TheZOMBIEJ
got an original 1992 Capitol Records release CD of Countdown To Extinction by Megadeth at a thrift store for $2.00! even though i have the 2004 remixed/remastered bonus tracks edition it's always nice to have an original from back in 1992! brilliant album! TheZOMBIEJ
this doesn't really count as a purchase but back in the 1980's (i would assume after 1982) my father bought a vinyl copy of The Nylon Curtain by Billy Joel! i played this vinyl on my Crosley portable record player twice now! both with slight skips on the first side! and i love it! the track "Goodnight Saigon" is a great story-telling song about soldiers in the Vietnam war with their brothers in arms! great song! so i asked my father if i could have it since i like Billy Joel! and so he gave me the record (thank you, dad!)! great album! TheZOMBIEJ
for Valentines Day my mother ordered me a DVD called "Welcome To Our Neighborhood" by Slipknot! it was originally released on VHS back in 1999 sometime after the self-titled album "Slipknot" was released! but was later reissued on DVD with more content in 2003 due to VHS going obsolete! a bit disorganized but i finally watched the full video it's just a matter ov selecting numbers on the DVD menu and sh*t! not a bad DVD but they have released better stuff than this but oh well! Happy Valentine's Day, BZPower! \m/
The Hip Historian Iaredios
Been a while since I have bought music. But I needed some new tunes, so I went to a local music shop (best to try to keep your money local and fuel the state economy) and got some new stuff. Evergrey: Toa of Music
Confession: I was never really a big fan of the band Queen. Nothing against them, I just hadn't really heard much from them and the things I did hear were good, just not "I'm in love with them" good. Just saw the movie Bohemian Rhapsody and now I'm high key obsessed with them. The actual musical purchase: Queen Platinum Collection: Greatest Hits I, II, & III Quote Other great bands: Iron Maiden Journey Mercenary The Unguided Trivium Boston Stratovarius Symphony X Epica
The Hip Historian Iaredios
Two weeks ago, i ordered CDs and came to forget the parcels twain. Then they arrived hours before my birthday (Wedn). So in a sense, I gave myself a surprise birthday gift, haha. Where Stories End, by DarkwaterHuman, by Darkwater Bought these for the Symphony X feel they have. While good, Where Stories End has a list of songs where one sounds similar to the next. Why I Bleed still stands as the best on there, the song that led me to buying the album. Haven't gotten around to listening to the physical product itself, but I remember enjoying Human a lot more when giving it a taste a month prior on YouTube. We'll see if that is the case after-all or not upon a relisten.
