  1. Yeah, some of these do vary in usefulness quite a bit between 3 and 4. What if we say stage 3 for all, but if you think a certain power deserves stage 4, ask and we will approve it by a case-by-case basis? It'll mean a bit more work for us, but due to the rarity of Makuta characters it shouldn't be that bad...
  2. I also asked how strong Makuta powers should be, in the easily definable measurement of Kraata stages right before Onarax got back (literally, the previous comment). Which, and I don't mean to rush (I totally mean to rush), we really need to decide.
  3. Whose corpse would that be? Cause if it isn't Venator, that means this island has a serious smelly corpse infestation.
  4. Aw man, I was hoping to get the Nui-Rama... I'd like Brutaka, The Boxor, and the aforementioned Nui-Rama (if Sisen changes his mind). Of course, chances are you aren't accepting reservations yet, so my saying that was pointless. >_<
  5. You forgot to mention that the Mark Bearers are in Ga-Koro with Salamander.Funny how something that had half of the players here fearful for the state of Ga-Koro could slip your mind.
  6. Yeah, I'd also be confused if I came back at this point. I'd recommend trying to read as many comments that were made as possible, since I'm too lazy to write up a summary (and also doubt I'd be able to do one justice).
  7. That's exactly what I was thinking. Unfortunately, I'm reluctant to make a decision on the behalf of the rest of the staff, thus the delay.
  8. Okay, I'm going to wait until we staff members can talk about it amongst ourselves instead of going out on a limb and giving you my opinion on how powerful they should be. Looking back, our previous conversation on the matter was rather vague, with the decision that the Makuta powers should be at about the level of a Turaga. Naturally, Turaga aren't mentioned in any of the descriptions. :PHowever, I will be pushing for stage 3 abilities. So... Yeah. Sorry I can't answer your question immediately, but hopefully we Kirse staff can come to a conclusion you guys will find more favorable without forcing you to wait an inordinate amount of time.
  9. Okay, what level should the Makuta powers be at? I'm in favor of stage 3, as that isn't so weak that the powers are rendered useless, but are also not strong enough to allow a player to rely solely on one in particular when in a fight. It strikes me as a good balance, but before I make a statement in the topic I'd like to see what you guys say about it. So... What say you guys?
  10. Yeah, that was Vorex's take on the subject. Unfortunately, the conversation the Kirse staff had on it was about a month ago, so I'm still trying to find what was decided upon. Just give me a few minutes...
  11. IC: Salamander:"Seeing as how you are all about fear, you might find it interesting to know that the Rahkshi I went up against was by some odd coincidence a Rahkshi of Fear. So, if you just now had the idea of using a Rahkshi to produce fear in order to fuel your mark, I can assure you that would work very, very well."Salamander wasn't even sure if Utu had thought of such an idea, but he was willing to bet a week's worth of food that the Toa of Ice had. "So his name was Tillian? Huh..."He wondered why anyone would ever use a Rahkshi staff as a weapon when they had previously used different weapons, but decided against it. He was probably just not familiar enough with weapons to see some obvious similarities between swords, axes, and staffs. Yeah, that's probably it.
  12. I just remembered that I have almost $20 worth of store credit for Toys R Us. Guess I know where I'm going next time I get an email saying there's a BOGO. :D

  13. Kirse allows it. Not to say you'll like how they are set up, but they are playable.
  14. IC: Salamander"Funny you should ask about that... We had a disagreement earlier today, and parted ways."The tone of Salamander's voice made it seem as if he found the topic to be boring, but as he spoke memories of his fight with Venator flashed through his mind. He wondered once more if he should have killed Venator, and why he hadn't. Gotta focus on the present situation..."Seriously? I was certain Po-Koro was the site of only one of many such incidents, so are you saying other villages weren't attacked? Regardless, this was after our fight in Ko-Koro. I was tired of the weather up there, which reminds me; you do realize there was a storm practically every day while we were up there, right? It was just awful... Anyway, I'm getting off topic. So, I went down to Po-Wahi for a bit of sunlight, and Venator followed me. We eventually arrived in the village, and after an hour or so a group of Rahkshi suddenly appeared."At this point Salamander began to speak more slowly, as if trying to remember what had happened during the frantic battle that eventually took place."I fought one Rahkshi, along with Venator and I think two other random bystanders. If memory serves correctly, one was a Toa of Stone and the other was a Toa of Crystal. During the fight, the Toa of Stone was killed, and the rest of us were thrown around like a group of pathetic Matoran. I've fought Rahkshi before, but this seemed... different. Stronger, more determined. Oh, I almost forgot! Even with all the Toa who were a part of that battle, only one Rahkshi was actually killed. I have no idea what happened after that, since I left the village as quickly as I could."
  15. IC: Salamander"Wedding? Friend? Wow, I really am out of the loop... Okay, how about I stop trying to annoy you, and you fill me in on what's going on? I'm not exactly in the mood for a fight myself, so if we both feel that way how about we continue talking for a bit longer? The last time I was in a village for any considerable time was when the Rahkshi attacked Po-Koro, and that feel like months ago..."Salamander frowned slightly. It looked like he would have to start taking the conversation seriously if he wanted it to continue. He had nearly finished his meal, so even if a fight broke out (which, fortunately, seemed rather unlikely at this point) and he was forced to flee, he wouldn't have to leave a plate full of food behind.
  16. Umm... When did funerals become so popular? It seems like there's one every other week these days...
  17. IC: Salamander"Yeah, I figured it had something to do with fear. That Matoran, on the other hand, was dead the moment you grabbed him. I saw no point in trying to save him when there was nothing stopping you from killing him. As such, I made no effort to save him. Sorry, that's just how I am. Now, how much do you know about those Marks? Where did they come from? How did you get them? Man, I'm just so full of questions right now it's almost unbearable..."
  18. Nuju's happy about something.This can't be good.
  19. IC: Salamander"Ah, that's... that's actually pretty cool. And what is this 'destiny' of yours? To sit around in bars drinking way more than is healthy for a person? Or maybe your so-called weapon allows you to stay sober after drinking more than the average Toa. Although I'm not a drinker myself, even I have to admit that that'd make for an interesting weapon. You could drink so much alcohol that everyone assumes you're as drunk as a striped Rahi, and then... BAM! You're totally not."Salamander took a bit of his food, noticing that it didn't taste nearly as good as he had hoped it would. Oh well."And when you say it can do anything, you mean it can provide you and your friends a boost in your physical abilities. Oh, except for when it brings you back to life, which honestly just sounds like something some mad scientist would make. Although I am still curious as to how those things work. If nothing else, the whole "mysterious mark that makes my eyes glow some random color" kinda piques my interest."
  20. OOC: You guys need to seriously slow down. Please. Just when I think I'm done with the post, somebody else says something to Salamander.IC: Salamander"Not much to say. I'm just your average Toa of Fire, out to uphold justice wherever I go. Utu is an old acquaintance of mine, one who has never quite agreed with my personal code of honor and chivalry."Salamander finally caught the attention of one of the patrons and quickly asked for some food. As much fun as he was having, the irritation of Utu wouldn't fill his stomach. When he was finished, Salamander turned to face Yuru."You can keep your drink, I don't want it. As for the spear, I think you should hod on to it. You killed him after all, so it's only fitting that you should have it. And of course, if you did give his spear to me it would just end up being destroyed. I have no use for something like that, so why bother? No, I think you are doing a fine job honoring the memory of Kinvex by keeping his weapon in such a respectful manner. Please, keep it."Salamander couldn't help but laugh inwardly. Did this fool Yuru really think he could be baited into a fight with such pathetic attempts? He would have had more luck if he just asked Salamander. However, he was getting tired of all the arguments that had started since his arrival. "All of you shut up. I don't care about who has more honor or who is really a spy or any of that stuff. I'm not here to talk to you, and, quite frankly, you could all be reduced to nothing more than ashes before I begin to care about anything you say. Now, Utu: I asked you a question. What is the answer? What are you up to?"
  21. Gotta love how this quickly became a trolling competition.
  22. IC: Salamander"Haha, I guess that's one way to describe him. Of course, since I'm guessing you guys are the ones responsible for his death, I'll take your opinions on the matter with a healthy dose of skepticism."To his surprise, one of the people in the bar had lifted up their mug. The same person, in fact, who had muttered Tuara's name earlier. Then, another did the same. Fortunately, Salamander's expectations of Utu's behavior had proven correct; the Toa of Ice had visibly stiffened at the prospect of a toast, as if afraid even the slightest movement would betray some kind of weakness.Utu's refusal to go along with any of Salamander's games would only serve to make them all the more enjoyable to Salamander. "Okay, so in all seriousness, what's up? Last time I saw you, you were lying in the snow snarling about how you didn't want anyone to touch you. Now I see you and suddenly you've found yourself a whole bunch of friends, none of whom - if you want my opinion - seem to be all that nice. Sure, two of you toasted to Kinvex's memory, but that's more a matter of common decency."Salamander leaned back, his eyes suddenly becoming focused. It was time to get down to business."Let's talk, Utu. What are you up to?"
  23. IC: Salamander:"Kinvex is dead? Huh... Oh well. I didn't really know him all that well, but I'm sure he'll be missed. How about a toast for Kinvex's memory?"Salamander grabbed a nearby mug and held it up, evidently waiting for others to follow suit. From behind him, Salamander heard someone mutter something about Tuara, and he decided to have a private discussion with that person later. Right now, he was busy trying to mess with Utu and his little gang of misfits, and already having a blast while doing do.
  24. Oh no! I hope the village isn't destroyed; Salamander can't swim, after all.Wait, Kadin.
