  1. Prepares a special ops team... ~SB~
  2. I've thought that and I hope the defense isn't doing that, but I doubt it. How I know? You'll have to trust me. Also, the defendant has admitted that he took the pony home to groom it, etc... However, I'm going to pursue if the defendant actually had permission to take the pony home... Hmm... That'll be difficult because there's only three students in my class (small school) and 2 defendant/defending lawyer and I am the prosecutor. So, my teacher is everybody else (the judge and the witnesses) and he is making all of the witnesses difficult (and silly people) to ask. One person is an old man who is nearly deaf, another is a weird 20 year old girl, and the defendant's father who says "no" to every question... ~SB~

    I Has Bl10!

Well congrats! I'll be (hopefully) joining the ranks of BZPers with the book this weekend. So... ha! ~SB~
  4. Hmmm.... Sounds interesting and I just might do one. A short story right? Like about a few pages on Word or whatever? I already have an idea of what to write, though it may not be the best. ~SB~
  5. No... Not the fourth Indy movie. Actually, I need someone to send me over PM a text copy of "The Kingdom", y'know, the short story with Takanuva and everything. I tried to do it on www.Bionicle.com and I tried to download it, but it's a PDF file and I don't have one on my computer. Not enough memory... Anyways, I would really like it if someone would PM me a text copy. Free cookies to whoever does so! ~SB~
  6. Well, the first game of the Stanley Cup Finals in hockey is done and over with. The score is 4-0 with the Detroit Red Wings coming out ahead and they lead the series against the Pittsburgh Penguins 1-0. If you want an unbiased report and statistics on the game, then you might as well go to another topic. This is Penguins territory... The game was interesting and I personally thought that the Penguin performance basically sucked (emphasis on "sucked"). They weren't aggressive and physical enough and the Pens let the Red Wings beat them up... Jeez, that's what Laraque is for! Use him please! In the next game, I would like to see the Penguins be more physical and aggressive. Instead of three players attempting to score in the Red's territory, try four. That'll make a difference in controlling the puck. Also, start body-slamming their key players more often but not to the extent where it would cause a penalty (just do what the Red Wings did to us tonight). The traditions I saw on the ice were really annoying and pointless. "The Ceremonial Puck Drop"??? Use that time for something more useful like airing the "Star-Bangled Banner" on TV or something. The squid... just plain creepy. Ehh... at least they were interesting to see anyways. That's all I have to say for now and I'll sign off in a different way tonight. LET'S GO PENS ! !! ! ! !
  7. :Shoots TtW: Now that's 101! Are you happy now? ~SB~
  8. Mine's in the Oi! Brigade Signup Entry. Go look for it if you want it (page 2). ~SB~

Pittsburgh Penguins FTW! Take that Philadelphia! ~SB~
  10. Wow... I haven't updated this blog in a loooong time. Well, I'll let you read this entry as I sweep up the cobwebs. About the set review I told you about, I won't post it yet since I'd rather download it straight to the computer instead of texting it to my email address (which takes forever). However, don't fret, I'll get the review written and posted as soon as I get a microSD chip for my cell phone camera and a card reader for that. So, that'll take some time. Also, I'm thinking about getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh!. Why? Well, there's a new structure deck released though it's been out for a while that I haven't bought any copies of and I recently found the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Topic (hopefully, no flamers reach this one ). So, do you guys think I'm making a good choice or a bad one and please describe a little on your reasons. I think I'm going to buy the cards again anyways but I just wanna see your opinions. Thanks, ~SB~
  11. Pretty cool and for those who haven't figured it out, it's actually a (really early) Makuta Chirox prototype. How do I know? Read the Matoran font. Never mind the above, didn't see Dalek's post above but that confirms it anyways. Thanks a lot Binky! ~SB~
  12. You bring up interesting points Greg. Personally, I think the reason everybody is calling Tuyet "evil", "tyrant", etc... is because we are used to seeing Toa clearly fighting for the "light". You know, the non-killing code and protecting Matoran. Now, we see Toa acting like soldiers and military police - destroying organizations, opposing law and order, shoot first and ask questions later (if they ever do ). Is it just me, or does Dark Mirror have a moral lesson? Wow.... Of course it is. About the first comparision: An organisation - if there is evidence that it is evil - has to be destroyed, of course, but killing its members should be avoided, and they should be imprisoned instead. Since the Makuta obviously can leave their armor at any time and possess a new body, it might make sense to seal them in Protodermis, like Teridax 1000 years ago in "our" universe. If there's no other choice, that's a different thing of course, but it doesn't look that way... About the second comparision: I wouldn't like our state to observe me and all the other people, just because there might be one or two potential terrorist somewhere in their country... That's nonsense. A few weeks ago, there was a scandal in Germany, when some people found out that Lidl, a chain of stores, hired detectives and installed cameras to observe their cashiers and all the other people who worked for them (and customers, of course)... About the third comparision: I can't really say anything against or in favor of this, since an important information is missing: Will the Dark Hunters simply be unable to do anything bad anymore after that (in prison, for example)? Or will they themselves will be smashed, just like their operations? ;P I think that both things you suggest are correct. In my opinion, Tuyet - and all politicians who would act the same way in the first two cases - indeed trys to keep peace... in an evil and corrupt way. Other people might think different, of course... You have a point about avoiding killing people of organizations and instead imprisoning them. That's the right thing to do in my opinion but let me compare that to a police officer fighting with a suspect. The first thing any police officer would want to do is subdue the suspect so that they can capture them but however if the suspect is a madman with a AK-47. Well then, you're going to have to pull out your rifles and shotguns... Kind of the same thing with Toa. If they can form a team of six Toa with different elements to take a Makuta or two down but what happens if they don't have the right number or combination of Toa in the team? That's the point where you will have to use lethal force unfortunately. This is just my opinion. ~SB~
  13. Well, I'll help. If you would like a suggestion to how best to do this operation, PM me. ~SB~
  14. Looks good! I'll pass it on to my teacher tomorrow during computer class. Thanks! ~SB~
  15. Hey blog readers, I need some help. For computer class we got some photos off of the internet for a project but after we did that, my teacher asked my class about if we knew of any good photo hosting websites. I knew of three and my teacher knew of one of them but not the other two. So, to help us expand our knowledge of good photo hosting websites, I want to see if you BZPers knew of any other websites. The ones we have: Flickr (the one my teacher has heard of)majPhotobucket So that's what we know of. Any other good ones you guys know of? Please only suggest websites that are appropriate for BZPower since it will definately be appropriate at my school. Also, don't suggest brickshelf since that only has Lego images. Thanks, ~SB~ By the way, I'll have a Pohatu and Photok review for you guys sometime this week or next week, but not definitely this weekend since I'm going out of town for my baby cousin's baptism. Expect the Photok review first.
  16. I am a bit worried about the Metru gray and Metru red together... I originally hoped for and later intended Mata red, but I am trying to be realistic and when designing these revamps I realized exactly how many parts would have to be introduced if I intended to give him a vibrant Mata Red color scheme. No matter where I place this on the release timeline (Currently I'm designing them as if they were released alongside their teammates in place of the Phantoka Makuta), there would be many new Mata Red parts called for, an almost unreasonable amount. I am planning to use the Mistika-style wings, actually-- If LEGO were to release these, they would naturally have new parts as their forms of propulsion. However, I intend to distribute such propulsion parts as evenly as was done among the Nuva Phantoka, so Tahu will have wings but not jets, Gali will have jets but not wings, etc. Not sure what to give Onua for his means of propulsion, as I'm quite inclined to give Gali the jets given their similarity to her old propellors from the 2002 release. Solek's mask has struck me as a Hau Nuva since I first opened the set, and I love it as such. Regardless of whether other people see it as well as I do, I hope there will be a reasonable concensus that it is a better Hau Nuva than that in the set. I also am very happy to use it since it bears much resemblance in overall shape and some more minor details to Tahu Mistika's mask, a convenient means of transition between the forms in my drawings. Glad you find my ideas interesting. As soon as I can finish conceptualizing Onua I will have a good idea of what parts each of these three Phantoka will have, and thus should have a pretty good image of them in my head unless the new parts for summer prove to be inconvenient for any of my plans. Color scheme: I agree with you about the Metru red and Metru gray. I'm a little nervous now ever since I saw the disaster that was the Kopaka Phantoka prototype - you know with the Mata blue and Metru gray... If it means anything to you, I made a standard Toa Moc when I was younger and it the colors were Metru red and the really light gray. Almost silver - you know what I'm talking about? Also, if you want a good supply of Mata red limbs, I would pick up a Maxilos or two, if you don't mind the old style clashing with the rest of the new ones. Propulsion methods: So, you're saying that Tahu will have the smaller Mistika wings? If so, I'd like to see how that turns out. I think you made a good choice by giving Gali jets. By the way, will you still keep her Inika lower legs or will you change them? Maybe you could give Onua a simple hover/surf board? Like you could attach two Hewkii blades together sideways so it looks like a wide broadsword using the (+oo+) pieces (that's what they look like from the top). Then, you could attach a Mistika jet or two or a Lewa jet. Tahu's Mask: I see why you prefer a Solek mask for Tahu. I see that they both have a lot of ridges around the mouth and there is a mouth hole (well two of them ) but a mouth hole nonetheless. So, how are you going to color it dark red? Acrylic paint? Spray paint? That's the tricky part. So, are you building prototype models so you get a feel for how the existing pieces look together or are you "building" it in your head? ~SB~
  17. Hmm, your vision of Tahu Phantoka is pretty interesting. I would like to see how Metru gray and Metru red look like together so (if you do that) please take nice clear pictures because I'm really interested in how the color scheme looks. I see that you would like Tahu Mistika resemble and be a Phantoka, and that what I'm trying to aim for in my revamp but I want him to still have some Mistika traits like jets, fins, etc... I would have to disagree with you about using Solek's mask as a Hau Nuva. It doesn't show Tahu to me and I would actually prefer a thinner version of the official Hau Nuva. I can't wait to see your revamp because you have some really interesting ideas. ~SB~
  18. I know it's pretty much decided now, but Argy. ~SB~

    You're back! ~SB~
  20. Kinda... Well, I know you BZPers have read many set reviews of the Phantoka and their Matoran counterparts, but I was wondering, what set would you like me to review so you can get another opinion on it? Also, I'd be willing to review Toa Ignika if you would prefer a review of him, but I would rather not do a review of Mutran & Vican, Antroz & Radiak, Lewa & Tanma, and Icarax. So, please, say which set would you like me to review. Free cyber-cookies for anyone who gives a suggestion! ~SB~

    Old Sets

If you can, I would buy some of the larger sets since they have interesting recolored pieces. Also, if you can get the Manas, Tarakava, Exo-Toa, etc... those would be really good additions to your collection. ~SB~

    Surprise!

Oh, congratulations! Remember that if you are either 3rd baseman or shortstop, you get a lot of balls your way. Remember that. ~SB~

    Onions

For the next few days, I will hate onions with a passion. Why? Well, I think sorting the good onions from the rotten ones and then repackaging them had to do with it. First, lemme tell you the whole story. Today, I went on a school field trip to a large food bank that provides food to people who are in desperate need of it. For those who don't know, a food bank is a place that accepts donations of all kinds of food and redistributes it to homeless shelters, food pantries, and soup kitchens. Anyways, my school is having a food drive and the food we receive is going to go to the food bank we visited (and that's why we went there in the first place). Originally, we weren't going to do any volunteering (packing food), but something came up and we had an opportunity to volunteer. The older kids went on the packaging floor since you have to be above 12 to do that and the younger students went and labeled boxes in another room. Since I was older than 12, I got to go on the packaging floor to repackage onions. We had to repackage the onions because the food bank recieved its onions in large bags with about a hundred or so onions in each and we had to take the "good" ones out and put them in smaller bags while we threw out the rotten ones. For sanitary reasons, we all wore disposable gloves like the one your dentist might wear while examining your teeth. Thank you since I touched some pretty nasty onions that were black and mushy and others had what looked like a fungus on it. Eww. For your info, we threw out more onions than we repackaged. That's how bad the onions were. Anyways, we got the job done and after that, we took a tour around the warehouse. Very interesting things there. I saw a machine that was designed to crush hundreds of cans of food that were dented or expired into relatively small cubes. Wonder where the juice in the cans went? Well, they are drained out of the machine into large barrels and mixed with other unusable food and given to pig farmers in the area as pig food for free. Well, that pretty much sums up my trip to the food bank. Please feel free to ask any questions and give any comments. Also, I'm glad I ate my lunch before I went there... ~SB~
