  1. I don't play Zelda, but I know what's a Link! (er, who's the Link.) Really looks like the character, and the shield is very impressive. Ahh, too much to say; overall every part really looks like him! (well except the mask; Link doesn't have a gold-fish mouth, jk ) I don't know anything about the other character, so I'll abstain from saying anything :X Good job!
  2. Running out of MOCs soon! (good news for you all? >.<) Name: Mizrah, Bohrok Guardian Description: Deep in the depths of Mata Nui, near his very core, lies the Grand Nest of the Bohrok swarm. Wielding twin-blade claws and towering above his enemies, Mizrah, one of many is a sight to behold. He, and the rest of his fellow guardians, have been tasked in the nest's protection against intrusion, and against the unleashing of the greatest threat the world has yet to see... Comments: This was made back in August 2013. I wanted to make a MOC with a movable Bohrok Head. I mean, you see Bohrok being able to freely move their heads in ads, so why cant they in real life? Mizrah also has some waist articulation, reinforced by two more connections between the upper body and the lower body. Personally, I am quite pleased with the using of the Toa Metru Torso for calves; they do look really nice to me (can't I like my own work?! >.<) More Pictures: Action Pose Back View Showing off his waist articulation Leg Close-up MMIIIZZZZZZ-RAAHHHHHHHHHH
  3. XD I'm poor that way... My MOCs tend to be a bit on the 'unpolished' side as I do suffer from a lack of more specialised pieces :X Thank you very much for your comment!
  4. Ooooh smart! Transformation looks pretty neat, but the main question here would be the articulation of the MOC (as many transforming gunplas (I say this because I only know about gunplas, haha) do have a lack of articulation). The back of the legs look kind of bare in robot mode on an otherwise well-armoured MOC, but I guess I'm overall impressed with how both modes look with the transformation incorporated
  5. FIRST!!!!! *er-hrm* Sorry. I like the overall look of this MOC. His cover pose (and other poses as well) looks awesome too. I like how his Mahri Jaller armour blends with the red shoulder armour and the overall colour scheme stays consistent (unlike some of my MOCs ). I also like the white accents (rubber bands!) and am quite surprised about the ones on his mask; they suit well with the overall colour scheme. Then again, his character doesn't really suit the figure. I can see the 'honourable' fighter from some of the figure's poses, but most of them seem to portray a villainous, scheming character. This may largely be due to the red-black colour-scheme, and his red-black mask. Where did you get it though?
  6. Move aside Tahu Nuva, there's a new lava surfer in town! Name: Lava Surfer Description: To allow the Toa Inika to travel into the fiery depths of Mount Valmai and the Lake of Lava surrounding it, the Matoran of Voya Nui engineered the Lava Surfer. Specifically designed to fit the Toa Inika, the Lava Surfer is capable of storing the Toa's weapons while providing side-mounted blasters to fend off any opposition; this provides greater mobility for the rider. Adjustable rocket-boosters allow for greater maneuverability of steering and speed, while the base-design of the Surfer allows for lesser resistance while riding on lava. Comments: Since I like Toa Jaller so much, I decided to make an add-on to him. I intended the Surfer to look kind of bulky (think big over-exaggerated Rocket Booster!), but I have kind of toned it down after seeing how top-heavy it became. And yes, it's intended to look unpolished. The Matoran of Voya Nui didn't have much to work with, did they? (Actually I'm not sure haha XD) More Pictures: First version of the Surfer First version of the Surfer (with Toa on) WEEEEEE *whoosh* Side view 3/4 Back Back View Retracted Base of Surfer Front of base (for Ramming into things!) Your comments would be greatly appreciated! >.<
  7. First impression: AWESOME!!!!!!! Second Impression: SPACESHIP!!!!!! *er-hrm* just kidding Really like how the head, claws and tail look, but on closer look, the Barraki head on the top of the tail seems a little ackward. Nice MOC, really good job
  8. Hello, I'm back with another MOC! Name: Toa Renua and Beast Description: As the young Toa Renua sets out on a soul-searching journey, he meets his first companion, Beast. Beast is of a species close to the Kikanalo, and his bite can be worse than his bark. Together with Toa Renua's Fire-ice bending powers, the duo cross lands, encountering numerous friends and foes. Comment: This was made back in April 2013. I wanted to try my hand out at making a animal-MOC, so Beast was the result of my tinkering about. Beast (obviously the star here, if you haven't noticed) was made with adding more points in articulation in mind. He features a two-point waist articulation, posable jaws, and a dual-balljointed head connection. Due to my lack of pieces. hope you dont mind Beast's *er-hrm* colourful appearance. The claws were inspired by Digimon/ Gomamon. Toa Renua was an add-on to beast. I wanted to try new colour combinations, and have him wield an axe-like weapon. More pictures:
  9. Actually, the colour scheme resulted as I was limiting myself to only using pieces from Breakout Rocka and Breez (they're the most MOCable HF sets I have, due to the durability of their socket joints :/) I imagined those blade on the back as coat-tails (for the fun of it), but I angled them up a little such that they wont hinder leg movement XD Thanks for your comment, it means a lot! ^^
  10. I'd like to see your MOC Thanks for your comment!
  11. This place moves kind of slow; I'd fill the whole forum with my posts soon! >: D Name: Rocka BL Description: With light-weight jet-boots, armour and, most notably, his twin blades, this upgrade of Rocka was made with efficiency of speed and attack in mind. Wrist-mounted blades equate to greater and easier slashing motions; they can also be stored on Rocka's back when not in use. Comments: Just a small little side project using both Breakout Rocka and Breez again done in April 2013. I made this with sleekness in mind (think Gundam Exia). I initially gave him the orangey-red eyes, intending him to be a slash-happy figure, but I switched it over in the end, and cracked the orange head in the process : / More Pictures: Action Pose Back view (blades stored) Front View (blades stored)
  12. Ooh, yet another community It's another Lego-based forum...
  13. Yeah, I probably should've added more black to the legs, but it looked fine to me. The bohrok eye piece actually does not hunder the knee-bending! That's good to hear Wait, what head are you using to hold the mask?
  14. Like I said before for your other Toa MOC, the HF chest piece (the phantom 'h') seems kind of out of place, but I see you did it with an idea for uniformity between the toas, so that was nice... The feet are interesting, but seem kind of flat to me...This is especially so with the bulky armour on the legs, which are nice btw. Colour scheme-wise, I think there need to be more black in it. Comparing it to your other toa MOC, there is much less of the primary black colour as there is orange on the other MOC. Nice MOC, still. The torso and legs are very nice, design-wise. I like how the bohrok eye-piece pops up from under the thigh armour. Does this hinder the knee-bending, though?
  15. After a self-imposed depression, it's time to post again! Name: Behemoth Description: Contrary to his name, Behemoth isn't the tallest individual you'll meet. He, however, gets his name from his sheer bulk, which also makes him an intimidating foe to go up against. Him carrying a massive shield-sword and re-enforced protodermis shield doesn't help either. As an ancient defender of Voya Nui, Behemoth finally fell after his twin back-mounted drives died out from old age. Comments: This was my first go at making a titan-like character. I've incorporated the leg design of HF 2.0 titans for the calves, while using the old Bionicle titan design for the leg re-enforcements. For the shoulders, I decided to try out adapting the builds of Gunpla; I used an extra piece for more mobility and extra shoulder girth (the twin drive were also Gundam-inspired!) One gripe about this MOC was that due to the bulkiness of the feet, their ball sockets tend to get a little loose, if I can remember (this was made in 2012!!)... I also kind of gave up on making a sword for this guy, hence the awkward sword (sorry?). More pictures: Close-up of leg Shoulder build: the red Metru arm is the shoulder connection Back view Height Comparison Alternative (initial weapon): Rhotuka Blaster For more, do visit my MOCs blog; link is in my siggy. Thanks for visiting!
  16. The calf armour seems kind of too bulky on the last picture, but on others seem to blend well with the piraka thigh armour, so I'm not sure about that; the ball joints sticking out seem a little ackward though... Is that a rubber band I spy at the back? As the others have said, the HF chest plate seems kind of out of place, mostly because the 'H' is still visible. If you wish to keep it, maybe try to cover that up or something (a spike peg? Not sure) Wish you has shown how the head looks like without the mask on though...good job I really like the hands.
  17. Not cool, Bulk. Not cool. At least give credit where it's due. Aw, that it easy on Bulk, he just wanted to be heard somewhere in there...XD Anyway back on to the topic. Physical set wise, I think XT4; there were many leftover sets of this guy even well onto the Brain Attack Year...Why? That guy doesn't look aesthetically pleasing as others/ not as worth, methinks...
  18. ^^^: pretty difficult to do the head as always, seeing how gundam head have very small components, and doing that in Lego means a big blocky head.... The wings remind me of Hi-Nu's, it looks exactly like it XD Lose the wings on the weapon; it looks to fantasy-ish to be gundam-like to me...Great knee/upper calf design; really looks like Exia's. The hook-up at the end of the feet don't look nice though. Have you seen (I dunno who)'s gundam MOC? He/she used HF 1.0 feet; that may make it look mroe convincing Nice MOC overrall; got to post my gundam-inspired MOC here some day :X Seems like its starting to trend :X
  19. This^^ And the ones who are highlighting this similarities are really nitpicking here. HF 2.0 is, unlike the Toa Nuva, completely different from HF 1.0. Too different to the point people may start complaining like how different toa phantoka/mistika were from toa nuva. Ah, the things people complain about
  20. Among us, I would say so. After all, this is BZPower. haha no what is bzpower real talk though, BZPower used to be the center of constraction discussion online (we were even offered financial support in exchange for becoming the official LEGO discussion board but I think we turned it down because of the regulations and endless bureacracies involved) but that was quite a while back, '03 or '04 I think. Obviously the politics and power struggle between forums and members created a lot of drama that turned into smaller splinter communities over the years, which in turn means that nowadays there are many people in the constraction community who have never heard of BZPower, but nearly everyone in the larger LEGO community is aware of the existence of Eurobricks. So BZP used to be a major hub of activity, but anymore I'd argue that it's a bit of a relic in comparison. Seriously, someone needs to make that website just for the sheer lolz value. Anyway, I was pointing out the context of his post. He was surprised that Eurobricks was less well known than BZPower on BZPower. What. [/punchline explained and thus ruined] But seriously, this place is a remote island IMO. Any general Lego forum is probably more well known these days among Lego fans, and the days where the Bionicle fandom = big chunk of Lego fandom are gone if they ever were a thing. I do get what you mean, but I thought Eurobricks would at least be more well known... Look at my siggy
  21. Kind of looks like Tallgeese and Legilis together to me XD I like how you used the HF legs and armour to do the feet; they surprisingly make really convincing gundam feet. Colour scheme is great, enough of each colour to make it reminiscent to a gundam. I can't really say much about the head though; the picture's too small and I can't seem to open it up :/ Great job! Can see you really placed a lot of effort into this MOC, even getting someone to help you with the problematic bits...
  22. Well both of us I think but I don't know where your got those two knock-off but I have gotten my Ninjago Ultrabuild Knock-offs from China. Technically, you don't have to get your sets from China alone; these knockoffs are everywhere: Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc Night Markets and Private-owned toy stores are the places to look out for them. I've gotten 2 from Malasyia, one from Singapore, and one from China.
  23. Every single IFB Hero. Think "I am a robot; I speak, I move, I don't have feelings."
  24. Hmm, a nice idea, but App Programming would take some specialised knowledge to do...
