Oi.Whoever kills Utu ends up getting a very mad Salamander after them. He's not going to take it well at all if somebody else kills Utu.

Glad I got Salamander out of there, then. He would have done something stupid like trying to fight everyone and end up getting himself killed.

IC: SalamanderSalamander chuckled at Angelus' words. Tuara had clearly been mad at him to have said such things. That or simply brutally honest."Excellent, then I don't have to keep up this ridiculous act much longer! Now, I'd like to point out that at least one of the two Toa I had helping me last time was about as useful as a legless Ussal, and we were in Ko-Koro at the time. Don't think I can't handle him on my own; Utu and I fought to a stalemate the first time we met, and I'm confident I can top that record this time around."Salamander continued walking towards the main entrance of Ga-Koro, Angelus following close behind. "Now then, one last thing to take care of... Can you take me to where the wedding will be held?"

I see no problem with that plan so far.

IC: Salamander"Huh... Then I'm glad I didn't go searching for her; would have been a wast of everyone's time. However, seeing as how she was such a good person, I'm sure you'll get her back one day."Salamander wasn't sure if he believed his own words, but he did hope they were true. It was all he could do. He pushed aside the thoughts of hope and good prevailing and looked down at the journal Angelus had just given him."So, I'm assuming you are willing to help me fight against Utu? I mean, handing something that potentially contains the weaknesses of all the Mark Bearers isn't something you do to any random person. Why me? What did Tuara tell you about me?"

From what Utu said, I get the feeling it isn't particularly pleasant."Salamander suddenly stopped walking, a new idea forming in his mind. An inn, while infinitely more comfortable, held a few disadvantages to sleeping near the location of the wedding. He would be able to wait for Utu to arrive, as opposed to hoping that he arrived before they were able to put whatever plan they had into action. Fortunately, he was accustomed to sleeping in the wilderness, so he wouldn't have to worry about being too tired to fight. As he made up his mind and began to turn around, another thought crossed his mind. Do I really have to fight on my own? Of course not, and if it means the difference between life and death I'll accept just about any ally and use every dirty trick I know.Salamander grinned, his features hidden by the shadow cast upon him by a nearby lightstone. Just because he was taking the situation seriously didn't mean he would fight with honor or any such nonesense. No, he fought to win.However, right now he was still in the midst of a conversation. Salamander reluctantly dragged himself back to the present, and followed up his previous remarks with one more question."So, what's your name? Afraid I never caught it while we were talking in the bar.

Why are we bringing Godwin's Law into the conversation? Keep it out. Pyrrhon said no advanced AI. This look like an attempt to bring Wheatley into Kirse, and none of us are going to allow that. Drop it.

And these Makuta powers allow you to make others things "with your brain". :PSeeing as how Makuta will be rare, it can be expected that anyone who manages to get their hands on one will be a rather talented RPer, at which point they can be expected to make up for the lacking in raw power with variety. What I really want to avoid is one power always being used; that's just no fun. Does that make sense?

I'd probably start looking for signs that I stumbled into some alternate universe."Salamander grinned at Utu, his orange eyes mocking the larger Toa of Ice."Even if you were doing something that would potentially save lives, I have no doubt that you would kill anyone who got in your way to achieve your goals. The way I see it, the easiest way to prevent that is to stop you myself. Not that I intend to fight you here. 3 against 1 is hardly fair, after all. If I want to give you guys a fighting chance, you'll need every pathetic Mark Bearer you can round up."Salamander began to walk away. It was time to leave."Think I'm bluffing? Show up tomorrow; I promise I'll reduce the lot of you to nothing but ashes by lunch time."With that, he left the bar.Now I just need to find a place to sleep... Can't fight all those freaks when I haven't had any rest for two days.OOC: Just to be clear, I don't really think I can win against all of you guys. However, I'll certainly try, and Salamander is certainly arrogant enough to think he can.

Okay then, seeing as how nobody else seems to want to talk about it, I'm going to make the announcement.

Guys, discuss it in the blog post.Anyway, I'm seriously debating whether or not to start a fight between Salamander and the remaining Mark Bearers, but I'm leaning against it. It's a bit late, and I don't want to have to stop in the middle of the fight because of something as silly as needing sleep.

IC: Salamander"I suppose that'll have to do for today. You're clearly getting tired of my questions, and I'm pretty sick of asking them. Besides, I think I have just about all the information I need. You're up to something, I don't really care about the specifics, and I'll be there to try to interfere however I can. We both knew it would come down to this, right?"Salamander stared at Utu, his eyes betraying no definite emotion. "As for Tuara, the only reason I would have looked for her would have been to get information on your whereabouts. Since I've clearly found you, I have no real need to speak to her. Besides, from the sound of it I'd be in for some nasty surprise if I tried to talk to her now, and quite frankly I'm not interested enough to see what said surprise is."Salamander stood up, a fierce grin upon his face. Things were finally beginning to get interesting. He turned to face Angel for the first time, taking note of the Toa's appearance. Sure enough, something about the Toa just seemed as if he didn't belong amongst Utu's group. Although he didn't have much of a choice in the matter, Salamander decided to trust him."I just have one more question, but it's not for Utu. When and where is this wedding?"

I voted for number four.There's some saying for this situation, but I can't think of what it may be... Something about breaking a comb? I dunno...

OOC: So... what's the current count of Mark Bearers still at the bar?IC: Salamander:"So then... Are you not going? I have to admit, I'm kinda confused here. Also, was he 'one of you' back in Po-Koro?"Salamander was getting really tired of having every answer of Utu's leading to him suddenly having more questions to ask. He didn't like how he was constantly asking Utu questions, but he also realized that there were some things he simply needed to know. As such, he had no choice but to either leave and find somebody else who know what Utu knew (assuming, of course, that Utu would let him leave), or to bear through it and get the information he needed.As much as he hated himself for it, he decided to take the latter route.

OOC: Mushy, we aren't ignoring you. The problem is that almost every character in this topic is in one of three locations: the bar, the cafe (if that's even a different location, which I'm not completely certain of), and Casa Juturna. As such, your character is not being interacted with because there are no other characters in your character's area. If you want to get some interaction, try a few of these methods.1. Try playing on your own for a while. People may see what you are doing and think "Oh, hey, that looks like fun!" and join up with your character that way.2. Go find (as in, have your character walk around the village) someone who is doing something you think is interesting and interact with them. Ask them what they are doing, or why. At this point, he was immensely thankful for his decision to try talking to Utu first; at this rate, there wouldn't be enough of them to pose much of a threat if he and Utu came to blows. There also seemed to be at least one whom he could count on to help him against Utu, which was nice. Perhaps not particularly helpful, but nice to know.

Technically, Salamander was originally an expy. Sort of. Maybe. His powers were all I really wanted.

Oh good. Complicated situations. Yeah, Salamander loves those. :PSeriously though, he's still going to want to mess up whatever plans Utu and "his friends" have, if only because he can't stand Utu. However, if someone were to take him aside and tell him what is going on, he might not try to ruin everyone's day. Just Utu's. No promises, though.

Okay, so... In case it wasn't obvious, I have almost no idea what is going on with the Mark Bearers and what they are planning. I believe they might be trying to get rid of their marks, and if that's the case what I'm about to say should be hilarious.Salamander will try to stop them. Without knowing what the heck is going on, he will automatically oppose Utu, which in this case (as far as I know) actually means he's not doing the island any favors.Told you it would be hilarious.

Well, I think it is more of a situational thing. If the other powers are already strong enough and the player is clearly just aiming to make their character a powerhouse, then I'd say it shouldn't be upped to a stage 4. Or, we could just say all of them are stage 3, and trust people to avoid picking any they feel are too weak. That's probably the easiest solution...

OOC: Can't remember the wedding being mentioned before this, so let's just act like it was a slip of the tongue on Utu's part. IC: Salamander:"What weren't you invited to?"Judging by the flow of the conversation, Salamander guessed that the wedding somehow involved Tillian. Judging by the appearance of Utu's little gang, he wasn't planning on making his arrival to the wedding one that the actual guests would remember fondly. All that was left was to find out the time and place, and Salamander could interrupt Utu's attempt to crash the wedding, which would hopefully provide him with the chance to fight Utu once more.I wonder if he got any stronger? I doubt he had the chance to do much training if he was busy running around finding allies...

As awesome as it would be, I doubt it'd work.
