    Surge to Breez: "Hey, I wish we could do that..."

    Natalie Breez

    This set is way way way way way too good to be overlooked by all of you drooling over Jimi Stringer. I actually like it better than Stringer, no joke. Is Duncan Bulk any good? Still haven't got him yet, and am waiting on the Furno Bike to arrive at my TRU.
  3. I think my favorite is Breez. Something about the model is perfect- the helmet, the colors, weapons... it all flows nicely. I noticed how incredibly intricate some of the new molds are, the helmets especially. Believe it or not, I was surprised to see the Surge's arms and legs were actually silver. I always thought they were white for some reason. These sets really do pick the Agori and Stars up by the metaphorical neck and smash them to bits. Also, my TRU had all of the HF sets except for the Furno Bike. Collectable minifigs no longer appear to be available. I read that new Star Wars sets were pulled from shelves. -Kylus
  4. I myself use a Canon Powershot SX200IS. It's perfect: you can use it as a simple point-and-shoot, or you can get a bit more advanced with it. It takes great shots either way. Amazon has it for $254, but it's well worth it IMO.
  5. @Chunky! If you weren't in Canada, I would suggest you use this TRU coupon that imma use tonight. $12 + tax for 2 heroes > $16 + tax for 2 heroes. B)
  6. Dude, nice job on the t-shirt design. Very fly and stylish. B)
  7. I'm getting Preston Stormer fo sho, and will pass on Bill Furno because I'm getting the Furno Bike soon. Suggestions go go go go go

    Skate 3

    I got Skate 3 last week, after previously owning the first two games. I beat the career mode (as in, reached the overall board sales goal of 1,000,000) the other day, and am starting to venture online. And I too used to play Tony Hawk non-stop. After Project 8, it all started going downhill. ;_;

    See Ya Guise

    I'll be gone for the weekend. Heading off to another lacrosse tournament thing. Hoping to finally see Toy Story 3 in 3D after my games, as the mall it's playing in also happens to have a LEGO Store. I'm a bit upset as this Sunday is supposed to be the day my Disney Store receives Toy Story series Vinylmation. Hopefully they will still have them when I get back. Stay classy, BZP. EDIT: One more thing before I go. WHY DIDN'T LEBRON COME TO NEW YORK... I've been waiting forever for him to sign with the Knicks and you in one swoop of Wade and Bosh signing with the Heat hopes of signing him diminished. ;_;
  10. Before, it used to be exclusive to Toy Fair. They only gave them out to, I don't know, maybe a few hundred press people? Now, it's actually going to be able to be obtained much more easily. I don't know how it'll hit retail, but I suspect it'll be another TRU promo, like the chrome Stormtrooper was. You would buy $25 worth of LEGO SW stuff, and they would toss one in the bag for you. So, in a way it is hitting retailers.
  11. Greatest hits vol. 2.1 B) Okay, so HF is actually looking too sweet to ignore. It makes me want to bust out the pieces and start mocing again. Ok, I'll probably get an impulse set or two. Oh, and... WHITE BOBA FETT HITTING RETAIL

    Vuvuzelafair 2010

    I must have a vuvuzela right now. After the last USA game, I even saw people driving around town in a car with 8 or so people FREAKIN hanging out of the car and blowing their glorious plastic instruments (all while honking the horn like the USA chant). Quite the sight to see.
  13. Lacrosse is a great game, in both the male and female versions. (Actually, I've never seen a girl's game played before, so don't quote me on that. ) The male game is incredibly cool. Think a combination of hockey, soccer, and some of the physicality of football and put it on a grass or turf field. It's the fastest growing sport in the nation. I really don't get why there aren't more people playing it, it's very fun to play and exciting to watch.

    Ugh

    Contact lenses really annoy me. Hated the things since I first tried them. Besides, I think nobody would even recognize me without my glasses, it's sort of become a part of me, if you will. And like you, I couldn't get contacts out. Thus came the conclusion that I would avoid contact lenses at all costs. Seriously, I even have them sitting in my room as they have for over a year, but haven't even thought about using them.
  15. Some tidbits: -I have kind of "left", but am actually still lurking, like, oh I don't know, once or twice a week? Weird seeing all of this HF stuff getting reported on the front page. -OK, I haven't really "left", it's more like taking an on-and-off "break". I suppose that's a better way to put "it". -School let out for me today. -My trip to Disney World is only about 40 days away. Not too bad. -All of those Barnicles are packed away now. Very pleased, actually. Needed those things off the floor of the basement. It was getting out of hand. -Went into NYC yesterday. Didn't expect to see it open, but I was happy to find out that the Rockefeller Center LEGO Store started soft opening. Went in and checked it out, got an issue of Brickjournal, picked up two collectable minifigs (went in blindly without my barcode cheat-sheet, so I got a cowboy which I already have but luckily got the robot I've been looking for.) The store itself has a bunch of cool NYC-inspired models to look at, AND the LEGO Sea-Serpent that comes out of the water at Downtown Disney in Disney World (but in this case it weaves in and out of the ceiling. Really cool.) -Saw where they were putting in the new NYC Disney Store in Times Square. On the same side as TRU, down a little ways. -Happy to hear that Disney Stores are beginning to sell Vinylmation... because the mall that is a fine-minute drive from me is getting them. B) As part of the Imagination Park movement hitting many Disney Stores across the nation, stores are getting totally revamped to include crazy technology and stuff. -Summer lacrosse is pretty crazy. Had my first tournament last weekend. A little difficult to play in such heat. -I've decided against buying Hero Factory. Will I cave and buy a small one at some point? Maybe, but I really feel that I'm done with buying those types of LEGO. That being said, I'll still probably be buying select LEGO themes, such as Architecture and Toy Story. -Speaking of Toy Story, I still haven't seen TS3 yet. I better get my butt to a movie theater right now and see it. I really need to. First movie in a long long time that I've been aching to see. -Is that it? -Yes -Yes, I believe so.

    Why Hello There

    Lacrosse season is over. Summer season starts next week, with practices all through June and tournaments starting up a little later. I can't really catch a break, now can I.

    Disney Vinylmation

    Interesting. That was the one I was going for last year, but failed miserably and got some other one from the series.

    Collectable Minifigs!

    I myself forgot to bring the barcode list, but made sure I didn't get any doubles by looking at the barcodes. Luckily, I got some good ones. I'm glad I got the one I desperately wanted, the crash test dummy.
  21. Got them at TRU the other night.

    Robin Hood

    Me too. Well, hey, it's something to hold you over until Toy Story 3 comes out... You would rather this hold you over than the new Shrek movie, right?
