  1. My main issue with the sets of 2008 is that the Toa Phantoka and Toa Mistika bear absolutely no resemblance to the Toa Nuva or the Toa Inika (who were going to be the original 2008 protagonists).

If it had been a new Toa team, those sets would seem better. That said, the Toa Inika underwent a radical change from Inika to Mahri, so it would have made some sense for them to change a lot once more. :P

2008 is still right up there with 2006 and 2007 as one of my favorite years, though.

The Phantoka, mask wise, looked more like the Mata and Nuva than most other Toa. =P Weapon wise, Pohatu suffered, and overall Pohatu was the black sheep, but they were good. (Plus if you had Photek it was a quick swap to get the Kakama back to relatively normal shape)

The Mistika, on the other hand, only had Onua and MAYBE Tahu as having similar masks; we don't need to bring up good ol miss waffle eye, do we? =P

But overall, I liked 2008; it was a good year, and gave me my favourite sword for a while. =P

  2. You should try the demo for MH4U; if you don't have a code, there's probably people around here who have a spare one, or I could give you one. ^^

What you should be expecting, though, is absolute fun, especially if you surprisingly liked the MH3U demo(since that was terrible for newcomers to the series and veterans alike).

There are new things in this, like jump attacks, better mobility, mounting monsters, and two new weapon types; a ton more monsters than even 3U; a metric ton of armours and weapons and such; and it will probably take a ton of time, but will be amazing. ^^

  3. I got about a page into it before I realized I was going to need to do some actual reworking of the storyline to keep it from being a predictable repeat of the canon game. :P I have been giving some thought to it, though--the toughest thing is going to be finding a good reason for so many characters around Echo Ridge to get possessed when the protagonist isn't living there.

Or, maybe she'll just move there, transfer students are a tried and true trope

She doesn't even have to move; things just need to happen out of order. xP Because she was already hanging around Echo Ridge a bunch. =P

Though, after all of what happened through the Star Force series and anime, it's quite amusing to think about the fact that possibly Luna changes her savior crush to Sonia. =P

  4.

You have a Wii U, then? That's pretty cool! ^^

Hm? What? No. I wish, but I do not. Super Metroid for the Wii.

Oh, I thought... xD I thought it was all Wii U now for those. xP

Hm... I registered a bunch of my old DS games when I got a 3DS, and that was 2 years ago. It's worth giving a shot, I don't know when they expire.

DS games stopped being accepted last year. D=
  5. Wait... what is so 'New' about it? It looks exactly the same.

It has a 2x better processor, more RAM(forget how much, but it was discovered via one of the updates), a better 3D angle because it actually tracks your face, redesigned shell(again), uses Micro SD instead of normal SD, has a C-Stick(which emulates the Circle Pad pro), and is required for some enhancements.

It's like the DSi, except named worse. It also is pretty much just an enhanced revision, so it's still got the same video chip, and games are still focused on the plain 3DS, though there are some exclusive games like the N3DS port of Xenoblade Chronicles.

It also is only available in the XL here, which is stupid. >_>
