  1. I already own an ISS from back when Lego had the NASA license, and I thought it worked better at a micro scale. Sets based off of sitcoms just do not seem that fun to me, regardless of whether or not I like the show. The one that I hope passes this round of reviews is the Zelda one. Since Zelda projects keep on meeting their goals, I hope that Lego will get that there is a lot of demand for them.
  2. I always love seeing prototype stuff. I hope Faber has some pictures of prototype sets. Good to see more '07 stuff. I really liked the design of a lot of the sets that year. Its too bad that I can't play with any of my '07 stuff without the fear of them crumbling into a pile of broken pieces.
  3. I'd rather Tahu did not lead. I'd prefer G2 to go in more new directions than retread old ideas. At the very least, he shouldn't become leader right away.
  4. Maybe Rahi are just creatures that were made by the Makuta, without any regards to intelligence.
  5. I also like to think that he just breaks out into a run when no one is looking. He could also have invented roller skates, and kept those secret from everyone else. His slow movements are just him practicing the right movements in order to practice skating when people are looking at him.
  6. I'd suggest MNOG too. If you can get your hands on them, the best way to experience the rest of the story is through the novels. Chronicles first, then Adventures, then Legends, and then the Super Chapter books. The one method I would NOT recommend would be to read the comics first. Read the comics after you have read the books. The comics do not resolve a lot of the plot lines that the books take care of.
  7. Breakout, though the subsequent waves after it are close second and thirds. I love that we got all the characters, and a few of the villains that year, such as Core Hunter, are really memorable designs. I think Savage Planet and Ordeal of Fire are tied for worst for me. It wasn't bad, and I do enjoy CCBS, but a lot of the sets looked the same and the head pieces used that year were easily the worst in both HF's and Bionicle's run.
  8. I thought that Onua grabbing the other Toa by their heads was hilarious. I would love it if he becomes the leader. I like how this episode establishes that their interactions and personalities are not exactly like their G1 selves, but they aren't too far off either. Gali sounds less awkward in a group. My only complaint is that "did your brain catch on fire?" does not nearly have a nice a ring to it as something along the lines of "fire spitter."
  9. I'm a bit sad to see Papercutz go. I am pretty sure that Ninjago was their best selling series (though I may be wrong), so its loss to them is somewhat major. Other than that, I can't wait for more Bionicle story. I think G2 has somewhat of a slow start (not that G1 had a particularly fast one either), and can't wait to see it pick up steam.
  10. The game was great as is. I wouldn't even be mad if it wasn't for the fact that they said that they were going to release the 3rd movie as DLC back when it came out.
  11. It kind of reminds me of a Bohrok because of its squateness and somewhat roundness. The canopy kinda looks like a the Bohrok's transparent forehead and the vents by it kind of remind me of a Bohrok's eyes. This is a pretty cool MOC. I like the little bits of asymmetry in the details.
  12. I've read quite a few of his Star Wars books, and even though it has been a while, I remember liking them, especially the ones that focused on one character's entire life. This is what I have been waiting for in Gen 2 (besides a full TV series). I really hope this adds some meat to the bare-bones Gen 2 story, and that it is successful enough to spawn more books.
  13. Elves seems really interesting. I'll try and make an effort to keep up with its story, if anything. But I have a big list of buying priorities to get through before I get to those sets. The Disney theme could benefit by including more characters besides the princesses. I think if a child just wanted a princess, their parents would buy a doll. Lego has an advantage that it can have a cast of characters included in a single toy as well as vehicles and settings. I just don' think the Disney line is making good use of that advantage.
  14. Yep, the link is broken for me too. I really like Snowball, but it is just a bit too overly transparent for me (I don't believe that it was that transparent in the movie). It could use some more solid blues and some glitter pieces to help break it up a bit more.
  15. I finally got Watch Disney XD working for me, so I got caught up on Rebels. It is definitely improving as it goes on. I kind of like that Rebels is taking place pretty much on one planet, but it could have been pulled off better. I like it because it is a way to have the cast of good guys and bad guys remain consistent in a relatively believable manner. I don't like that they kept the usually Star Wars trope of having the planet being one big biome. I think Lothal would be much more interesting if it were a more realistic planet with much more diversity, besides having city parts and plains parts. I am looking forward to the new movie, but I won't really give it too much attention until there is more information about it out there.
  16. The CCBS sets are a tiny bit overpriced for their piece count, but they look good to me (I especially like that they look good from the back, which is a thing that CCBS has been getting better about), and their are a fair share of new pieces, so after my Bionicle and Ninjago purchases, I'll try to pick them up.
  17. I was thinking that Skull Grinder might be Makuta too, but if that is the case I have mixed feelings about that. On one hand, I do not want the main bad guy to come up to the heroes' waists. On the other hand, I would want Makuta to come with his masks, especially the Mask of Control. I love how that masks looks like a mix between the G1 movie mask and a pharaoh's headdress, and it would be a disappointment if we were not able to obtain it.
  18. The normally smooth and round TIE cockpit looks really blocky, even for a Lego set, and this set has one of the worst piece to price ratios I have ever seen. Even if I could afford it, this would be an easy pass.
  19. I'll definitely try to pick up the dragons and the mech battle. I'd probably will not be able to get the new Destiny's Bounty if I want to pick up any of the other sets I want, which is too bad, since I really like some things they did with the set. I love that they include the ninja's hair as well as their masks, and I wish that this was standard across all Ninjago sets. One thing that I love about the Wu's Dragon set that wasn't pointed out was that it came with a crossbow-wielding dog. I find this hilarious. I hope that the Ninja Dog plays a big part in the show. I hope the flyers range does good and gets expanded. I wasn't collecting much when Ninjago first came out, so I missed out on the spinners. I hope that the flyers are a good way to expand my minifig collection. If BZPower ever does a review on the new Destiny's Bounty, I would love to see some comparison pictures with the original set.
  20. I like all the sets, but I have at least one major problem for each of them I don't like how 4-arms' mask is just a skull spider, which I already have 13 of. I don't like some of the new armor placement on some of the sets, which causes some odd areas to be strangely bulbous, like the knees. And I REALLY don't like the scorpion's tail. If they wanted a pincher mechanic, they should have put it on one of its claws. I also don't like that we aren't getting Tahu's or Gali's masks. All the Toa sets came with 3 masks, including the skull spider. They could have fit those in somewhere.
  21. On closer examination, I hope those are printed shells and not stickers. Vader looks like he's a full torso length taller than Tahu, which leads me to think his piece count will justify his price. I would like to know their actual piece count, just so I'd know that they aren't ridiculously overpriced compared to regular Bionicle sets.
  22. Wow, these actually look good, even Luke with his more human appearance. I was expecting a repeat of the Super Hero ones, but they actually added enough new parts to make them look good.
  23. I could think of some beneficial reasons for that mask to exist. Maybe the skull spiders aren't natural and were created along with the mask for it to control. Maybe the mask was originally used to control a bunch of drones to help with tasks. Or maybe it was created to help control a pest problem on Okoto.
  24. The first thing I thought of when I saw the masks was Tahu's infected Hau Nuva, so I think I'll go with the golden masks got corrupted somehow by the new villains. Maybe the Toa get de-powered sometime during the second half of the year. It wouldn't surprise me considering how fast they got the gold masks to begin with. On a slightly off topic note, I do hope that we recieve Tahu's and Gali's versions of these masks somehow. Maybe a promotion or something.
  25. If there is any connection between the two Gens, I think that all it will amount to is that some writer or story team member saying that Olmak travel between the two storyline is technically possible after being bugged about it one too many times. Though I do think that we will see more characters that have the same names as Gen 1 characters as this theme goes on. I don't personally believe many theories on this forum, even counting the ones I find interesting or I come up with myself, but I might invest a little bit of faith in this one.
