  1. pre-ordered the reissues of Morbid Tales, To Mega Therion, and Into the Pandemonium by Celtic Frost
  2. https://pareidolon.bandcamp.com/album/apor-a I did the art featured in the digital booklet that comes with the download, somebody else did the cover
  3. he's busy being a lame nerd who records actual music and releases actual albums (of which I may have done album art) now so he'll probably have a lot to say on this topic
  4. I will pay you five bucks via PayPal if you promise to never use the phrase "red-pill" on this website again.
  5. I mean, that's probably because nobody's really talked about gear in general on BZP in recent times. plus, yknow, the topic's dead. I'm like 99% sure this type of discussion was intended for that topic when it was originally approved. sidenote I miss Shard, I feel like he and I would get along really great nowadays sidenote sidenote I can get Xin's butt in here
  6. guys listen to Futility Report by White Ward it's basically black metal + post-metal + jazz and it's incredible
  7. I feel like The Official Music Topic would suffice perfectly well for this type of discussion, but I could be wrong.
  8. Isn't Anything, m b v, and EPs 1988-1991 by My Bloody Valentine; Kelle Surut Soi by Havukruunu; and Futility Report by White Ward
  9. "The Mephistopheles of Los Angeles" - Marilyn Manson
  10. 4/5 - pretty nice, catchy alt-rock. kinda reminds me of Letters to Cleo, especially in the vocals.
  11. that gum you like is going to come back in style.

    1. Erasmus Graves

      Erasmus Graves

Where I come from, the birds sing a pretty song.

  12. the Original Album Classics box set by Slowdive; Infrared Horizon by Artificial Brain; Prisoners by The Agonist; Gnosis Kardias (Of Transcension and Involution) by Inferno; After Laughter by Paramore; Burst by Brutus; and It's My Life, Spirit of Eden, and Laughing Stock all by Talk Talk
  13. 5/5 - it's Talking Heads. that's it that's all I need to say
  14. 2/5 - the only thing worse than cheesy generic power metal is a cheesy generic power metal ballad also lol @ saying the punk song is too rough around the edges and needs refinement (sidenote: Johnny Truant, I know you're viewing the topic. you should listen to the last song I posted)
  15. 2.5/5 - this band really needs to stop forever writing the same generic power metal song over and over again
  16. if they hypothetically signed to a larger label instead of some tiny obscure one, I've long thought Spinefarm would be a good fit and an obvious choice. that label's been shifting more and more towards the mainstream and Cryoshell would fit in pretty well amongst their other recent signings stylistically, not to mention Cryoshell's first album was produced by Jacob Hansen who has produced a lot of stuff released on that label. Napalm Records and Mascot Records would be second and third guesses, for similar reasons (Mascot in particular has signed Danish bands in the past, including Volbeat whose entire catalog was produced by aforementioned Jacob Hansen).
  17. year got off to a slow start imo but it's finally hitting its stride. The Assassination of Julius Caesar by Ulver (while not technically a metal album itself, I still consider Ulver a part of the metal scene), Infrared Horizon by Artificial Brain, Not for Music by Emptiness, Gnosis Kardias (Of Transcension and Involution) by Inferno, A Place Where There's No More Pain by Life of Agony, and Godless Prophets and the Migrant Flora by Darkest Hour are my favorite metal albums of the year so far and there's a lot I still haven't checked out. new Mastodon and Novembers Doom are solid, too.
  18. the fact that they suddenly found funding makes me wonder if they got a record label contract. if so, I have a few guesses as to who.

  22. Like a day without the dawn, like a ray void ov the sun, like a storm that brings no calm, I'm most complete yet so undone.
