Ids5621
Special thanks to Kortess for designing this fantastic mask. Been wanted to put this together for a while after getting the mask but been at uni. Finally got a break home so i did this. Noticed someone recently put a similar moc up here, so i promise im not trying to steal anyones thunder. Just coincidental timing. Anyway, this is my best attempt to create a movie faithful Makuta. Obviously the colors are wrong since they're impossible lol. Also the red crotch, as im sure people will bring up, is red because it was red both in the movie and the set, and I wanted some dark red thrown in without going nuts. I guess Makuta likes getting busy. Also in the movie he has two thumbs. There wasn't a way to elegantly put that on a hand without making the hand too bulky or unsightly so i went with what I did. Also this way he can hold his staff in a reasonably realistic manner. Ill probably put up more shots soon, but my lamp currently broken. Lemme know what you guys think. Peace ~Ids5621~ 14 The Misadventures of Onipex and Pals! Go watch it now!
Cwog
This is really good! I think that a dark red groin would look a bit better to fit the color scheme, but overall, a great design. I like the use of Bitil's tools as the staff. If I had to complain about one thing, it'd be those super-thin ankles. If you could beef those up, this would be a lot better. Commander Spencer
YESSSS Looks just like the movie. Easily the best and most accurate movie-styled Makuta MOC I've seen. Fantastic job. Crezdonn
I like this because it's small and compact, yet still keeps all the important features of the movie version. Mine is a lot bigger, and I don't think the mask looks as good on it (for size reasons). I think you could benefit from using the head build I used on mine, especially the eyes. His head looks too small compared to the mask. Scroll down to the bottom to see how I built his head, it involves some 1x1 round stud pieces and a technic connector to hold them in place: http://imgur.com/a/4UH2w
Gottwie
Awesome build, though I never watched the movie. But, you said Kortess designed the mask, is it custom made or what?
Munty
It's a 3D printed mask based on the movie appearance. For some reason, Lego decided to make the Movie Edition Kraahkan look different to the Kraahkan that was actually in the movie! He's done a great job and I think I'm going to have to get myself one at some point. You can find it on shapeways if you're familiar with the website but alas I have no link! McNugget
I See Zaktan in the Backround... Trying to Steal a Virus eh? Anyway, That mask is Still amazing, That Staff is Accurate. So far, you are in the lead for most accurate Makuta using that mask.
jmflem
Duuuuuuuuuude... This is beautiful! It just flows so well. A lot of MOCs are just way to chunky or messy but this is just perfect. VERY accurate to the movie as well (except the colors obviously, but thats fine. I quite like the black actually). One of the best MOCs I've ever seen man. I would totally buy one of these if they were for sale--I want one so bad . Great job!Maybe you could provide instructions?? I would seriously consider getting the parts off Bricklink for this to build my own haha
Lyichir
Pretty amazing! I've seen a lot of "movie-style" MOCs before, but few that capture the subject with this degree of accuracy. Well done! UnderscoreChronix
Looks amazing.I know it may be too complex of a MOC to do so, but would it be possible to do a build tutorial?I wouldn't mind having a movie Teridax, and this is the best one I've seen so far. Mr. Cup of Fail
This is an amazing attempt on making the movie Teridax, this maybe the closest MOC I seen to look like the movie, and maybe a little more if someone made new arms on Shapeways I was thinking of making one as well, just to see how close I can get to the movie Teridax, but I'm just going to stick with my 9DRC Teridax. Otos
Amazing, and I already know that this type of MOC exists. This is too late but are there more angles of the model? I just saw a video but I barely know its construction throughout the armour.
