  1. So do I! I just thought it was normal...
  2. So I had an idea, what if we kept the current Toa the way they are for the next wave and the 2016 wave of villains came with special armor pieces to attach onto the Toa, keeping the current Toa sets relevent while adding a collectibility to the villain sets instead of masks or Skull Spiders. "Collect the golden armor to power up your Toa!" For example, the Earth villain would have special gold armor for Onua to power him up, kinda like what they did in 2010 with the gold armor but in this case one villain set has all the armor for the corresponding Toa. I thought of this while looking at Onua and curious about why they bothered to give him half-pins in his shoulder armor and hammer. A special gold plate that fit onto his shoulder pads could also be put on his hammer and chestplate to "upgrade" him without the need to make an entirely new set. This way, 6 of the set "slots" for next year won't need to be needlessly filled by "Toa 2.0", opening up more possibilities for new characters/creatures.
  3. You can obviously tell its just an aerial view of the Ancient city the Toa are heading to for the winter wave, it even has the bridge leading to the city. It's really cool they kinda made it a homage to the original design for Mata Nui and I hope we get this in English soon. Could someone translate the text? Hopefully we get more stuff like this to flesh out the lore a little better. See:
  4. I reeeaally want a Bionicle show akin to Ninjago. A CGI show, not the silly Mixel-style cartoon short videos we have now. I wish we had comic books again but I know that that sadly won't happen but a cgi show and/or movie(s) would make me very happy. Also a good console game would be awesome.
  5. I liked them. I have the Visorak Battle Ram and the Tower of Toa from 2005, the Lava Chamber Gate and the Race for the Mask of Life sets from 2006, and the Toa Terrain Crawler from 2007. I loved the playsets as we were able to get epic battle scenes and vehicles at a larger scale that would not work for constraction. The only thing I didn't like was in 2007 where the minifigs had recolored heads for heroes and villains, it looked terrible. The sets themselves however, were great. I would be very surprised if we get anything like that this time around. The playsets were quite expensive and I don't think they were well received. The Visorak Battle Ram is still by far my favorite, just a beautiful set that fit very well with Bionicle. The Terrain Crawler was also an epic set and I love that it was used in the promo video for the Mahri, I'm still kinda sad it wasn't better utilized in the story. I used it in quite a bit of artwork at the time featuring the Toa Mahri.
  6. Skull Grinder v Mask Maker hands down. Basher will likely be next, followed by slicer, then warrior and finally scorpio.
  7. If only the media for gen2 reflected this... sigh. Instead we have very childish, silly animations and dumbed down story(thus far), and simplistic app game. I sincerely hope that gen2 gets a console game, though even Ninjago with all its popularity only has 3ds games(sadly) so I expect a 3ds game at the very least but probably not until year 2 or 3 so it has plenty to work with.
  8. This is an excellent moc and an excellent dragon! Not to mention impressive given the piece limitations. This should totally be an official model.
  9. A lot of good entries but I had to go with the Nui-Jaga.
  10. The thing about the artwork is they have released a lot of jaw-dropping awesome pieces of concept art, I just wish those were better utilized.
  11. I went with #1. I loved Jaller Mahri and this is a great homage. The only thing I dislike about it is the sword. #4 is a great moc but it looks nothing like the previous incarnations of Mata Nui. #5 is a great moc of Nuju but it doesn't look like it belongs in gen2.
  12. It was between #2 and #3 but I had to go with #3. The use of the pedal pieces, although blue rather than green, worked really nicely.
  13. #3 and #4 were close but I had to go with #10, I was really impressed the first time I saw it and it fits so perfectly in Gen2.
  14. I had to go with #8, best Roodaka moc I've ever seen.
  15. #2 since it's mine XP thank you to all those who voted for the Heat Vision Rahkshi!
  16. Hands down, 7 is the best episode. Overall, I have NOT been impressed with the animations but this one is better than the previous six combined and I was looking forward to it since they were leaked in other languages. If this is any indication of what the animations will be like from now on, I will be happy. The interactions of the Toa are perfect, though I think Kopaka and Pohatu's personalities should be switched but it's not a big deal and I really like Pohatu's attitude and accent. Onua is spot on and I love him, Gali is quite good and Lewa is hilariously indifferent. Tahu I won't discuss as we have had plenty of time to get to know him.
  17. I sure hope we get some crazy news soon, cause this topic has gone off the rails and people are bickering over nonsense. So is anyone else here fans of Warframe and have been calling Onua, Tahu and Kopaka, Onua Prime Tahu Prime and Kopaka Prime? I've been playing Warframe since open beta (Excalibur Prime for the win!) so maybe it's just me but they are totally Prime Toa, amiright?
