Yes. That's a pretty common train of thought when the topic of the Metru masks comes up (that and the lack of colour availability).

I just have never understood why three of them were very clearly different variations of the hau. Just why?

Because it's very ugly. If I wanted Technic sets, I would buy Technic sets. I like CCBS sets because they offer something different. I find Technic builds boring and repetitive, and I don't enjoy them.

I have one of each of the 2015 Toa on display in our apartment, and the other copies of each set I bought get taken apart (if they even get built) for MOCing. I've had Tahu16 sitting in front of me for a few days, and I like to randomly pick him up and turn his gears while I work on other projects.

The sets we get are sent directly from Denmark, and are not from production and shipping stock. These aren't ones taken from pallets for delivery, they are put aside specifcally for fansites. So they have no bearing on when they will be released. And this isn't the earliest we've gotten them either, we had the ones for the relaunch a few months before they were available, but we weren't allowed to post about them. That happens a lot more often than some of you realize!

FIFY. As someone who's lived in Portland and spent vast accumulated time in Dallas over the 20 years I lived in Oklahoma, I can vouch this is one hundred percent accurate.

It's not a "if there is/don't want" it's a "confirmed isn't/do want". You're all welcome to speculate all you want (and we have a forum for it). But it's tiring because we had the conversation to death for the last year, and the NYCC panel attempted to put that to rest, the author of the shorts did as well, but fans won't let it go for some reason. It's annoying because it derails legitimate conversation.

The other reason you won't find a lot of BIONICLE folks at the tables is because they haven't been giving them real table space the past several years, and being in the spot in the back doesn't allow for sitting around and hanging out, which is one of the biggest detriments for that con to me.

So in January we took a chance and moved to the San Diego area. Almost nine months later, we're moving back to Portland. I constantly hear people down here say "I'm so glad I can live in paradise" and I wonder what they're talking about. It's hot- it's always hot. There is no public transit. The sun is always there, always watching, always beaming, always hot. It's miserable. It's hot. People aren't friendy- they are a weird mix of suburban wealth, military base families, and beach-looks-obsessed jerks. Folks on the road all think they are the most important, and the number of times I've felt like I was about to die because a California driver didn't know what the heck they were doing behind the wheel has ballooned into the dozens. This area sucks, everything is too far away, nothing is attainable, and to top it all off, it's expensive. Hideously, ghastly, overbearingly expensive. We can't afford it anymore, neither financially nor emotionally. We haven't been happy in nine months, which means it's time for a change. We're going home. In two weeks. Expect to see even less of me than recently, as we're going to be cutting the cords here and packing and driving and moving. Things will be sporadic until the latter part of October, I expect. Hopefully once that's done and we're back in place, the MOCs will start flowing again because nothing like "you don't have time to build for the next month" to inspire ideas. Anyway, time to go to bed! PS: In-N-Out is lame.
