual aromas of the wild flowers that had flourished in the clearing. The ragged leaves of the trees turned the shadows into a mottled carpet of fringes and threads, no sharp edges to be found. The sun was low in the sky and had coloured it in shades of orange, pink and scarlet. But the problem with fairytales is that sooner or later you run into the ogres. As Kat rested, as Hoto and Jayar enjoyed their newfound liberty, as Snake cast his paranoid glances, the group all began to notice the danger in the sky. There were two...blots. Thats was the only way to describe it. Streaks of bubbling blackness that dribbled through the air like whoever had painted the fruit salad of a sky had spilled their darkest ink. They were moving too, and disturbingly quickly, rocketing along like comets that absorbed rather than emitted light. Their ebon tails left little flapping petals of shadow in their wake, that fluttered around as though trying to scrape up and devour every scrap of light until being burnt up. There was only one type of creature in the whole universe that flew like that. And one of them was headmaster of the very school this Rahkshi band were running from. So why were two more Makuta heading on a direct course to Corpus Rahkshi...
  8. IC: [Turbo Vixen - Bionifight Exterior] "And I have trouble believing that, given where we are. No-one just finds themselves here, you end up on this island as a prisoner. Or a cultist. But either way you should know whats going on. So excuse me if I don't buy the clueless tourist shtick. And dude?" She revved her wheel a few times, "There is no way you'd get a dagger in my back." IC: [Olari - The Spine] "I also feel we must at least attempt to access the facility. The mission was to learn what we could and we learn nothing by just standing around looking at empty corridors." The Fa-Toa shrugged at Virse. "Sorry, but I think that means you're outvoted even if Zakaro sides with you."
  9. Hey Chumpu, Necrcybermancer, think the pair of you missed Hollis moving the light away from Thak's eyes. He's trying to help out Casanuva here
  10. Basically, yeah. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Given I think that would put her on a similar level as the likes f Shark and Subject then, approved Approved
  11. IC: When Draco reached Tridax's office, the Makuta was holding Sidonas aloft in a set of talons that has morphed from his hands, making a few first steps into poking at the kraata's mind. "Permission granted. I will seek to reward you and your compatriots who have aided me later down the line." Draco dismissed, he looked to Vitesse. "You have been accused of great crimes. Treachery and sabotage. I intend to read your mind to see the truth of this matter. Needless to say, this is not a request and your resistance will be seen as confession of guilt."
  12. IC: [Turbo Vixen - Bionifight Exterior] "Yeah, that didn't actually answer my question at all. I asked what you were doing not why you were doing it." She circled Fission again. Slower this time. Like a shark. A big, wheeled, two finned shark with wheel and a metaphor falling apart in its teeth. "See, we've got to be kind of careful around here. So when you say you're investigating I kind of need to know if that means you're using some kind of...I dunno, eyebeam or something to scan our defences." IC: [Olari - The Spine] "I can also confirm that there is no tap-dancing going on," Olari added, "Because, from what I saw, there's no-one there. Lot of cells, whole tunnel system under the ground full of them. All of them vacant. If there were prisoners here it looks like they were moved before we got here." She drew a pole from the arsenal on her back, slamming it on the ground with a ringing chime. "Question for the group," she said, having got everyone's attention, "How far do we take this investigation? We've taken stock of this complex from afar and it appears to be abandoned. We may be able to walk in and look for clues as we please. But we know the cultists are resourceful so there may be hidden traps. So...do we try to get into this prison, or do we fall back with what we have?"
  13. Then Numlef is also approved Well okay then. Just bear in mind that, as others have pointe doubt, it doesn't give you free license to boost him to level 2 whenever you want. Got to earn just the same Going to ask for clarification on how much stronger/faster/agiler Indominus Rahks here is than other Rahkshi. 1x5, same as size?
  14. Good to see a return of connectable sets like that, loved stitching the various castle sets of my youth together into a mega-fortress. Makes me tempted to get both this and the 6424 fort from 2009, link them up as well to create a full blown harbour
  15. I keep looking at the first letter of each line in case you're spelling something out
  16. OOC: He does indeed remember: However it doesn't alter the fact that he's a crotchety old hippy who thinks running into grappling reach of someone bigger and stronger than you, especially while possessing a useful ranged element, is a really foolish thing to do. He's grumpy Yoda and thinks you must have patience, padawan IC: [Turbo Vixen - Bionifight Exterior] Whoever this was, they apparently thought the big building of metal was more interesting than the mass graveyard or mysterious city or boggy forest. Which showed a certain amount of sense at least. Nose about all you wanted but do it in in the place least likely to murder you unawares. "Its weird, I can hear you dropping capital letters into 'investigate', so what exactly do you mean by that? Just have a general look around or is that some kind of actual power?" IC: [Olari - The Spine] "I'll give it a look then." Olari flew up again, poking her head up out of Xara's cloud cover. She turned to her Akaku again, needing its scoped and x-ray vision to scout the enemy facility. The broad lens of her mask didn't swell or bulge like a fish's eye when she did, nor did it shrink and pinch as a bird's beak. The only change was an almost imperceptible shifting of the rainbows that blossomed through her armour, her face sifting through all manner of shades and hues. "It kind of looks like a snail shell," she reported to her companions down below, "A hollow bit in the middle, with something looping around it all. But I can't seen anything like a door or gates. Not entirely sure how they get in or out of that thing..." There had to be some way of transporting prisoners in and out of the building, Olari kept looking round to see if there was some hidden entrance...
  17. I'd be a bit iffy about trying to wield a sledgehammer with one hand. Having been using one of late, I know I can lift them with one hand and swing them about with one hand, but I can't really get any decent accuracy or precision and I'm pretty sure I'm not getting as much power as I should be. To avoid hitting myself and to actually get a decent impact, two-handed is kind of better
  18. Approved Eclipse is approved, but are you sure you want to have someone at level one? Ipartsa is approved, but a quick question about Numlef; are those 'unusual traits' his bio mentions just the sapience and intelligence that every student has?
  19. IC: [Hollis - Sota Coliseum] "The first one. Get them to help us. Persuade them to come over here so we can operate as a unit." His words were a bit strained, focusing on keeping the darkness around Thak's eyes and not at a spot where Thak's eyes used to be, "United we can be strong, divided we shall be picked off one by one."
  20. IC: [Hollis - Sota Coliseum] The Turaga clacked his tongue as Casanuva went from banding around him to charging another competitor. "And here I thought he was showing signs of promise..." Together the three of them had seemed fairly formidable. Oh Hollis had no intention of getting through this round himself, he had no illusions about his own ability or lack thereof to navigate the mountains. He'd be too busy catching his breath to find help. But he did have some power, and he was going to use it as best he could. The Rahkshi still standing next to him could be useful, they were formidably tough and it could have links to the Brotherhood of its world that might be able to assist. There seemed to be two beings shouting colours around the place, probably useful to free a pair who were already a team, they'd have no trouble working together and maybe finding the rest of their teammates. Might as well keep the magnetic Toa, his reaction speed against the Skaki's attack demonstrated no little skill. As for the fifth...well, he was sure he'd spot someone. Now, to help out his chosen allies... "Excuse me," he said to Xara, "Would you mind trying to get those two over here?" He pointed at the Macchas Green and White, "I'd try to reach them myself but these old legs ain't what they used to be and I'm something of a target toddling around on them." While waiting for her to either reply or carry out his request, he looked over to Casanuva and Thak. Didn't look like it was going particularly well for the Toa. Tutting at the impatience of kids these days, Hollis used what power over light he had to force it away from Thak's eyes. Blobs of inky darkness sprung up on the Skakdi like a pair of eyepatches. Hollis was hoping afflicting him with blindness would give his enemy Toa a better chance to fight back
  21. IC: [Turbo Vixen - Bionifight Exterior] "I'll answer the second. This place is a something called Bionifight." She circled round Fission a couple of times, eying him up, "We've been stuck here for weeks, how have you not noticed the enormous building dropped in the middle of the island?" IC: [Hollis- Sota Coliseum] Hollis' expression turned sour as the fighting continued regardless. Bunch of hooligans! This battle was senseless and could be solved far more easily by other means! He tapped into the rock-shattering roar of a Kikanalo again... "I SAY!" he bellowed, a cone of sonic indignation rattling through the air towards the tussling trio of Agent 5040, Maccha White and Thak
  22. IC: "You both have my permission to leave, and my thanks for your assistance." Tridax waved a hand in a dismissive gesture at Grim and Sliver. His gratitude did not extend to treating them as equals, clearly. "Should your winged friend ever return with the one called Vitesse, I should be able to handle things myself. In the meantime I think i will deal with this one." He looked over at the sprawled form of Sidonas' kraata...
  23. IC: [Olari - The Spine] "X-Ray vision says its clear too." Olari came to a comfortable rest on the earth, feet kicking up a small puff of dust when she landed. This spot was going to be their base of sorts then. "So, Virse, you've been here before, what can you remember about its defences? Would help to have a rough idea of what we're looking for if we're going to see what we're up against." OOC: ...I cannot seem to make that quote box go away... IC: [Turbo Vixen - Bionifight Exterior] Whoever it was that she had found was apparently not in a chatty mood, and was just raising a weapon aggressively. "Yeah, guy, that ain't gonna work on me. Don't know if you noticed but I'm faster than you by a factor of, like, a million. Maybe a million and twelve. So how about you just answer the question, 'kay?" IC: [Hollis - Sota Coliseum] Right, as predicted everyone was going ahead and lashing out at each other. Exactly like their captors wanted them to. Well by Krom he wasn't going to stand for it! He stood up as straight as he could, coughed to clear his throat, and used his mask to tap into a certain bouncing, burly Rahi that also liked to make its home amongst rock and ravine, stone and cliff. "EVERYBODY LISTEN!" Hollis shouted out, voice given an assist with the sonic booms of a Kikanalo, "FIGHTING IS JUST WHAT THE BLAGGARDS WANT! IF FIVE PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED FREEDOM THAN I SUGGEST WE PICK AMONGST OURSELVES WHICH FIVE COULD BEST FIND THE REST OF US HELP IF GIVEN THE CHANCE!" He ended his plea with more coughs and few splutters for good measure. That kind of enhanced roar was really hard in the throat at his age...
  24. IC: [Hollis - Muaka's Den] The Turaga wasn't entirely sure what a Sota Games was, but there was no way it could be good. "I think I may have a way we can avoid any unnecessary bloodshed in the coming event," he said to Scriva, "I suggest we stick with each other if possible, watch each other's backs." IC: [Venga - Engineering] "That...sounds kind of impossible," Venga mused, "I've never even heard of cross-dimensional communication. Though I suppose if we're going to find it anywhere, here would be the place." IC: [Olari - The Spine/Muaka's Den] There! The arena Virse had mentioned! Having a bird's eye view on things was handy. Olari turned the needed corner and headed towards the compound they intended to scout. "I'm going to set us down now. Zakaro, telepath, if you could both please do some environmental scanning to make sure we're not awaiting any ambushes, I will be using my Akaku to try and spot anything." She put Zakaro down first. She wasn't sure if he needed contact with earth to sense things through it, but it seemed sensible to assume he did. She carefully lowered the Batarra Nui after that, trying not to test the mech's armour by simply dropping it IC: [Turbo Vixen - Bionifight Exterior] A metal disk, shining and bright, whirled in front of Fission, careening into the ground in front of his feet with enough force that half of it bit deeply into the earth. "Hee-eey there!" Turbo called out, revving around to Fission's right side, "Whatcha doin'?"
  25. IC: "You would be in no such thing." Palma dismissed Malattia's gesture with a wave of her hand. "It is my responsibility to see people are healed. I would be doing you a disservice if I were to not meet your requirements. Your courtesy and gratitude are appreciated though."
