I feel sorry for him and everyone else with that condition.

I feel less sorry for him than for the parents-all he has is a brain stem. He has no idea that he has the condition because he can't think, he can't feel pain, because he doesn't have a full brain-I'm surprised he's one of the few with a full skull, although I might be mistaken.

But...still...caring for a child you know will never grow up to have thought or recognition of you, or anything like that...its a terrible thought.

Yeah, that is. Things like this make me sad.
