  1. I'm so excited to play this when I get home from work. (I'm on my dinner break right now) to those who have played, is there ccbs in the game? If not, maybe in a future update... Bionicle! That would be awesome.
  2. It really sucks that a trans mask for Gali, of all Toa, is so incredibly rare and hard to get but hey, whata' gonna' do? It looks amazing even though it doesn't match her color of blue. It's very reminiscent of Gali Mata, I love it.
  3. So I just got Kopaka and after unpacking the box, I realized the sticker sheet for his thighs was missing. I shook the box vigorously and flipped through the instruction booklet to no avail. I contacted LEGO's customer support and they should be sending a replacement soon. Has anybody had this happen before? I never have. On the set itself, Kopaka is pretty cool!(no pun intended) I really like how armored he is and I really like that he has a spear instead of a sword now and he really has a Spartan/Paladin vibe going on. I don't care for the way his shield is held but that's a simple fix. I'm really glad they used the Brain Attack torso for him, it just has more style and detail than the basic hero torso. I also like his shin guards. I know some people don't but to me they aren't any different from Tahu's bell-bottoms, they just run forward and backward as opposed to left to right. That kinda adds to the whole Yin and Yang thing going on with them that was discussed a few pages back. The build was pretty strait forward which is to be expected but I ate ice cream while building him so that kind of added to it.
  4. Doubted, but as long as DrScorpionX, JANGBricks, and TheThreeVirtues remain, there's hope. That would require the presence of a Mata Nui, surely? It's safe to say that Ekimu isn't a giant robot. or.... is he? Ekimu MU= Matoran Universe confirmed OH MER TOA! I heard that someone at Toy Fair said Mata Nui will return in this generation, just not like in G1. That would be great actually. I would have preferred Ekimu was actually Mata Nui but if he ends up existing in gen2 I would want him to be a god-like entity above Ekimu and Makuta.
  5. So now that I have LoSS built, I must say I like him more than I thought I would. The build was fun and very reminiscent of the 01' Rahi. Although he doesn't have much poseability, I'm ok with it, besides posing a creature with more than 4 legs is kind of a pain anyway. I would've preferred if he was a $20 set so he could be fleshed out in some areas but overall he is a good set and I really hope we get more Rahi builds in the future. Or at least more Rahi-like creatures.
  6. Breaking Benjamin because they're my favorite band. Aside from them, I loved All Insane Kids' songs for gen1. "Hero" and "Caught Up In A Dream" were awesome. No Cryoshell please. They were ok but I would prefer a different tone. I would also be cool with some mysterious, jungle-sounding music like we got in the earlier parts of gen1. I really like music from the animations so far with the wicked guitar riff and the 'epic hero adventure' style that is reminiscent of Marvel movies, so more of that would be great. I also really liked the whole 'Free the Band' thing with the Inika and the All American-Rejects. In fact, the became one of my favorite bands for several years as a result. 2006 was so awesome to me and was perfect for that time in my life: the combining of my 2 favorite things on this planet (Bionicle and Rock music). Heck, that still holds true today.
  7. I was just at Walmart an hour ago to buy LoSS and I saw the same exact thing! It was a pleasant surprise for sure. I usually only see these kind of displays at Target. They also had a display of the full line up of current Ninjago minifigs.
  8. I am so psyched about the Portal 2 pack! This could mean we may very well see a Portal set(s) in the future. My sister will be incredibly psyched about the Doctor Who one. I still really hate the whole toy/game thing and how you have to buy the sets to get the content as opposed to just buying the dlc, otherwise you have a very bare bones excuse for a video game which I'm worried will set a very bad precedent for a gaming industry that all ready has enough bad precedence. That being said, I will probably still get a pack or 2 if the game is actually good. This kind of stuff is just too dang expensive!
  9. The new images of the skull gang are nice and the info is even nicer. I'm kind of sad that they don't seem to be a horde-like enemy but rather nameless individuals(yet again *sigh) but that isn't for certain. I am pretty intrigued by the combiners, particularly the multiheaded one. I do kind of like how each one is guarding a particular area as is shown on the packaging. It makes me wonder if the Toa will decide to split up and search the city as opposed to going to each location as a team. It would make sense if there was only one skull villian in each location, otherwise they would just demolish each one individually. Hopefully the skull villains will put up a good fight and be interesting characters as opposed to being mindless zombies. I am expecting a villain team up at the end to fight the Toa as a unit, with LoSS joining for a big epic battle of good vs evil at the end of the year. The info on Skull Slicer makes me like him even more. A fallen combatant in a gladiatorial 'arena' of sorts also the first mention of that location as well as the first reference to some sort of past time for the matora-- I mean villagers.
  10. The artwork and sets are amazing, the story is a bit light right now and the animations are really lacking, but are growing on me now that the Toa are all together, though I really want cg animations again, I loved those so much in gen1. What I really, really hate about gen2 is the generic 'names' they are giving all characters except the Toa, Ekimu and Makuta. Names for places would be great also. 'protector of fire' and 'region of jungle' doesn't cut it. Would it have killed them or actually hurt sales any to call them 'Vakama' and Le-Koro/Wahi? As a kid, (I was 8 when Bionicle came out), the world building and terminology is what really drew me into the theme, not just the sets-- but everything surrounding them. That's what made Bionicle a gamble for LEGO, they tried to build a world and story with their toys, kind of like what Hasbro did with Transformers. It worked and was awesome so I don't see why they didn't do that again. I also really hate how silly they are portraying things so far. Gen1 had a more serious/mysterious tone with humor here and there without it feeling out of place.
  11. I agree. Although the sets themselves are what got me interested back in gen1, the story is what kept me interested. I sure hope the story really opens up this summer and we get more substance, like with the books. There needs to be more named characters and more substance to those characters. Also I would like more recolored masks in a variety of useful colors, not necessarily mask-pack-like, but used in future sets.
  12. Matoro. His death hit me right in the feels. I almost went with Kopaka but he could be a real jerk at times.
  13. The movie soundtracks are amazing, also "Hero" and "Caught Up In A Dream" by All Insane Kids from 2005 are my jams. Great stuff right there. The soundtrack for the Gameboy version of Bionicle Heroes is also fantastic.
  14. Yeah I suppose so. Btw I want mask packs more than ever now. I want Lewa's mask in black so bad.
  15. So I just got Lewa and I love him. He was always my second favorite Toa, Onua being the first, and the same holds true for gen2. His mask is easily my favorite though, I love the scale armor look. It's unfortunate his head can't turn very well but the position of his gearbox looks too good to change and I really dig how the kaiju claws look on his shoulders, reminiscent of a puffy collar or a python wrapped around his shoulders. I really like the axe blades and although the sword pieces have been used for a few years, I'm always happy to get more. They are such great pieces. I'm still quite impressed with the chest prints. They manage to simultaneously look tribal and high tech --not an easy feat. Of course, I would have preferred lime or trans apple green instead of keetorange but it still looks nice and works well since he is now basically a Toa of the Green.
  16. I was referring to the pof about the elbows thing. Also poseability is a very important part of play so it is very relevent for both collectors and children. I know as a child I wanted toys i could bend and move because solid hunks of plastic were severely limiting on the imagination of the play experience. I get pohatu is the "desert wanderer guy" But even Lewa has shoulder armor of sorts that breaks up the standard hero build While simultaneously conveying the lightly armored style.
  17. Pohatu would be better if he had some kind of shoulder armor, seeing as he is the only one without any. Also, elbows are an absolute must. Trying to pose a set without elbows--or elbows that don't bend-- is a chore.
  18. Incredible work sir! You never fail to impress.
  19. As for Onua 2008, he is winning because he is nothing like his original two forms. That is to say, hunchbacked and stocky. That doesn't make him an uglier or worse set. Tahu and Gali were horrendous and had reversed Piraka torsos.
  20. 2001: Pohatu, he didn't have weapons and the upside down torso looked terrible to me. 2002: Kopaka Nuva. The mask was ugly and I wasn't impressed with his ski blade sword-thing and the way his shield was attached was terrible. 2008: Tahu hands down. He was an abomination. His glaive-shield-thing was terrible, his reverse torso was terrible, his mask was terrible, his rockets on his torso were terrible and made no sense. I'm really surprised Onua is the highest in this category considering he had a solid torso and cool mask as well as sensible rocket placement and a cool shield arm and two-handed cannon. Heck, Gali was the second worst with that terrible mask and reversed empty Piraka torso.
  21. S: "I am Takanuva..." R: "Toa of Light!" Here's another S: "The Toa squabble like..." R: "Gukko birds over a berry." We should totally make a poll and somehow get an official BZP Shibboleth!
  22. More story and media honestly. I would really like Bohrok 2.0 though. Also a console game, that would be great.
  23. Those Easter eggs are beautiful. It is odd that Lewa and Kopaka's are the only ones that are 'upright'. I want those pedestals too.
  24. Yeah, for shame BZPower, for shame! I know, I was disappointed. Eurobricks still did something at least.
