  1. IC: TBK [17/20] Again, Zero's reflexes take action and manage to stop the bullet -- with lightning, no less. And that same bolt was now hurling in his direction. TBK instictively pushed away from the machinery as quickly as possible, but he knew instantly that he made the wrong decision -- upon separating from the metal, his skin returned to normal, allowing tendrils of electrons to reach his body and blaze through his flesh [15/20]. Quite annoyed at himself, he returned to his post behind the machinery. Maybe he didn't cause too much of a ruckus to give his position away, but he didn't keep his hopes up. Nonetheless, he jutted his rifle back toward his targets and aimed for Zero's chest once more and fired, determined to sink one more while he was distracted by Rider. [15/20] One more try at Zero.
  2. What on earth I guess I'm still waking up. Fix'd
  3. OOC: Excuse me for my lack of formatting as well =P IC:TBK [17/20] As TBK poked his rifle out from behind the machinery, he caught a glimpse of Vox giving him a grateful nod. Returning with a grin and another nod, TBK lowered his eye to the scope, pointing in Anna's direction. However, she had dropped out of sight, apparently having heard the shot. Vox was running out of time, though, so TBK swung the muzzle back to Zero and aimed for the head, repeating his process of firing, taking cover, and charging the bolt for another shot. [17/20] Firing on Zero.
  4. Double lynchings are like Christmas morning for me. Wait, what?
  5. IC: TBK [17/20] With his cover gone, TBK had moved to a new location behind a large piece of idle machinery, scoping out the scuttle between Voxumo and his duo opponents. Vox was apparently outnumbered and already on the verge of defeat, and even though it was clear which side was winning, TBK had a bad tendency to extend a helping hand to the underdog. He was around 50 feet away or so, but the sound carried through the tower enough that TBK overheard the conversation. You're right, thought TBK. Two are better than one. He raised his rifle and pointed the silenced muzzle at the idle Zero and fired with the crosshairs on Zero's neck. Letting the bullet fly, he pulled back behind the machinery and blended with its metal in hope of not being spotted and charged the pull bolt to prepare for a shot at Anna. [17/20] Firing on Zero.
  6. IC: TBK [20/20] Hoo boy. Zero managed to deflect the bullet with a quick swipe, to TBK's dismay. If everyone here could dodge and knock bullets away so easily, he wasn't sure the weapon switch was the best choice. As he saw Zero unleash a bolt in his direction, he quickly dropped down and grabbed hold of the metal catwalk's floor, transforming himself to match the metal. As the bolt struck, the electricity surged not only through himself, but through the whole catwalk, virtually completely subsidizing the damage. However, the movement had left him unprepared for Niha's attack, which completely blasted him off of the catwalk and landed him on his back [17/20]. With a painful groan, TBK swept his rifle back up as quickly as possible, hid under the staircase leading up to the catwalk to block himself from Zero's view, and took aim at Niha, letting loose another bullet toward her chest. [17/20] Attacking Niha.
  7. IC: TBK [20/20] TBK looked up over the scope at Pupwa, who was now quite dead with a bullet hole in his chest. He was a bit surprised that actually worked so well. Time for a new target, he supposed. His sight immediately diverted to Niha and Rider, but he decided against it. They were both already heavily damaged, and picking them off from here would seem a bit unbecoming. Instead, he focused on Zero, who still had a decent amount of HP. Leveling his rifle once more, TBK cocked the bolt, took aim, and fired off a shot -- this time a bit closer to the target's head than his chest. [20/20] Firing on Pheonix Zero.
  8. I had wondered the same thing for a long time, but when I read Zatth's explanation, I was quite mind-blown. Hau = shielding = protecting = Mata Nui's role. It makes total sense now.
  9. His mini / simplistic awesomeness is enough in itself, but I just can't get over the expression on his face. It reminds me of me, when the spoonful at the bottom of the ice cream carton that I reserved for myself has mysteriously disappeared. Well done.
  10. OOC: And myself as well! I've thoroughly enjoyed the trip so far, and I'd like to see it get the ending it deserves. By the way, for anyone who wants to skim over to the important stuff, skip down to the last couple of paragraphs. IC: Kovant, entering City of Flames Despite the incessant noise rising from the bustle of the city, the feeling of returning to his home warmed him with a glow that only home could give. He had left the docks rather quickly, but not without reassuring Lekar of his return -- as much as Kovant loved visiting his family, he wouldn't stand for staying for another week. There was too much to see out there in Spherus Magna, and he already knew the City of Flames like the back of his hand. Or maybe he used to. As he walked the streets, his long strides slowed to a turtle's pace as he gawked around at the new buildings that had been erected since his absence. It had been years, but he truly realized how long he had been gone only when he reached his own neighborhood. It was busier than he had ever seen before, aside from holidays: merchants were calling from open stalls and openings in buildings to a numberless crowd, all hurrying this way and that to nowhere in particular, all the while enjoying a few sights, smells, and tastes from penny-pinching salesmen. In a sense, that much was the same. What had really changed, though, were the the faces. Even though tourists came through this area regularly, there once were at least some customers that walked these stores often and even some daily regulars to whom Kovant would give a 'hello' or, better yet, a wave. Here, where buildings were now twice as tall with twice as many people, everyone was new. No one belonged here -- or rather, Kovant didn't belong here. Not anymore, it seemed. Kovant eventually resumed his quick pace and kept his head lowered until he neared the corner around which his Ta-Matoran brothers' settlement rested. At least there was one place that would never lose its sense of home. As he began rounding the corner, his steps quickened in anticipation until the complex came into view. The sight stopped him in his tracks and knocked his jaw opened in horror. -------------------------- As Lekar's group was gathering on the docks, one of the agori looked and saw Kovant slowly trudging back to the group with his demeanor apparently sunk in dismay. As he reached their circle, some looked at Kovant with genuine concern, a silent request for an explanation. Matching their eyesight, he opened his mouth and spoke. "They're gone. My people... they're all gone." His voice had gained a slight tremble. "The building burned down years ago. Only Liina was still dwelling there to tell me about..." He trailed off as his head lowered. Before anyone responded, Kovant strode away from the group and stopped on the wooden edge of the dock, heaving a sigh and staring off past the sea to nowhere in particular. All he wanted now was to leave this place. This wasn't home anymore. Home was gone.
  11. IC: TBK [20/20] Unfortunately, Rider obviously sensed TBK's attack and dodged accordingly. However, the sound of the shot seemed to have managed to catch Pupwa's attention, because he was now charging TBK with a shield of cards. TBK decided that he would respond in kind before Pupwa could reach the bottom of TBK's stairway. "Let's see if your cards can stop a bullet," TBK mumbled as he repositioned his rifle on the rail toward his target. He took a deep breath once again as he set the crosshairs on the approximate position of Pupwa's chest behind the shield, and, with a slow exhalation, pulled back on the trigger until a muffled shot rang out. For protective measures, TBK changed his skin to match that of the supporting steel cables upon which he was leaning to minimize damage from a possible card attack. [20/20] Retaliating against Pupwa.
  12. IC: TBK [20/20] Well, that was an interesting turn of events. Despite the giant hole in his chest, however, Rider had escaped, and he would probably come back for TBK. With this in mind, he continued his path up the flight of stairs and stopped at the closest end of a catwalk. He then scanned the fighters down below for Rider again, and upon spotting him, TBK raised his rifle and set his finger on the trigger. With the crosshairs settling on Rider's chest, TBK fired and then pulled the bolt for a second shot. [20/20] Attacking Rider.
  13. IC: TBK [20/20] TBK opened his eyes to a new setting and glanced around at the clashes that had already begun. Zero, Anna, Luroka, and Pupwa had engaged on side, while Chro and Niha were fighting on the other. All seemed rather distracted and prone to an outside attack, but TBK decided to use his starting energies to gain a strategic position instead. He felt and shifted the weight of the new weapon in his hands, a satisfied smile crossing his face. Before anyone could target him, he quickly scrambled toward the nearest staircase and began an upward trek to gain a higher vantage point, keeping an eye out for anyone that decided to follow. [20/20] Seeking higher ground.
  14. Wheee, that was fun. Cake and disco and all. Edited my profile to add in the MoC! And in case this issue comes up, does it have to be a copy of a Drift Force Weapon under possession of an active player within that round, or can it be any Drift Force Weapon that has been rewarded so far? Never mind, dumb question. Me and my OP tendencies
  15. Let's see how this power works... Member name: TBK Weapon: A silenced bolt action sniper rifle with high magnification scope and bipod. Looks something like a Dragunov, but with more power to compensate for the lack of a semi-auto setting. Power: Adaptation to physical environment by changing molecular structure to mimic any substance that TBK comes in contact with while maintaining a humanoid form. Basically, he can become anything he touches, allowing for camouflage and combat enhancement under the right circumstances. The efficiency of this power is highly dependent upon the arena chosen for the round. Appearance: A sketch. He's almost equal to a Toa in height. Drift Force weapons: Mask of Creation, which allows the user to conjure up an exact copy of one other Drift Force Weapon once per round.
  16. Profile coming soon from me as well. I need to make a few changes.
  17. IC: TBK As he approached Rider, TBK saw Chro hop toward him on one foot at a scary speed and swing his sword. Unfortunately, he spotted Chro's maneuver too late, and it became apparent that the sword was to hit its target -- however, in a last ditch effort, TBK thrust his blade at the same time and intended to skewer Chro back. Countertoothpicking Chro.
  18. I voted for A Shadow Searches, mostly because I envy its artistic composition. Good job and good luck on the final polls!
  19. Tecnokua's correct. That's actually Zahaki, the guy who made the post above yours. However, a Toasterbot will make a reappearance here sometime soon. And he's sort of related to Gavla's Comics... he's Toaster's cousin.
  20. IC: TBK An arm shot out from the debris, followed by the rest of TBK and a gasp for air. As much as TBK hating the feeling of dying while not really dying, there were few things as exhilarating as surviving an explosion from a giant disco ball of doom while inside a flaming cake. Well, the food session was over: it was time to get a little more involved in the combat-oriented side of things. Taking a quick glance around, TBK acted upon the first nearby fighter he spotted -- the unfortunate soul being Rider -- and ran toward his target, swinging his fiery blades and screaming utter gibberish something along the lines of, "MAHAYATUS FOBAKUN LEEVES!" Disturbing Rider.
  21. IC: TBK As he mowed the innards of the flaming delicacy, TBK acted upon an urge to look up. Doing so, he noticed the FFDDLAA was coming straight down upon the cake. In his last moment of sugary goodness, TBK laid his head upon the frosting and closed his eyes, perishing as one with his delicious creation.
  22. IC: TBK TBK jumped into and started nomming the fire cake that everyone had forgotten about. He was then in bliss.
  23. But they use that to their advantage. Without us even noticing, they act behind the scenes, among the shadows. Basically, ninja potatoes.
  24. Knowing fanbases in general, can LEGO really make a "right" decision here? I'm vying for a soft reboot myself.
