  1. Happy Birthday Makaru!I got you a present!
  2. Have a good one Emzee!.
  3. Day 9 Yay for weekends! I started the day off by putting the wrong notebook in my bag, so I had to come all the way back after Calc to turn in my homework. I got a (very) short tour of the laser system that I'll be helping to fix. We believe it's a problem with the heat exchanger, but we haven't been able to reproduce the failure. The school had their organizational fair today, so I signed up for Glee Club, Ski Club, and the gaming/Anime/D&D coverall group. And now I got all of tomorrow off. B) Except for, you know, homework.

    Pond Life

Well that was... unexpected. Looking forward to tomorrow even more now!
  6. Day 8 Well, it's that time again. Thursday's are my light days, so all I had class-wise was an 8 o'clock Phys Ed. class. I spent a good portion of the afternoon updating the wall with all the Physics Student's pictures and names on it. We had our Physics Pizza Party. Not a lot happened, it was really more of a meet-an-greet. That's about all the non-study related activities for the day. See ya tomorrow!

You need a variation of Takuma's "Entry Closed" gif.
  8. Day 7 Well, it appears that I've officially survived my first week of college! *yay* As for today's activities, not a whole lot exciting happened. I went to Physics, Calc, and Chem lectures. I also had Physics lab for the first time today. Which really kinda sucked because all it was was a diagnostic exsm to see what we already new. Then all the Freshman got had to go to a manatory survey, done by the same people who do the ACTs. So that was also a terrible waste of time. Looking forward to tomorrow though. I only have one class Thursdays, and then I do some DA work. Other than that I'm totally free.
  9. Welcome to the best group!

  14. I swear, I will eventually blog about something else. This is all I've had time for so far. Day 6 Let me just go on record saying that it should be a crime to give someone morning and night classes on the same day. I got up early to go to an 8:00 Fitness and Wellness class, then more Calc. I did some more work as DA, just delivering and picking up stuff mostly. I did get to talk with one of the Physics Professors about doing some independant research in the laser lab, which would be sweet. Then there was Chem lab, which was mostly just getting to know the software we'll be using. Lastly I have an (ugh) 6:30-9:00 Humanities class. The instructor is great and fun. But still, two and-a-half hours of humanities. As far as non-academia activities... I bought by dad a birthday card, and that was about it. Tuesday's are pretty busy it seems.
  15. Ultimate Sweetie Belle?I think yes.
  16. *hitslaps you in the maskface*
  17. Day 5 Had to get up nice and early to make the 8:00 Physics class. Which goes straight into Calc. Ugh. Started my work as Departmental Assistant. Which was pretty cool. It's mostly just runningn errands though. Spent a while filling out tax forms so I could actually get paid for the aforementioned job Finished up the academic day with Chemistry. That's about it for today, no homework was assigned. See y'all tomorrow! With (groan) PhysEd...
  18. I'm thinking that's what I'll do. The only problem is, I only have one ethernet outlet. So I'll have to switch it out everytime I want to use my desktop.
  19. You and me both. Good luck!
  20. Have a good one ya' old fart.
  21. Day 4 Today was pretty cool. We had chapel at the beautiful church on campus, and the men's Glee club led the hymns. Talked more and met more people. We had a short RA meeting. Our RAs are pretty cool, they're really helpful, and fairly leniant. I tried to get my MacBook on the wifi again. It'll connect at the IT Center but it doesn't like my halls router. Lastly, we went to the Orientation Board's "Off Broadway", where the various OB groups present skits. They were really good, along with one of the best renditions of "A New York Minute". Well, classes start tomorrow, so I'm off to bed. G'night!
  22. Happy Birthday Apollo!Come visit us sometime!
  23. Day 3 Not a whole lot happened today. I bought my 650 dollars worth of books, and lugged 'em all the way across campus. Man those were heavy. Finally got some game time in, so I played some Assassin's Creed II. Lastly, we had a carnival at around 8:00, which was pretty awesome. They had the typical carnival type games, but they also had a Gamecube set up, and were running Melee games. I owned my first round as Sheik, and then was promptly creamed because of Big Blue. Like I said, not a lot happened. Goodnight!

    Pony Gangnam Style

The real question is: Has Gangnam Style been ponified? Or have ponies been Gangnamified?
  25. Hello everyone! I figured college would be a great excuse for me to join the 'Closing Thoughts' bandwagon. Since I didn't do one yesterday, you get a brief rundown of day 1 as well. Day 1 Moved in, got settled, and met some people. Got a school issued laptop, which isn't bad. It's a touch screen, and folds into a tablet. There was a party in one of the main halls for the freshmen, didn't meet too many people though, since it was really crowded. Day 2 Spent half an hour trying to find the cafeteria with my roomie. It was nice out though, so I didn't mind the walk. Attended 'Student Life' lectures until lunch. The Physics Department had a meeting, and man am I excited. The professors are really great, and really love the work they're doing. Since there's only 12 freshmen declaring Physics as their major, we get a lot of one-on-one with the professors. On Tuesday, I might get to start fixing up a laser that one of the faculty is working on. Plus, I already have a job as Department Assistant, which'll make some nice side cash. Lastly, they showed "The Incredibles" on a giant screen outside. So we had a nice little social out there. That's all for tonight! See you all tomorrow!
