Ah yes, the ol' switcheroo...

Well... that's a fair point for the OG 3DS XL, but the New 3DS was only available in random bundles because the OG XL apparently sold better. (And because it was only in bundles it's a vicious circle...)

That's the only oddity, honestly. .-. It's possible one is like 'console' mode, and one is 'DS' mode, but now it's getting to sketchy speculation territory. Still...

Well, it's actually not that hard to keep them safe, and analog sticks tend to be surprising resilient; I've taken my Gamepad in my bag/backpack a few times between houses. And my XBox 360 controller is almost always in the front pouch of my backpack when I move it around, and that usually forces the stick up, but it still works well. Plus, those pieces are removable, so it could like, be stored separately or so. It'll work better than you think in bags. The biggest issue really -is- the screen...

I assumed it wasn't a touchscreen as I didn't notice it being used as such in the video, but I may have missed something. If they did show it using it as a touch screen, then ignore my prior comment while I weep in a corner.

 

And sure while there isn't some replacement spoken about for the DS Line, it would feel weird for Nintendo to abandon it. I mean it started with the gameboy, evolved into the DS, and now you have the 3DS... To be away with a system that has evolved more often than their consoles just seems weird. 

 

On top of that, the switch just seems too bulky to be a real handheld. I mean sure you could stick it in a backpack or a purse, or other such things, but I don't think on a good day it could ever reasonably fit into a pocket, and even it could you have those joysticks sticking out, and even in a satchel of sorts you run the risk of damaging the buttons and joysticks... 

 

Though I'm just being hopeful.. I'd hate to have to buy a likely expensive system just to play whatever pokemon game may come out for it when the DS Line is no more, especially when I just bought the newest version of the 3DS, thank god for QVC.

They didn't show it off directly in the video, but considering it seemed a lot like the Wii U tablet(which had a touch screen), and it's made in an age where touch screen tablets are seen in many, many places... It's a pretty logical speculation leap that it -is- a touch screen tablet.

Well, honestly, this seems more like Nintendo abandoning traditional console stuff rather than the other way around...

yeah, no, this isn't fitting in a pocket, that's the biggest thing against it. But, then again, on a devil's advocate side, the 3DS XL was pushing that too(Besides, purses and bags are arguably the best thing anyway, because with enough gadgets and things to carry you'll run out of pocket space anyway Dx)... But that's definitely an iffy part about this, and I'm curious whether there'll be a phone sized version eventually, running the same sorta architecture.

That's a good point too. Hmm... still, I'm cautiously optimistic about this. ^^

The whole thing seems to maybe be a touchscreen, though I haven't really seen any official word.

As for 3D, hmm, that is an oddity, but, I'm not sure what they'd do for a future 3DS anyway.

The only thing that I could see challenging the 3DS/DS line, is the fact that we've heard nothing about the thing that would replace the now 5 year old 3DS, and here we have something that's basically both a home console and a handheld...

Well... Ash Greninja also has a boost of 50 to each attack and 10 to speed... So it's kinda a bit useful above and beyond the Water Shuriken boost. =P

Poke Pelago is basically the Dream World 2.0...

Also, isn't Ash-Greninja's name just Greninja? I thought it was just the form's name that was 'Ash-Greninja'.

Huh, okay, legit didn't realize that was a thing, admittedly. That shows how often I actually read categories... somehow I read tags more. o-o

I can agree with the idea of moom being funny(if only because of the potoo), though I'm a bit iffier on the idea that stereotypes can be useful for humour. ^^;

If it's not a serious proposition, I won't take it seriously, though. xD

Add on to the fact that a bunch of that -isn't- how we actually speak? I can say 'about' just the same as the rest of the world, and everyone I know says about that very same way; I've only really heard the accents from like a handful of people, or more prominently, from TV things.

(And let's not get started on that other thing you said, which kinda... leaves people out.)

What I want to know is if Mega Evolution is coming back.  I don't expect them to be quite as prominent, but I'd still like them to be a thing.

Well... Take this with a grain of salt, but the trailer that first hinted Z-Moves had a pose that just had a burst of energy like Mega Evolution - and the new attacks seems to imply it gathers energy around itself, and then forces it out in one large attack...

And the crystals are held by Pokemon too, apparently, much like the Mega Stones...

it was the story and music that ruined everything for me in X/Y

 

and I have yet to get significant proof that either of those issues will be fixed

Well... we've heard some of the battle themes already; what are your thoughts on those? (Also, the gym stuff is starting to imply things might be more... involved?)

Oooh! I was wondering how much of a timeskip there was =O It does make more sense this time; especially if she's been working on relations in the process. Though, how does that affect the characters? Unless you're planning to go into detail on that during the story. ^^;

Yeah... I feel that was kinda a missed opportunity now that you mention it. =/ In general, the actual end result wasn't as cool as the earlier one where he basically was using his badge as a weapon itself, sadly. ;-;

To be honest, I don't see Ichigo pulling out the full potential of all of those powers. xD If only because that'd mean Kido, the arrows generated by the focus point he doesn't have, and so on. He might use Blut more, though... And I'd so welcome Fullbring back, because I actually liked that one. =/

Yeeeaaah, that part of it was the iffiest in my opinion; I mean, it's neat, but it feels it was only done because it's done after this.

that said, if he actually -uses- half the stuff that gives him, I'll be surprised... he barely uses half his Shinigami powers, and he used Hollow powers for like... one arc. xD

Yeah, that lack of foreshadowing is the biggest reason I feel the twist wasn't planned out that well, admittedly ^^' Though, I guess there kinda was a hint to it in that Uryu and his father were both left untouched, so the Shinigami had obviously missed one... but yeah, overall, not planned well =/

Also, oooh, that's interesting. =O And yeah, I've heard about some of the revelations, if they're related to when he got Dual Zangetsu... I'm iffy on that one myself, but it does make some semblances of sense in a way... just not really that well totally, if that makes sense?
