This is not a red ruru. The United States versions of this set contains either a grey ruru or a red miru.

I think the coins are probably more rare than the trans-green miru and the copper huna promo masks, but only because those were free and (I assume) you had to pay 51 cents for coins. I think demand is low, but I agree with you that they are a cool pickup. I bought a set of the four different types last year for $11.50 shipped, but I don't see them pop-up often. I think the most rare one was the one with Matatu that said "TAHU NUVA TAO OF FIRE". But when they "fixed" it, they just corrected the "TAO" to "TOA". Or it might be the "fixed" one is more rare. Not eBay, but there's a seller on The Bionicle Marketplace page on Facebook taking bids for a medium blue Kaukau Kakama.

Leaving this as I also already have a 5-hole. Given the prices of some of their other listings I wonder if they just don't realize what they have?

I think most 5-hole owners don't realize they've got a mis-mold. I intentionally got mine from a regularly priced Teridax. They seem to pop up enough that you don't need to pay "market pricing" (which I think is extremely inflated) if you are just patient.

There was a guild on how to make these a few years ago for $50

 

You use lead free metal made for fishing weights, a Bismuth-Tin Alloy and silicon mold making mix.

 

 

What's the giveaway that this is fake? From the description, it looks like they're trying to pass it as authentic

The stud on a real VMKK won’t be chromed, because of the process used to apply the metal. VMKK are just GPKK with a Vacuum Metal coating, and the stud is where the piece was most likely held in place during the process.

Gotcha! What about SS or WM? Arent those fully metal?
