  1. I got one at one point, but I only used it for a couple of days and it's been collecting dust since. There really isn't anything exciting about Twitter.
  2. And another, since you should have had this a while ago.
  3. I braved the somewhat slippery roads earlier to day to go to Toys R Us and pick up some of the series 3 minifigs. They had a bunch there. I ended up using both the dot chart and feeling the bag to find the figs I wanted. I hadn't realized how faint the dots were so I almost thought that case was defective. Toys R Us had the price $4 per minifig, but I ended getting them for $3 each, since they were having a buy 1 get one 50% off. I got lucky and found an elf almost right away. I also got an alien, a baseball player, and a sumo. The sumo I really wanted since I wanted one of the trophies and I missed the karate master from series 2.
  4. Number 4 is a good font, I used that back when I was F=ma. I like your current font and color though.
  5. The only problem with that is that dividing by zero isn't a legal math operation. However, even if it was, 3 divided by 0 wouldn't have an answer, not even "everything." 6/3 = 2 --> 6 = 2 x 3 3/0 = ? --> 3 = ? x 0
  6. If you're already running a version of Linux, you know more then I do. I tried running OpenSUSE earlier today, but I wasn't too impressed. I still like Ubuntu better. I guess if you haven't already tried using Ubuntu, burn a cd you boot from so you can try it without changing your hard drive.
  7. I got the 2010 Linux Bible from library earlier today. It came with a couple of discs so I decided to try live booting a couple different versions of Linux. Both of the versions I tried seemed pretty nice. Everything worked right away, including my usb mouse, so that was a relief. It was pretty similar to the UNIX systems that I've been using at the university for Computer Science Lab, so the difference from Windows wasn't as shocking. I might consider ditching Windows 2000 for Linux at some point, but I'll have make sure I'll be able to get my stuff working with it.
  8. Normally I don't get caught up in all the Black Friday shopping madness, however this year I've managed to complete all my Christmas shopping. I ordered my mom's and my brother's presents off of amazon, and I picked up a CD for my dad this morning. It's probably been five or six years since I've actually gone shopping on Black Friday, but my brother and I went up to Target at about 7:30. We got pretty lucky, since my brother was able to snag the second-to-last Nerf Raider that they had on sale for $19. They also had one of the 1TB external hard drives left that were on sale for $69. I passed on that though, since I already have one. I also went over to the local Pawn America and picked up 7 cd's for $1 each. I also got Arcade Fire album amazon had on sale for $2, but I technically didn't pay anything for it, since while I was browsing, there was a link that showed up on the side bar offering a $3 mp3 credit.
  9. What OS are you running and how far does the start-up get? Have you added or removed any programs recently?
  10. I'm not worried about that happening, I'm more worried about a car sliding into me when it can't stop because of ice on the road.
  11. Yesterday, I got some freezing rain. The roads got pretty slick, so it was nice not having to go anywhere. It was still sprinkling a little bit when I went to class this morning. The main roads were pretty good, but any side streets were pretty icy. When I tried to turn into the alley where I park, I ened up sliding right past the turn. I stepped on the brakes with light pressure and the wheels instantly locked up, and I started sliding. I ended up going around to the other entrance, which was also icy, but a little bit more passable. Now it's snowing out. Not too much anymore, but it was coming down pretty decently when I went to work earlier.
  12. Where are the hair and the torso from? I don't remember seeing those before.
  13. I wish I had been able to meet you too, maybe I'll have to come out the west coast for one of the LEGO conventions in couple of years so we can hang out.
  14. I haven't been assigned yet, but even if I'm not given LGD, I'll still be posting there regularly. I know, I'm not sure which way I want to change it though. Another notebook paper image, or formatted text? It's probably a good thing that I'm not looking for glamor. If I was, I probably wouldn't have stuck around here long enough to get to this point.
  15. Wow, I was not expecting this. I guess I've been doing something right though. Otherwise Black Six probably never would have noticed me. The promotion topic is very reveling however, since it looks like there are quite a few people who have never heard of me. I'm not surprised though, since I mainly hang out in LGD, which isn't the most active forum. I also have the lowest post count of any current staff member. I'm not sure it's the lowest at a promotion though, since there are a couple of people who may have had less then me when they were promoted. Also, this is probably the best post in the promotion topic.
  16. How many times can I push it aside? Is it time I befriended all the ghosts of all the things that haunt me most? So they leave me alone, move on with my life Be certain the steps of left and right, don't fight the direction of upright ~~~ I'd rather forget and not slow down Than gather regret for the things I can't change now If I become what I can't accept, resurrect the saint from within the wretch Pour over me and wash my hands of it ~~~ It's time to decide, she's out of my mind 'Cause it'll be me unless I put some thoughts To rest and leave some faults behind I'll watch the glint in my eye, shine off the spring in my step And could be blinding depending on the amount of you that I reflect ~~~ 'Cause I could spend my life just trying to sift through What I could've done better, but what good do what-ifs do? Oh, oh, oh, oh, there's something I should tell you now ~~~ I'd rather forget and not slow down Than gather regret for the things I can't change now If I become what I can't accept, resurrect the saint from within the wretch Pour over me and wash my hands, pour over me and wash my hands ~~~ 'Cause I could spend my life just trying to sift through What I could've done better, but what good do what-ifs do? Oh, oh, oh, oh, there's something I should tell you Oh, oh, oh, oh, there's something I should tell you now ~~~ I'd rather forget and not slow down Than gather regret for what I can't change now If I become what I cannot accept, resurrect the saint within the wretch ~~~ I'd rather forget and not slow down Than gather regret for the things I can't change now If I become what I can't accept, resurrect the saint from within the wretch ~~~ I'd rather forget and not slow down Than gather regret for the things I can't change now If I become what I can't accept, resurrect, resurrect Pour over me and wash my hands, pour over me and wash my hands of it
  17. I'll have to call up my local Toys R Us. I missed the last wave so I'm not going to let this one slip through my hands.
  18. I realized that as of today I've had my drivers license for about 1 year. It isn't exactly, but we sorted popcorn for the Boy Scout fundraiser so I'm going to count it as one year.
  19. I'm taking college level physics right now. And it's pretty fun. I'm going to take Calculus this spring, but I can't register until Tuesday.
  20. My library finally purchased The Small House Book by Jay Shafer, which is weird, because they originally told me it wasn't available to purchase. I'm not going to complain though. =P I'm starting to read through it and there is some interesting stuff in it. I like most of the houses Jay has designed, although I don't think I would be able to live, long term, in one of his tiny houses. I would have go with one of his small houses. 250 to 900 sq. ft is appealing to me though. Enough room to live in, but not too much excess. I suppose I would probably end up with more then that though, because I'd need a garage to store stuff.
  21. WOW 2011 has a lot of good music on it. I don't have it yet, but I've heard most of it on the radio.
  22. Switched back to my old name now. It was a fun month with F=ma but it wasn't quite as good as Michigan J. Frog. I think I might switch up my font and post color though. I really like the font I was using for the last month. I'll probably leave most of my stuff the same, except for maybe my avvy. I have some other ideas for name changes, but it will be a while before I change it again.
  23. It don't have a job Don't pay your bills Won't buy you a home In Beverly Hills Won't fix your life In five easy steps Ain't the law of the land Or the government ~~~ But it's all you need.. Love, will, hold us together Make us a shelter to weather the storm And I'll, be, my brothers keeper So the whole world will know That we're not alone ~~~ It's waiting for you Knockin' at your door! Every moment of truth When your heart hits the floor ~~~ When you're on your knees then... Love, will, hold us together Make us a shelter to weather the storm And I'll, be, my brothers keeper So the whole world will know That we're not alone ~~~ This is the first, day of the rest of your life This is the first, day of the rest of your life 'Cause even in the dark you can still see the light It's gonna be alright, s'gonna be alright This is the first, day of the rest of your life This is the first, day of the rest of your life 'Cause even in the dark you can still see the light It's gonna be alright, s'gonna be alright ~~~ Love, will, hold us together Make us a shelter to weather the storm And I'll, be, my brothers keeper So the whole world will know That we're not alone (Amazing song by Matt Maher. Ironically though his version isn't my favorite. I heard a cover live by the band SONAR and they do it even better then he does.)
  24. My council has had one of those the last couple of years. My troop has never participated though.
