  1. @Eeko: Perhaps we could turn over the menagemnt of the site to an AI that eventually turns malveolent?I wonder how much it would cost to get another server. Perhaps make them run together, one taking care of certain parts of the site, and other others.
  2. Reconciliate my differences, clear my name, become respected, meet more BZPers in real life, 10k posts, become a staffie, and write more.
  3. I would migrate the site to the Amazon EC2 cloud, and orchestrate a huge credit card heist to pay the server fees.Bring back Hot Topics probably, fix the member of the day function, and introuduce AI´s that would replace the staff so we could all have a good time and the staff wouldn´t have to work so hard.
  4. I guess it was the Homestuck banners that got me into MSPA.And what is your banner anyways, Trueshadow?
  5. 1. The Inika was the year that the sets began to use generic builds. I like the light-up swords and the electric feel, but overall they´re not my favorite. Also, the heads don´t glow.2. I think they´re really cool, and I would have liked to get some if I was into that back then.
  6. Well, I think it's important to have variety. Some girls may repond to fantasy-style buildable dolls, while other may prefer the more realistic scenarios and buildings. But I think some of the principles behind Friends could be applied to a constraction line, such as the more streamlined character designs and the emphasis on character and story, which, Lego has decided, appeals to girls. With constraction, you end up with BIONICLE-like parts that may seem too robotic, or with something like Galidor that kinda sucks.Buildable is the way to go. Not necessarilly fantasy themed, but houses, and dollhouse scenarios seem like more interesting. But then again, that´s just me, Waffles the boy, speaking, and I don´t think I really know anything about what Lego Bricks a girl would like. I guess nobody does, since a few individuals is a far too small sample size.
  7. Despite it being online, whenver I go to the page it presents an error. Help?
  8. Perhas some more yellow on the legs, but this just made my day.
  9. No, I usually accept the fact that I don´t know much about all franchises.
  10. Somehow constraction doesn´t seem like the way to go, I think scenarios and houses will be more interesting, along with better parts.
  11. Hey, could I ask a small favor? Perhaps could you use the spoiler tag or make it so one has to click "see more" to see the rest of the entry. I don´t mind the spoiler,s but other people might not like them. I don´t think the warning is enough.
  12. What I find surprising was the defensive attitude taken by some people here. The topic is What Would You Like to See in a Fan Game, and I answered the question with my opinion. It seems this has also become the base of operations for you guys, but I didn´t see the need to recieve such a backlash. I was simpyl sayign what I wanted, not criticizing your game.Nevertheless, that doesn´t mena I don´t find your game interesting, and I´d love to play it.
  13. Maybe "favorite color" wasn't the right term. What I was saying was that from an early age, parents associate their daughter with pink. Girls on TV are shown playing with pink things. Girls are taught that pink is for them. Parents think that pink is for their daughter as well. So the daughter wants pink things, and the parents want to buy the daughter pink things (which is probably what made the daughter want pink things to begin with). It's a cycle. Now, I'm not saying that all girls like pink. All I'm saying is what you're saying: that pink has been associated with girls, and that the girls, but more specifically the parents, want to conform to this arbitrary standard that's been set.-don't touch my pocket protectorYou have doen nothing more than restate what I said.
  14. I don't think such a topic would ever work on BZPower. Even if it was well policed, I think that the arguments in there would bleed over into other forums. For instance, say you found out that a member on here was the exact opposite of you politically. Wouldn't you view that member just a little more negatively in other places? And even if you wouldn't some people would. The drama and debates would escape that forum and enter BZPower proper. Plus, there are plenty of places on the web where you can discuss politics and religion. The fact that you can't do it on BZPower isn't a huge deal.-don't touch my pocket protectorCase in point: this topic before the downtime. There are other places where you can discuss that stuff with other BZPers and there´s no world filter and then everybody will be all confused when they see that a group of friendly BZPers has dissolved because of something that happened "off-site".
  15. I haven´t really had a high opinion of them due to thier general simplicity, whether it be in the theme of the sets or the parts. I stand adamandtly by my opinion that girls aren´t just pink-loving little automatons. They pretty much fit in with the whole self-conscious image that is part of consumerist culture, instead of doing anything new.And please, LEGO, if you´re going to introduce new colors, use them in all your themes.
  16. They´re also cubic, which must have helped architects probably. It turns out it didn´t really catch on and was actually used more by industrial planners.
  17. @Toa of Nerds: It´s not that they´re favorite color is pink, just like all guys don´t like blue. It´s simply that society has associated pink with feminity, and people just conform.
  18. Why is it that so many towns have an East/West gang rivalry? Couldn´t they be more creative and divide themselves over coordinate graticules.
  19. Why did I just read this as I was planning a trip to Australia? No, jk, but these are some pretty hard-to-believe events, but I don´t see why you would have any motive to lie.
  20. Or canned tuna is pretty hot.
  21. What I find more unsettling is that "pretty pink ponies" means "no-boys allowed".Oh great, somebody´s going to propose MLP on Cuusoo.
  22. Apparently girls don´t like minifigures. That wasn´t apparent.I thought LEGO was cutting down on new pieces, all these new sets just require more molds, no?As for the new colors, I´really hope LEGO doesn´t constrain them to just this theme, they would be quite useful.
  23. Happy Birthday QB!I don´t know you, but I wish I did!
  24. You´ll like Tintin, it´s good.
