as always: "TIME TO ROUGH THAT CHUMP TERRY UP GOOD!!!" had this lying around as a sketch since last year and forgot about it. might as well make it a little nicer. all digital since digital lets me ctrl+z & hue shift and i am one lazy man. used clipstudio paint to make it but you could probably do it in most drawing programs just as easily. here's the sketch in case anyone is interested. take care bioboys n girls until we meet again

You must find your own destiny, my brave adventurer.” - Turaga Nokama Takanuva is one of my favorite Bionicle characters, and the Avohkii one of my favorite masks. So at Brickfair I commissioned a pearl gold Mask of Light from Modalt and set out to do a reimagining of the Toa of Light, fittingly coinciding with the end of an onslaught of contest Makuta. I've tried to go for the feel of an adventurer, rather than an armored warrior, reflecting the affinity for exploration Takanuva has and the chances he's got for it now on Spherus Magna. It was also pretty fun using translucent pieces to represent his versatile elemental powers. I hope you'll let me know what you think, and enjoy!

I've noticed many of my golden pieces from 2003-2006 turned dark in time, and I really wish I could do sometthing about it. When my Avohkii went dark I bought another one but soon enough the new one went dark as well. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I believe it's because my house is quite humid. Is there a solution, a way to revert the process? My Lhikan mask turned dark, but years later it went back to its original color without explaination. So far I've tried bicarbonate, lemon juice, ammonia, peroxide, soap, salt, leaving the piece in the sun for a couple of hours, casting the piece in boiling water, putting it in a peroxide glass and leaving it in the sun. In August, Shapeways was offering money for new modelers to try out their services so I modeled the movie version of the Avohkii (the one Jaller and Takua were lugging around, not Takanuva's mask). I didn't add the connector in the back so it's being held onto the headpiece via a piece of clay. After (finally!) responding to a batch of questions in the LMB thread, Greg has stated that the Avohkii worn by the Shadow Takanuva have been drained of light. However, he says he does not know how the Avohkii would respond to being drained of light, and is open to having a discussion about what would happen. In the same vein as our other canonization topics, let's talk this through and decide on suggestions to be made to Greg. Would the Avohkii retain their elemental light powers, but lose the ability to promote peace and understanding? Would they essentially become Kanohi Kraahkan? Would there be no change at all? Discuss.
