Inferna Firesword

Wings is pretty much on permanent hiatus; I lost interest in it a while ago after everyone vanished. On the bright side, I have a new story I'm working on, that I should start posting soon.

If nothing else, there'll be a good chance of one of these overly-long names being the sub-title. xD

Everyone has a moment where they look back at their past selves (easier done on Internet forums) and go, "Wow, I hate past me."

(I pretty much loathe my 2008 self. Such poor writing and manners back then. *shudders*)

Anyway, it seems a lot of people are poking their noses out again. Welcome back.

The Taken King definitely saved Destiny for me. Year One, while fun, was pretty disappointing on the story front (on the bright side, that left a lot of openness to theorize about with my fireteam, usually while we were doing strikes. We came up with a lot of headcanon for the Exo culture alone).

But nothing beats having -more- story and interaction. I guess swords, Cayde snark, and a giant warship to explore helps it along too. =P

I play, though not as much as I did over the summer (college gets in the way of a lot of things). I play on the One if you still need a partner at some point; got one of each class but my main is a Warlock.

@Letagi: That might explain things. Didn't know that the R2 unit was there last year (then again, I haven't been reading recaps, or going to the con, since 2012), so hopefully we'll have something new to be roaming the area next year. Thanks for the corrections!

@SPIRIT: I'm liking the Tohu-signal.

@DV: That would do it. Unfortunately I won't be making it to one of the other Brick conventions in the near future, so I'll have to make do with what we have. Hopefully the reboot will help get us a bigger table.

@Akaku: Walking around with our fists extended might get a little awkward. Especially since there's a lot of other people in the hall with us.

Maybe we should design some custom nametags and distribute them through this site?

@xccj: It was pretty low-key, especially in comparison to the other BrickCons I've been to in the past. That said, it was still probably one of the best BC's I've been to, so maybe low-key is the way to go =P

@Letagi: Nice. And yeah, we've meet before, if only briefly. I think we went member-hunting with EmperorWhenua one year? =P

Toaraga: I think I remember reading that it was single-player only, but don't quote me on that. I think I'd prefer it to remain a solo game.

Maes Hughes: This, Destiny, and Battlefront 3 are the only things that interested me, and Dishonored was what really got me pumped. What other powers do you have Emily?

Seriously, though: there goes our little Empress, off to destroy people. xD (Or make their lives miserable.)

@Decapix: So, so much. She'll probably be the character I play through the game first with, unless there's an incentive to play as Corvo first. I can't wait~

(I wish they told us when its releasing, though. Also, I wonder if Daud will make a cameo?)

As a college junior I can attest to all this being true, and being stuff I wished people would've told me in my first year.

@Zox: Thank goodness there aren't any reports of them here, then -- though I bet there'd be an immediate response from the college if there was a bedbug infestation. >_>

@Ehksidian: Eww. I think I'd prefer the drain, though: the drain doesn't fly really close to your face when you're trying to deal with it.

@Zox Tomana: Wow, that sounds horrible, though at least you got things fixed. The maintenance guys are considering drilling into the walls to try and spray insecticide onto the colony and take them out, which is a better idea than just spraying it outside and hoping to kill the workers.

@V1P2: I think bedbugs would be easier to exterminate, though.

@SPIRIT: If it is, I think I'm legally allowed to complain to the college about that. My roommates and I were not informed about the millions of roommates that moved in without our prior knowledge.

(I also have not played in a while. Kinda ragequit over being stonewalled by Grobbulus over and over again, and then college stuff happened. Starting to get into it again, which is why I asked.)

My best friend and I have been working our way through Adventure Mode every time I go back to my family's house. We're about 2/3s of the way done with the main map. Lots of fun. ^^

I've had that thought before. This is partly why I don't really say any of my characters were 'destined' to be Toa; I'd like some free will in my choices, or at least the idea that anyone could be picked.

Though I imagine Destiny might become somewhat obsolete on Spherus Magna -- I think a pre-programmed task put in someone's head won't be entirely applicable outside of the Mata Nui Robot.

That, or -- since the Great Beings didn't think that the Matoran would evolve and gain sentience -- the GBs put some kind of shutdown mechanic in the Matoran that would 'turn off' their need to complete their Destiny once Mata Nui finished his own. Since they started out as worker drones, they probably thought that not having a goal to work on would shut them down. Imagine their surprise if they check back on their experiment and find out that their drones are still up and about despite being supposedly 'shut down'.

Slowly. I kinda had some creator backlash over Chapter 14 (which, last time I checked, went unnoticed here), and I've been having writer's block, but I'm working through it.

My teams in Pearl and Platinum were pretty much identical: the only real difference was between which legendary I had and my Water type.

Agreed. I've been in a bit of a funk since Teddy died, but knowing I'll have two cats waiting for me when I come home definately makes things better.

I don't care that its a completely different franchise, I'm chalking this up as a win for MatauxNokama XD
