  1. Hmmm... so it looks like our villain behind the brains doesn't reveal himself this year. Frost Beast is easily my favorite villain, and I have to say that I generally like this year's heroes better than their past versions.
  2. 2001: Onua Mata 2002: Got all 6 Bohrok for $20 2003: Panrahk and Turahk at once 2004: Nuju Metru 2005: Vakama Hordika 2006: Vezok 2007: Mantax 2008: Chirox and Kirop 2009: Malum 2010: "Piraka"/Nektann
  3. Keep in mind its a one-of-a-kind mold in platinum, therefore being a collector's item. It's pretty much the same story as this—the car only would have cost around $25000-$35000 to make—yet it sold for 4.6 million dollars. Granted, not many besides fans of Bionicle would recognize the Avohkii, and I'm not sure how many of us have that much money laying around.
  4. Man, that's... a lot. If no one buys it, the seller is crazy, if someone does, he's a great businessman
  5. You could even have a chess set per year, for example:2006:White I've thought of this before. Personally, I would really like a League of Six Kingdoms set.
  6. In addition to the fact that Velika's matoran body can become a toa like any other matoran, we don't even know if this alternate universe's "Velika" was a GB in disguise, since that alternate universe appeared before the "hidden GB"-thing.
  7. Thanks! Trying to put myself in Icarax's head was the hardest part in writing this, so I'm glad to hear that I did it well. I really appreciate the time you judges are putting into this.
  8. Hmmm.... If Chima is going to be an MMO, Lego has either been working on it secretly for some time, is planning on having Chima stick around for a number of years, or does not plan on game development taking as long as it did for Lego Universe. I could never play Lego Universe, because it was cancelled a few months before I got a laptop capable of supporting it. Hopefully I'll be able to play Chima. Presumably, Chima tribes will work like Lego Universe factions, or something.
  9. Well, at one point Icarax called Vultraz telepathically when he was in Karda Nui, but the "signal" was described as being weak, both because of the distance and because Icarax had just been devolved by Ignika. Teridax would have been an especially powerful telepath, since he was so intelligent and had such strong willpower. While he probably wouldn't be able to use a mental attack on a being halfway across the universe, I'm sure he could send a message to Sidorak and Roodaka (or at least one of them). In any case, the more a Makuta practiced and developed their telepathy, the more powerful it would be. Different Makuta seem to have different favorite or signature powers, such as Chirox's well-controlled Shadow Hand. In addition, the "mental attack" part of telepathy that Mutran used was also used by Kongu with his Suletu, so I think any telepath can do that. The range and strength of telepathy would always depend on the skill and power of the user, qualities which Makuta possess in abundance.
  10. I think it may have been since he was an Av-Matoran, and as we've seen Toa can from mental links with them.
  11. Thinking about the nature of the zyglak that sounds very logic? Them being dissolved via Zyglak disease might even be the part where Karzahni got his mask-generated future vision wrong; in his maddened state he could not recognize the difference between that and the effect an acid cloud might have.EDIT: Gah, fix the CSS for the code boxes already! Good point! I hadn't thought of that. In addition, Zyglak have spears and knives with Disintegration powers. If Lesovikk's teammates were hit by these, they wouldn't be able to be repaired.
  12. Well, if they were originally colorless, Spiriah could have given them colors corresponding to their elements to make them more identifiable.
  13. Well, Vorox and Zesk retained their ability to speak Agori to a certain extent. They also are smart enough to do things like plan ambushes and recognize Malum as their pack leader after not having seen him for some time. Perhaps they decreased in intelligence because they didn't need advancement. I don't see how intelligence could really improve their lives- while they live in the desert and are savages, I wouldn't say that the other Glatorian/Agori have done much better.
  14. Probably not Light, as no Makuta would ever give someone Light powers. Definitely not the Legendary elements either. I'm not sure if Spiriah mutated the Skakdi before or after the Makuta evolution. If it was after, there are probably no Iron or Magnetism Skakdi as well. In addition, Vezok is proof that elements do not relate to gender with Skakdi (or they have different female elements?) For fan-created material, you can use any element.
  15. Either there weren't many problems, or the GB's were really oblivious, considering they spent their time doing things like mounting cannons on Skopio.
  16. I'm not sure whether Rahi Control would be sufficient to take over Frostelus. While the Matoran consider them Rahi, we know that they're practically sentient. Grammar mistakes: You're using the present tense, so it's "look", not "looked". I'm not sure that "to afford" is the right verb here. Perhaps you should replace "afforded" with "presented". Since this refers to an event taking place before the one described here, you should use the past perfect. So it's "had been" instead of "was", "had distracted" instead of "distracted", "had been" instead of "was", "had led" instead of "led" and "had exploited" instead of "exploited". "of" not "if". I was also unsure whether Amphibax could be in command of a fortress timeline-wise, since we know that he was sent to spy on the Piraka on Voya Nui and that during that same period Icarax was sent to retrieve the Kraahkan. I think it is possible, though it would be tight, so I didn't signal it as a mistake, but I'm pointing it out anyway. I made the edits you suggested. I didn't really get to proofread this, as I had typed about 70% before I had a computer error and had to quickly retype the whole thing to get it in before the deadline. I decided to just remove the Frostelus part. I wanted to mention the Frostelus again, so could I have permission to edit in a line about the Frostelus having migrated out of the area or something, to explain why they didn't attack the Dark Hunters? Thanks!
  17. The Element Lords were members (probably Glatorian) of each tribe who were transformed by the GB's, so they wouldn't have evolved at all. Also, Zesk were originally Sand Tribe Agori rather than scorpion beasts, and I suspect Bone Hunters to be a subspecies of Agori. Other than that, this is a great idea!
  18. Hmmm... There were malfunctioning Vahki in Metru Nui during the Visorak invasion, right? And I think the Visorak just destroyed those, whereas they mutated just about everything else. This could point to pure machines being immune to Hordika venom. But then, what would a Vahki Hordika be like? Trying to enforce order, while being an animal?
  19. I guess you could explain the similarities among Matoran as being a product of their old AI. I think, after the Archives Massacre, the Metru Nui Matoran don't have very high expectations of leaders trying to resolve conflicts in general
  20. There very well may have been government besides Dume, but we only really saw Metru Nui when Teridax was masquerading as Dume. Presumably, Teridax expanded his powers significantly. I'm not sure if the real Dume would have billboards of himself put on the Knowledge Towers.
  21. I think it should be "who". Either way, there should be a comma after "Visorak" and you doubled spaced after "the" . I'm guessing "beings" was what was intended here? Another spacing thing. Canon stuff: I think that even in the MU, plasma acts like a gas. You could say a pool of lava/melted metal or whatnot. Other than that, good story! -TLhikan Thanks! I made these edits, and also mentioned Icarax's Mask of Scavenging to clarify how his mask gave him energy.
  22. If they didn't have powers, then how was that one imprisoned GB in that fortress able to freeze time and space across a parallel universe? As far as I remember those abilities weren't confirmed to be the result of him touching the Ignika. Then again, I guess you could say that he could have possibly built and hid a machine somewhere that can track his location, read his thoughts, and do those things for him, though there's no evidence to suggest that. There is also the possibility that he used a power focused only on Vezon in order to make him feel like everything else was frozen. It would be kind of like some fictional explanations for time stop: you are not stopping the universe, you are speeding up yourself (some choose to deal with increased aging due to this, other just label it a magical effect that is not subject to such things). I thought that might just be the effect of having the Olmak turned off while it was being used, since Vezon was teleporting when the GB turned his "kanohi" off.
  23. It's great to keep getting info from Greg. I hope there's more to come.
