Irrie
Matoro's sacrfice was in vane. *vain Not really. If it wasn't for Matoro, Mata Nui would have never lived, and nobody other than him could have killed Teridax and reformed Spherus Magna. 1 Quote bZpOwEr

Most of it depends on the point of the topic—is this topic only about members wishing other members a "Mahri Christmas?" 2 Quote avatar by Lady Kopaka
Nathan Evo
As I suspected. Stuart Sayger should not be allowed anywhere near bonkles again. Look at how he's MANGLED Matoro's Akaku. I mean, yikes.

Yeah, but if he hadn't saved the universe then, The Toa Nuva and all the Matoran would have ended up stuck on the island of Mata Nui, and Bara Magna would have ended up being a barren wasteland forever. But in his sacrifice, Matoro pretty much doomed them all, as he gave Teridax the oppertunity to seize control of the Matoran universe. Nidhiki of the Shadows
What are you people talking about? The Kingdom alternate Universe is one that led to peaceful co-existence of different species and factions - but that doesn't change the fact that Mata Nui still died and many countless of species and individuals perished as they weren't able to exit the robot in time. Not only that, but the island of Mata Nui was slowly degrading due to Mata Nui's system no longer being active - eventually, everyone living in The Kingdom would probably perish in the collapse of that island as well. Matoro might have redeemed himself but that doesn't change the fact that everyone living there is doomed (unless they made it to space which would probably lead to a plethora of problems - who would get to go? What would they rely on for subsistence? How could anyone fulfill their destiny?) So not only do all the inhabitants of the MU die, but Bara Magna is screwed over because Mata Nui was never able to go there to help unite them against the Skrall and Bone Hunters. There you go - all the characters we followed throughout the 10 years of Bionicle all dead or worse because Matoro wasn't able to sacrifice himself to save the Great Spirit. How is that in vain? Sure, he allowed Teridax to take over the MU, but in the end it worked out for the better because Mata Nui was able to remerge Spherus Magna and fulfill his destiny, which led to a fairly peaceful co-existence between the inhabitants of both Bara Magna and the MU and much more surviving to tell the tale. Also Matoro's Destiny was to revive Mata Nui - this let Teridax take over the MU and unknowingly fulfill his own destiny, and the banishment of Mata Nui allowed him to complete his destiny while also helping a whole species from being overrun by cutthroats. Matoro pretty much single-handedly let every major character complete their destinies. And great art by the way! Nice photoshop work for sure. Loved seeing the different forms of Matoro. -NotS
Banana Gunz
As Nidhiki of the Shadows said. Matoro is my favorite Bionicle character of all time and the greatest hero in the series. He inspired me more than I can say... he's a real hero to me. 1 Quote tumblr: it's a lovely place to be if you've gone madflickr: mah yummy gross pics mmmPew Pew Pew Pew Pew
